Andy, I enjoyed the Grand Canyon show just now also, say hello to Hazel, Angelina and your mom for me. I think I must have left my green lei in my stateroom on the August cruise.

Hi Elaine  I will pass your message along to the girls!!!

Thanks we liked them too....our dear CC friend Seaspray ordered them for us......and......right next to the leis are the name tags our very own Diane..AllShookUp was kind enough to make.......And most of us are wearing shirts that the great Andy Verandah Man designed and constructed with his bare hands!!

Aw MR you're so welcome! I was glad to do it! Loved the leis, t-shirts, & light sticks from you right MR?

Andy, I enjoyed the Grand Canyon show just now also, say hello to Hazel, Angelina and your mom for me. I think I must have left my green lei in my stateroom on the August cruise.

I also left some of our leis, straws, light sticks, candy from our Perfect Gift baskets & other trinkets in the cabinet above the cooler. I forgot I stuck all that stuff in there until after we got home. :sad2:

Just a drive by to say Happy Sunday all, and I loved all the pics. POST MORE! Went to Texas Roadhouse last night for dinner. Yummo! Off to do food shopping, dinner, laundry, etc. Story of my life! TTFN!

The only good news about this is that we lose them in the first 6-7 days. Panama is on Eastern time so we won't have any the last half of the trip.

Thanks for the info. That is another reason for us to take the August Repo instead of the May repo. If we went in May we would gain hours going WB but would end up with jetlag going back home.

Hey......Multi-quoting is hard

I don't think I like it either.

ITA. I have to do it because the computer I am working on wont let me open another window. I don't want to have to keep going back. I have to remember what I thought of when I first saw the quote. Much more spontaneous to just post as you go for me. :goodvibes

Did you order a couple of hundred for your bestest DIS friends??

Hope that you didn't ruin the surprise, Stace. ;)

Last time we lost an hour after Cabo, then after Acapulco, then again after Panama but before Curacao. Panama is in the Central time zone.

Hey there, Tracy! Good to see you again.

Have fun, Lisa, and try to get some sleep if you can!

I must have ESP because I just woke up from a nice nap...well the kids woke me up to see if they could go outside...so nice to have older kids around to watch out for mine. :)

OMG I love the green leis!

Vanessa got some for everyone on our 12/9 DD. I believe that she got them from OT.com.

Cool....probably not going to have a chance to have such personally made trinkets with 600+ people in this group.

I think that the May repo group has the right idea as far as how to deal with group things like this. Task forces. :thumbsup2

Mary Rose, my friend, is it really you???

Ah Elaine.....it just won't be the same to have a missing sister!! For the rest: Elaine is Doreen and Karen's sis! How are your DH and DS?

As of now, the repo is out of the question, some shake ups at work and they are downsizing my department, and there is no way I could get all that time off at once. Not that I wouldn't love to be there, you will just have to enjoy XOP w/o me.:rotfl: Still planning a 2009, 25th wedding anniversary cruise. I sure do miss you all.

the husband is doing good, he just left for work and the son is great. He is a senior at LeMoyne College and will graduate May 20. He is now sharing a house with a buddy of his and these two guys have it made.

How is your family? and did Taryn choose a school yet? and how about John, your son? I hope they are doing well. Say hello to John and maybe we can meet over coffee sometime.

SEVEN QUESTIONS

1) If you could have remodeled your backyard with ONE big change - what would you do? Cost no object but it has to FIT PHYSICALLY into your existing backyard.

2) If you could have remodeled your home with ONE general change of some sort - cost no object (it's free) ... than what would you do... but it has to physically FIT into the lot size you have.

3) If you could remodel your KITCHEN ONLY with ONE major change - cost no object - what would you do?

4) If you could remodel your front landscaping with up to 3 changes - cost no object - what would you do?

5) If you could decorate or remodel your DCL cabin door with one unusual change - ANY CHANGE - what would you do?

6) If you could have the NEW Disney ship be built with ONE MAJOR CHANGE as YOU describe... what would it be that you would have them do. Let your imagination go WILD here.

7) What would you add as the next great Disney ride if you could have them build something to your specification. Cost and engineering requierements are no obstacle. It can be placed on Disneyland or WDW - your choice... and they will replace an attraction to make room for your new ride if needed.

I will reply later on these questions when I get back fromrunning around. Cheers and chuckles to all on this beautiful Sunday afternoon!

1) Remodel back yard: add a pickle ball court with basketball hoop

2) Remodel home: we gutted the house to the studs including siding, roof shingles, windows, and studs 7 years ago. No changes really necessary...but if I could, I would build an addition to the West that would add a 3rd bay to our garage with storage towards the rear. Above we would add two offices (one for me and one for DH since we both work from home now), a bathroom, and more storage. My office is currently in our master bedroom. DH's is in the guest bedroom. This would require we extend the deck in front. We'd add a deck and stairs into the back yard in the back of the addition too.

3) Remodel kitchen: I have my dream kitchen. I would wish for a commerical sized refrigerator that cleans itself.

4) Remodel front yard: Re-sod, weed the flower beds so they'll never come back, and remove the ugly flowering cherry (although it could bloom one more time).

5) DCL Cabin Door Remodel: Bigger door so I can add more magnets.

6) Ship Change: Bigger pools

7) Disney Ride: a themed version of Cedar Point's Millenium Force. I think a "Stitch" theme would be good. It is an intense thriller roller coaster that doesn't go upside down at all. It just goes super fast and straight down at the beginning.

Sorry Chrissie, I haven't been to either, so I won't be much help. :sad2:

Sorry for any groundhogs. I'm back at yesterday afternoon...

Andrew could answer this, but in the past weren't dogs coming into the UK from the states kenneled for something like 6 months? It must not be true anymore or people certainly wouldn't pay all that money to have their dogs cruise over just to have them quarantined . . . or maybe it's for the West bound trip from the UK to NY?

There is a new quarantine program for the UK. They basically do their "quarantine" in the US (or wherever). The dog has to be mircro chippped, has to have a Rabies titer run several times over the preceeding 6 months, and I think they have to be under your control at all times (no hunting for example). There may be other requirements.

My best fried is on the US Rowing Team (adaptative boat) and uses a Guide Dog. The World Championships were in Eton? this year. On faith that she'd make the boat she did this with her guide. I guess a vet met her on the airplane and checked out Hedda (the dog). She wasn't allowed to deplane until it was done.

I've heard there are some questions about loosening the UK rabies regulations as the Chunnel has opened the door for rabies to enter the UK via rodents. :confused3 But I really don't follow it, and wouldn't have been able to give you this much information except for my friend's experience.

On the London trains in rush hour they pack people in, now if they were animals, there would be an outcry.

There would too!! :lmao:

Every nite at dinner I would ask for 2 bars for each of us at the table... then I would put them into a igloo ice chest carried in my double stroller. I had the kitchen save a block of dry ice for me which each day gets chipped off to maintain temps in my igloo. My cabin fridge was switched by special request to a mini-freezer. The only thing was it is always too small to hold all the Mickey Bars. SO I usually enlisted the aid of one of my neighbor cabins. I would get their fridge switched to the mini-freezer. That usually gives me enuf capacity.

But on the last cruise we had so many people I had a problem. SO I had to special order a 2nd mini-freezer in my cabin. This got complicated since I had a small cabin. SO I had to give up the use of my bath-tub. That's where we put the 2nd mini-freezer.

But that's not all... I had to get the captain of the Magic or Wonder to sign the award certificates. This involved obtianing the assistance of the Cruise Director. Well... I had to meet the CD to be taken personally to the captain on the BRIDGE. There we met with the 1st mate who had to sort of witness his signature as it was being affixd to each certificate. Then I had to guest relations officer to obtain a character signature(s). I usually just asked for any character to sign. So this involve more time to coordinate. I usually supplied my own pens to ink the certificates so all of the siggys would have matching ink on each award certificate.

Oh yeah... before I did any of this I had to get approval DCL HQ on shore. SO I have to submit a specimen of the award certificate plus the actual PEN I was going to use... with an outline of the private event plus a request for use of the space on a semi-private basis. They return a contract of what I can and cannot do. It is lengthy ... so I usually forward it to my counsel for review and approval. This got complicated as he had to refer it to another attorny who specialized in maritime law. This in turn resulted in a revision that DCL had to have their people review. I started to complain that all I wanted to do was have a tounge in cheek ice cream bar race. SO they fast tracked it - and it came back in only 16 weeks.

Then we decided we wanted to have sprinkles on the Mickey Bars....

<steady, silent stares and grins>

Seriously.... can you imagine what the legal bills would have been? LOL!

How come you couldn't just order 45 Mickey Bars when you wanted them via room service??? :rotfl:

Note to you -- they do couple's massages there, too!

We've done that. Very nice! We recommend it highly.

Yeah I guess I didn't put a limit....I did California Grill last year.....with V & A I think it is more the food rather than price.....

As long as chicken or steak are on the menu I can work around it! LOL
