Hmmmm -- where's that darn website with pictures of all of us??????????

That would be wonderful, I never refuse postcards or stamps from me DISfriends!!! :goodvibes

Thanks Paula!!! :thumbsup2

Andy, what does it mean that you do postcards and/or stamps? Do you want something from NYC or from the Med this summer?

We have four trips in the works between now and this cruise, none nearly as exciting and exotic as most of yours. Well, maybe Turks and Caicos will be pretty cool.

Can I respectfully and say in a nice way,

SHOW OFF's

I am so jealous, now where is that lottery ticket for tonights draw.

ENJOY

You deserve it!!!!!!!

This will be our first trip to Hawaii.
We are staying on Wakiki Beach for 1/2 the trip (the other 1/2 in Maui). Basically because we can't beat the price. The Army owns a resort on Waikiki (next to the Hilton) so we are paying $120 a night for an oceanview room.

I'm a history nerd, so I am really looking forward to Pearl Harbor. I am also really excited about the Atlantis Submarine Tour in Honolulu. I was on the fence about going, but we can buy military discount tickets fom about $100 for all 4 of us AND one of the artificial reefs they pass on the tour is the sunken USS San Pedro. That's the ship my grandpa served on during WWII!

I love Hawaii!! I am longing to go back. Before DS was born when we were a hip, happening couple we went every summer for five years in a row. We went to Maui, Kaui and the Big Island, but we never spent time in Oahu so I have yet to visit Pearl Harbor which is something I would love to do. My Dad was a WWII Vet and he always wanted to go. It's something that I just have to do one of these days.

OK, I need to go pretend to be productive for an hour.

I have to leave for my hockey game in an hour - we're not doing so well in our tournament (0-1-2). Then DS8 has a state tourny game this afternoon (1-1-0 so far). But DH won his game 12-4 last night, so they will qualify for his league tournament that starts the day after we get back from Hawaii.

I need to do laundry, but first I need to dig out my summer clothes to evaluate how much I need to suck in my stomach in each outfit and determine which ones to wash and pack for Hawaii!!

See Stace - field research! :lmao:

I'm not really one fer much of the rapid fire "shots"... especially of the alcohol variety... so I may NOT be able to take up your challenge on the ship. HOWEVER... I am hosting the 3rd unofficial Mickey Ice Cream Bar Speed Eating Challenge on our voyage! Care to take up MY Challenge? Space is limited and available on a first come first served manner! TWO catagories prevail seperated arbitrarily by age.

For the last two sailings' I had the award certificates signed by the Captains of the Magic or Wonder!

Tom, that sounds like fun:cool1:

Well....

If I pull this one off then it is likely to be worth a few chuckles and a lot of screaming and hollarin'... plus it might generate a little photo material for future use to extort something from your spouse or kids. Nawwww.... seriously, it's just a little harmless fun which is a little different and easy to swing. Whats' really funny though is when we get some serious contenders stepping up to compete.

The kids though seem to have a uniformly fun time... and the adults seem to have either MORE fun or some seem to look on it as a form of youthful delinquency. I prefer to simply declare that I'm summoning all rascals to the promenade lounge for a little game unlike any they may have encountered on a DIS sailin' before. <chuckles>

I don't know what I'll use for trophies this year but whatever it is - it will have to be something a little more exotic. I try to give every participant an award certificate signed by the Ships' Captain and possibly a Disney Character.

I see Mickey bars, hope we have them in the Med. Maybe French ones.

There was a number of worried posters on the Med threads that Disney will not ship them over! Hopfully DLP will help.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Let me know. I'll be holding my breath (sucking it in) waiting for the results.

My poor innocent Mom once asked the difference between regular vanilla ice cream and French vanilla ice cream. I guess I forgot who I was talking to when the answer popped out of my mouth......French vanilla has tongue in it. :lmao: :lmao:
She was not amused.

Ahh, but the Turks and Caicos trip is CHEAP...especially compared to a cruise. All four of us in a private villa (house) for a week...only $2200.
'Course, we have rental car and airfare on top of that....but our plans are to snorkel, snorkel, snorkel...and that's free!

I'm part of the DCL Postcard Project, over the past 3+ years, I have mailed out over 700 postcards. Most of the postcards were donated by a DCL CM but I have also received postcards from other DIS'ers. Also, many of the stamps I use for the postcards have been donated by DIS'ers as well.

In fact, I have some postcards I need to get ready for mailing over the weekend. It's a fun project that I enjoy doing in my "spare" time!!! ;)

Here is the link for the postcard project http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=629204

Do the Mickey Bars come in a WW variety?
:rolleyes1

It's been a long time since we've done a "land trip" to just stay at one island....as opposed to cruising. I'm looking forward to it.

It's hard to DIS and watch the Tarheels play at the same time.

I may have to stop here for awhile.
