Yeah...

we been to Vegas countless times... for fun and business. We are due for a visit there some time soon - nothing planned yet though.

Anyone seen one of the Circ de Solei shows out there? I have yet to catch one of the Vegas shows of C d S.

We've seen all but one of them. And have seen a few multiple times. "O" is stunning...if you're a Beatles fan, that one is really great. If you like something "saucy" then Zumanity is great.

I just received this from one of my cousins, thought I'd share, even if it is a day early..................:lmao:

St-1.jpg

I love this character! :lmao:

Playing ketchup...

pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:
How many pirates does it take to change a lightbulb?
pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:
None, because they just stand around ARRRrrguing about it!
pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:

And, Thank you, may I have another? (really bad pirate joke)

I liked that one. It is probably the truest.:lmao: :lmao:

Lisa or any one else

Question????? How scary is the chat room?????:scared1: Would I at least be able to say hi?? All this modern technology is sometimes too much for this brain to handle.:rotfl2: I have to do movie trailers but thought I would join about 10 central time. Will you all still be there?? I am a terrible typist. I read much faster than I can type.

You will love it! The speed is part of what makes it so exciting. It is the best way to get know each other, please join us! :wizard:

Sending Pixie Dust for DGS.

Hope you are feeling better soon, Andy.

First Lego League. The website is http://www.firstlegoleague.org/ I highly recommend this program.

Oh not fun at all. Sending Pixie Dust your way too. Our DD has MRI arthrogram scheduled for Monday on her hip.

Another way is to drag the address down from the address bar (quick links) into your task bar at the bottom of your screen. I do this when I finish the last page. Just delete the old one when you save the new one.

Funny story about the Banana Boat ride. My Mom when on a DCL with us one time. She was about 76 at the time. She is very hard of hearing but will never admit she can't hear what is going on. Well, we were planning all of our excursion with the concierge when we first got on board and they asked us if wanted to do the Banana boat. She told us all about it and we asked my Mom if she wanted to do it. She was all for it. So we signed up. Come the day of Castaway Cay and our time for the ride, we all walk over there to get our life vests on and such and my Mom starts to panic. I ask her what is wrong and she said she had no idea that we were doing a water ride that was pulled behind a boat. Well at that point it was paid for and so she took her hearing aids out (not that they did any good, obviously:lmao: ) and went on the ride. She did really well, but I am sure that they took it a bit easier than they would have with out a 76 year old on board. I am pretty sure the others that were on the ride were a bit disappointed but they did enjoy the fact that my Mom LOVED it!!!

I have a question?? Were you ever thrown off? That is my fear! I am afraid what is in the water. I am younger than your mother but not sure I am that gusty.

That was the only time we went, no one on our ride was thrown off but I think Andy said he was.

I received this in an email the other day. It is too cute not to share.

This is called the MAN DECODER (If women would use this it would save several arguments, not to mention marriages):

Men say: "I'm going fishing."
Translated: "I'm going to stand by a stream (or in a boat) with a stick in my hand, while the fish swim by in complete safety."
________________________________________
Men say: "It's a guy thing."
Translated: "There is no rational thought pattern connected with it, and you have no chance at all of making it logical."
________________________________________
Men say: "I can't find it."
Translated: "It didn't fall into my outstretched hands, so I'm completely clueless."
________________________________________
Men say: "Uh huh," "Sure, honey," or "Yes, dear."
Translated: Absolutely nothing. It's a conditioned response.
________________________________________
Men say: "It would take too long to explain"
Translated: "I have no idea how it works.
________________________________________
Men say: "I was listening to you. It's just that I have things on my mind."
Translated: "I was wondering why bass boats don't come in 8' lengths to fit in a truck bed."
________________________________________
Men say: "Take a break, honey, you're working too hard."
Translated: "I can't hear the football over the vacuum cleaner."
________________________________________
Men say: "That's interesting, dear."
Translated: "Are you still talking?"
________________________________________
Men say: "It's a really good movie."
Translated: "It's got guns, knives, fast cars, and beautiful women."
________________________________________
Men say: "That's women's work."
Translated: "It's difficult, dirty, and thankless."
________________________________________
Men say: "You know how bad my memory is."
Translated: "I remember the theme song to 'MASH', the address of the first girl I ever kissed and the number plate of every car I've ever owned, but I forgot your birthday."
________________________________________
Men say: "Oh, don't fuss. I just cut myself, it's no big deal."
Translated: "I have actually severed a limb, but will bleed to death before I admit I'm hurt."
________________________________________
Men say: "Hey, I've got my reasons for what I'm doing."
Translated: "And I sure hope I think of some pretty soon."
________________________________________
Men say: "What did I do this time?"
Translated: "What did you catch me at?"
________________________________________
Men say: "You know I could never love anyone else."
Translated: "I am used to the way you yell at me, and realize it could be worse."
________________________________________
Men say: "You look terrific."
Translated: "Please don't try on one more outfit. I'm starving."
________________________________________
Men say: "I'm not lost. I know exactly where we are."
Translated: "No one will ever see us alive again."
________________________________________
Men say: "We share the housework."
Translated: "I make the messes, she cleans them up."

Laura, I posted a few days ago but I think you were still sick. I totally think this so true.!!:rotfl2:

I am sooooooo bored. I suppose I could work on scrapbook of our first cruise a year and a half ago. Are you a srapbooker too??

I'm taking off for home to watch the games and prepare for chat. I'll "talk" to you all later. :surfweb:

I LOVE scrapbooking! My SIL like to get together every once in a while on the weekends and scrap. But I don't get to very often. :sad2:

She has a machine called Cricut. You just stick your paper to this "pre-stickied" cutting pad, load it into the machine, type what you want to cut, choose a size, and the machine cuts out the letters and symbols for you!! It's an AWESOME machine!! :thumbsup2

Come on in and join us. Just watch for a while and jump in whenever you feel up to it.

Chat can be intimidating when you first look at it. Picture a really fast moving teleprompter. Everyone types in what they want to say and it scrolls along on the screen, each person's response on a new line. Sometimes it moves so fast because everyone is typing and you may miss a lot of what is said. Then at times it slows down and you'll actually be able to read everything.

Lisa gives us a lot of tips along the way. Like how to slow down the scrolling. And how to put each person's response on one line.

No, I do a lot of other crafts but I do not do scrapping.

Should I erase my post?

No, I think it was sooo funny. It should be repeated.:thumbsup2 I have a whole room of crafty stuff which my DH keeps threatening to throw out. I bought buches of stuff for scrapbook of cruises but I do have one page done.:lmao:

No, I'm just hedging based on the dates last year. It looks like they had it on the Thur and Fri we will be down there. We are coming right before, and over, the weekend prior to Halloween.

Have you or anyone else gone to this before? Just wondering how it is. Thanks.

We've gone each year they've had it, which is twice (not counting all the different variations they've tried in the past). We have a blast. We always dress up and many of the other guests are too, not just the kids. It is not up to par with the WDW No So Scary parties, but it is still a lot of fun.

There's a bunch of giant blow up spiders, witches, etc. Trick or Treat stations all over the park where you get handfuls of candy, and this year they had apple slices and raisins. The games in the Paradise Pier area are free and the prize is candy. (We get enough candy that I don't buy any for Halloween night!)

There are more villains out than normal. And Mickey and Minnie are in costume. The scarecrows at the entrance to A Bug's Land are a riot. They are real people up on posts like they really are hanging. They interact with everyone and usually scare of bunch of folks who think they are real scarecrows and should not be talking.

The majority of the rides are open. And even with the candy stops and spending a ton of time at the Paradise Pier games, we were able to ride everything.

I'm not sure if we'll make it back this year due to finances. But I'd sure like to.

I think I will give it a try.:cool1:

Step5 and I are planning on handling the scrap swap on the cruise. We are working out the details.:woohoo:

Well, I am a bit nervous today. Mark and I start dancing lessons tonight. Our church offers classes for couples. It is suppose to be swing and other types. I have no dance experience and no rhythm. I grew up in a church that did not allow dancing so I never had the opportunity to learn. I will probably be the entertainment for the rest of the class. :cool1: :cool1: That is probably how I will dance, or maybe like this.

Hey Crew -

I have a quote for the t-shirts... These prices include set up, sales tax, credit card fees, etc. they do NOT include shipping. If there is a lot of interest in the shirts my thought is to put them on my eBay store (not in an auction) as eBay provides inventory and shipping support that will be needed if there are a lot of orders. If we're worried about the "general public" ordering shirts I can put a notice in the item that only folks on the manifest may order and all other orders will be cancelled. If we don't care then I won't. Also, I'll be able to take credit cards through my PayPal account. I figure the ordering "window" will be several weeks long for each order. (Supposing we have more than one.)

I have a lot of questions that need to be answered. I'll put together an email and ask Lisa to send it out - not eveyone on the manifest is monitoring the board. (That would be folks with real lives?? :rotfl: ) Based on the answers I receive I'll know that best way to do this is make the most folks happy.

I also got a quote for door magnets. 3" x 8" (fold a piece of paper into thirds - it's a little smaller than that). I'm thinking one, Just in Time order for them - provided there is enough interest.

And the printer can print up other stuff - bags, mugs, etc. Again, provided there is enough interest.

That said, here are the quotes... (Blast the formattting went away! I'll try and figure out how to fix that.)

T-shirt: Port Authority, 6.1oz, 100% cotton T

---------------50---- 100---- 200
Black, 1 sided $19.37 $15.10 $12.76
Black, 2 sided $26.89 $19.99 $16.10

White, 1 sided 16.30 14.21 12.53
White, 2 sided 23.81 17.98 14.17

Can mix colors to get the quantity discount (e.g.: 25 black, + 75 white = 100 prices) Not certain if we can mix 1-sided and 2-sided for the same discounts. Somehow, I doubt it. We'll need to decide on the number of sides we want printed. (Yes, the Captn is creating art work for both side.) It may come down to how many folks want shirts. A 2-sided shirt at the 200 level is cheaper than the 1 sided at the 50 level.

Door Magnet: 3" x 8", full color digital print on .030 white magnetic material

----------50-- 100-- 200
Magnets $5.40 $4.18 $3.21

Questions I need answers to include things like:
How many shirts do you plan on ordering?
When would you like to order them? (Now, Christmas, Just in Time)
Is it more important that you have them at a certain time, or get the best price?
Is eBay / PayPal a problem for you?
Do you prefer 1-sided or 2-sided shirts? Or do you care?
Which is more important, the number of sides or price?
Do you want a door magnet? How many?
Are you interested in other stuff? What?

We can bounce some ideas around here if we want.

I think I will give it a try.:cool1:

I did take a peek and was intimidated. Maybe I will lurk a little to see how it all works.:rotfl:

Don't worry about it. We all miss a lot of what's being said too. I don't think anyone is able to catch everything.
