Well....talking to myself. Not a good sign.

My DIS clock is only off by 21 minutes.

The worst thing about the Mexican Riviera cruise was changing the clocks what seemed like every single night. I like the cruises that keep ships' time the whole time.

Hi Lisa! Glad you made it safely....and thanks for checking in.

I don't think so. We will probably lose one the first night, then the night we leave PV, then the night we leave Acapulco.

I looked at the old navigators and they changed on Day 1 (L.A.), Day 3 (Cabo) and Day 9 (Panama).

The PT/MT line splits Baja CA in Mexico.

The MT/CT line splits right through Puero Vallarta. I remember this when we went to PV the first time. We stayed in Nuevo Vallarta and they are technically on MT but go by CT which PV is on.

Panama does NOT observe DST, so they will be CST when we pass through the canal (looked that up online as well). We hit EDT after we leave Panama.

But, now looking at Cartegena, the also don't observe DST, so they too are currently on EST, the same as CDT.

Now Aruba is at GMT -4 (AST - Atlantic Standard Time, I think that's what that zone is called) and does NOT observe DST, so they are currently the same as EDT.

So it looks like the last change will have to occur after Cartegena and before Aruba.

So it looks like we will go Nights 1, 3 and 10.

I don't think so. We will probably lose one the first night, then the night we leave PV, then the night we leave Acapulco.

Last time we lost an hour after Cabo, then after Acapulco, then again after Panama but before Curacao. Panama is in the Central time zone.

Good morning everyone! :) I am trying to keep my eyes open here while DS plays video games with our friend's DS. It was 2:30 post change when I finally stopped chatting with our friends & went to bed. OY! ;) We are just going to take it easy today because tomorrow and Tuesday are going to be really early days. We are going to meet up with B I L and SIL to take the 7:15 train into Union Station, then take the metro to Arlington. We will then metro back up to the mall & the guys & kids will go to the air & space museum while SIL & I go to the National Gallery. All of us should be able to go to the American Indian museum before metroing back to catch the train here. Our "neice" has a band concert at 7 so we want to meet them at the H.S. in time for that. We will have to drive into DC Tuesday and be there by 9:30 to meet at Arlington...so that means leaving here by 7:15 am. :( OY BOY! We will be driving home after the ceremony so should get home sometime Tuesday night...but will be in no mood to do anything after two ... well three shorted nights of sleep.

Hope that everyone is having a nice weekend so far. :)

Have fun, Lisa, and try to get some sleep if you can!

Sì Come sta? Buona giornata!
Per favore Non ho capito. Disboards.
Desolata scusa ti'amo, sempre perché
Non ho capito.

Arrivederci!

Grazie, Fabrizio! Perdoni il mio Italiano, io sono provare giusto ad impararlo. Il mio Francese è buono ed ho un piccolo Spagnolo. L'Italia è il mio paese favorito da visitare -- non posso attendere per ritornare!

Ciao . . .

Tracy,

I looked at the Navigators on Castaway Club and it didn't show a time zone change after Acapulco. If did show right away when you guys left LA.

You were there, so I'm sure you'd know first hand. I just went off the Nav's.

Panama is actually GMT -5 without a DST adjustment. So it is actually in the EST, but would be the same as CDT when we go through.

well i learned last night what happens if your posting during the time
change..& it isn't good.

doing the k-up thingy. :wizard: ,rats...not enough magic in the
old wand where i could just wave????

hey, i just realized, i took a pic . with just m. ! [we look good together
:thumbsup2 ].

after all, we were on the 11-dayer together. that's was a great cruise,
but it would've been funnier if we met...[ i almost knock on your door
when i heard alot of :lmao: inside, but i "chicken" out..cos i didn't
hear any husbands...]. ian?..maybe he was one of those water babies?
him and his girlfriend { from the ship}...antigua 's seafari with our group.
we had major problems with our dvd recorder ( had a bunch of discs
that did not record)..but it was working when he scream into it!

* we didn't do the catamaran/turtle encounter with disney. instead
we were on one with only a royal couple from england [ his mother
work for the queen ]...they passed out rim punch like kool-aid,
resulting me "finding my groove" ....:sail: & :tilt: ! funny, cos @ wdw
we met a young man who stated he was on harry/william's polo team.
this couple was truly a delight..and we took several pics..{while i
still coild hold the camera steady}. and those big turtles were pretty
cool too! they were here [barbados] to try for kids...so she got a
big kick out of jordan. and we really was :yay: from susan e.! she
is such a classy lady ..with the proper priorites! . its great
to find a role model for young girls! did you enjoyed her show? we
 it, and brought all her cd's. :goodvibes , that she had a
healthy baby girl! yes, the 11 dayer was a special cruise for our
kids!

Ciao . . .

And for Andy, who asked for translation, I thanked "Fabrizio,"asked him to forgive my Italian as I am just learning, but then said (bragged?)that my French is good and I also know some Spanish. Then I told him that Italy is my favorite country to visit and that I can't wait to be back . . .

I'm not sure if "Fabrizio" really knows Italian or is just using an online translation service . ..

And he is not "Fabjulio" by the way, O'BMV, but "Fabandrew" I believe . . .

DISmeet during our August 2006 cruise, what a great group of people!!! :thumbsup2

I just copy and paste into Word and then translate there. But thanks for doing it for us.

I was wondering what "Fabrizio" would result in if googled... and this is what I found which seemed interesting.... only I don't have any idea what it translates into except it looks politically correct in nature:

Sorry, Crash, but that looks like something for the room of a baby named Fabrizio, and the one Andrew has as his driver in Napoli must be an adult . . . and, I've been promised, a handsome one with rippling muscles . . . suddenly he begins posting on the Dis, all the while protesting that he doesn't know much about the Dis . . .

OMG I love the green leis!

Thanks we liked them too....our dear CC friend Seaspray ordered them for us......and......right next to the leis are the name tags our very own Diane..AllShookUp was kind enough to make.......And most of us are wearing shirts that the great Andy Verandah Man designed and constructed with his bare hands!!
