Maureen November may be far away, but it will be long before August of 08!

Yes much close than the Repo!!!!!!
At least I feel like I'm going somewhere. We always have a vacation or two planned. (since we plan them well over a year in advance) Just had nothing for this year so now i'm doing the happy dance:banana:

Just returned from the pool. 91 here today, I am not ready to turn the AC on already its only March. Anyway we are BBQing chicken with broccoli and salad tonight. Summer is coming and have to look good at the pool.

Helloooooo Everyone and Happy Monday!!!!

Guess what???? I came home from work, exhausted I might add, turned on my TV and it's fried, kaput, finito.

Ran to Best Buy to buy a new TV :scared1: :scared1: at the prices of TVs now :scared1: and while on the way to BB, ran over a nail and got a flat.

I think I better go to bed now :rotfl: :rotfl:

That did it for me!!! I will just be an observer!!!

I figure that at my weight and mass that I would reach terminal velocity (note that term!) in about 10 seconds! :scared1:

I think I'll take pictures ....... again for all the insurance claims.

And here I was excited today because we were in the upper 50's.............:lmao:

Hazel made beef cubes, mac & cheese and green beans for dinner tonight.

Angelina is so excited about her job interview with Build-a-Bear tomorrow after school. She found out they were hiring from friends at school that had just given the store their two weeks notice.

I think that would be a fun job -- so many excited little girls to work with! Good luck to her . . .

The lady who start that company was here in Milwaukee last year when we inducted her into the US Business Hall of Fame.

It is hot! My DS was so happy to head to water polo practice tongiht. He couldn't wait to get in that pool. It's a nice break after the cold (for us) winter we've had here.

I can't believe I wore black today! :lmao:

Captain Jack Sparrow I just saw your dad on TV! He's at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame show. :happytv:

Angelina said to say "THANKS" for all the well wishes!!!

She worked at Limited Too for a few weeks leading up to Christmas, but business was so slow she was only getting about 4 hours a week. She enjoyed working there, but it wasn't worth it for 4 hours a week. One day, I dropped her off, got about halfway home and Angelina called to tell me she wasn't needed as they already had too many girls on the floor, that was Angelina's last day there.

Yeah...

... I was googling an' fishin' for a nice "job hunting" image when I stumbled across this LIST. So fer a change I did a list instead of an image. I was laughing out loud when my spouse ducks around the corner and asks "what's going on?"... I just pointed and she started chuckling too.

Do you suppose this was REAL? Well... if there's one thing I've come to accept... it something is a ONE in a MILLION thing... then everyday that thing probably happens in the USA with 300 million people among us!

:surfweb:

Crash I get these things all the time on a resume. It is sad. :confused3

Thanks for your response! :thumbsup2
I actually do very much enjoy spending time with everyone's kids...
and I never had any problem with it until recently. With all of the preperations for the adoption, we've been very busy. We've expressed this to all of our friends and family, and apologized if we seem to be ignoring anyone.
But the past few times we've been asked to babysit, we say no, and that we're sorry but we have too much stuff going on. And instead of saying, "Hey, we understand...you've got a lot on your plate.", we feel like we're getting the cold shoulder. I don't know, it could just be me. I might just be overly sensitive. And I will whole-heartedly admit that we've been a bit selfish with our time and energy lately because we simply want to focus on our family and what's happening with us. I know that sounds horrible, but I just feel like this is "our time", and some of our friends and family don't seem to understand...and maybe they shouldn't. Maybe we're totally wrong to be selfish.

This is really more of a rant than anything, and maybe I should have put it on my blog instead of here. (although here is the SAFEST place for it, since I know most of the people I'm talking about won't read it here...LOL)
I don't mean to offend anyone. I just needed to rant for a bit...*sigh*

OK, rant over. Back to your regularly scheduled programming...:rolleyes1

Hi ChrisJen - don't EVER feel bad - if its any consulation to you - I was the first in my family of 6 to have kids. Started early. I used to ask my younger brother and his wife prior to them having kids. Long story short - after a few failed attempts I decided that from now on only my mother would watch them. No more bothers - at first I was upset but after thinking about it thought ok - their young they want their time.

OK flash forward to 15 years. They now have kids along with my sister. Due to parents age and biases, sister has no one other than her and occasionally me to watch "Baby Destructo! (her words not mine!)

Anyway, within the last year - BOTH my sister and SIL have on different occasions told me that at first I was considered a witch (with the other letter) amongst the family cause I wouldn't allow certain things like drinking, partying and other stuff if they were watching my kids, now that they are going through it they now realize that they treated me wrong. Apology was accepted on both of their behalfs but sometimes you just have to stand up for what you believe in - whether that be watching them or not -

I was able to 'quit' work about 7 years ago in Feb. SIL thought that since I didn't have anything else to do that I would automatically watch their kids. No problem for a week or two but hey - I quit word to take my own teenagers and we didn't have the same rules and regulations for misbehaviour - I draw the line at going through my drawers! Finally had to tell them I couldn't watch them - got the freeze for several months but it finally thawed. OH and BTW - I ALWAYS offered to either pay or take my sitters out to dinner - the only polite thing to do! Hope this makes you feel better - your human and entitled to feel your way too - many of us get caught up with our own lives and disregard that the childless (hopefully for the moment!! here's some :pixiedust: for that) couple also have lives of their own too!

Anyway, hope I didn't upset you but before you know it - you'll have your hands full! :yay:

Umm, MR, what happened to the luck of the Irish? And it's even almost St. Patrick's Day. Here's a shamrock to send some better luck your way!:shamrock:

I wish I could send you some liquid inspiration as well, but somehow I have a feeling that the blender will be humming away tonight even without my contribution! :lmao:
