I really can't recommend using zazzle.com!
I had to spend HOURS last night redoing shirts and magnets and stuff over and over because it kept emptying my cart in the middle of the checkout process.
Then once I went to pay the code, that they state on their website, for free shipping didn't work. But I emailed them and they responded by email that they would refund the shipping.
Then I get an email that my entire magnet portion of my order (which means only the shirts are left?) is being cancelled because they cannot do any orders that "contain copyright or trademark protected title, name, or image".
So basically you can't use pictures of yourself on the cruise, you can't use the words disney or disney cruise line, can't use the banner we made for this cruise, and some of the magnets even just said "dis on board" with my username and our family name (the one that is showing on the pirates zone website). UGH! I'm so annoyed.I spent soooooooo much time ordering those but because they have the word disney in them they won't make them! And I know some of the magnets didn't even have anything copyrighted on it- but they cancelled the entire magnet portion (meaning only the shirts left) because SOME of them contained what they think is copyrighted names/images/etc?
I thought I was all set with a button for our kids FE at the top and the magnets for our doors- but they won't make them. So everyone HAS to make them theirselves- you can't get any company to make them? Or is it only zazzle that has a problem with it?
sigh I know Disney wouldn't care if I put a picture of my kids (in the port with mickey on the last cruise) on a magnet to put on my stateroom door. I think this is a bit over the top. sigh
Is anyone else using some place to make the magnets for you or are you all making them by yourself? I was going to but the magnet paper I bought the backing when you take it off- the magnet isn't sticky! so I have to return this to the store and I thought it would just be easier to buy a few already made for me. sigh
Right on! Here is my new baby in Pismo Beach for Mother's Day! Its my 3rd jeep, first one CJ5, 2nd Wrangler sport and now my Wrangler Unlimited...which I LOVE!!
Sounds similar and might be the same thing except ours sure huidified more than a "little bit" like you described. It was literaly like... let's say for example you were to take a box fan and run a water hose behind it- like that. LOL
All this talk about sunscreen/block maybe someone can help me out.
I need something for my FACE that blocks the sun but doesn't make my face all greasy because that makes me break out! I have to keep the sun off my face because I have this awful (ugh I hate it!) brown splotches on my face (pregnancy mask that never left... and gets worse with the sun) and it will get darker and darker with the slightest bit of sun on my face- and now it's not just on my cheeks but working it's way up (slowly over the years) around the outside of my face up to my forehead! I put sunblock on but it's all either
A) greasy and makes my face break out- so I end up looking like a zitface all summer long- my T-zone is oily anyway without the sunblock!
B) if I try to use the spray stuff- it works better but if I swim or sweat or anything then it gets in my eyes and burns like you wouldn't believe.
I used it just on my legs for 1 week to see if it would work and what I thought. That was a week ago and I'm still fairly "tan." I'm pasty white, so anything darker than glow-in-the-dark is good!
I haven't turned orange with this one. I do notice that my ankle joints and backs of knees get a little darker than the rest of my legs. I just stopped applying to those areas so liberally and they look great now.
The smell is bad, but if you put it on right before bed, you can shower in the morning. OR, I shower in the morning, so I put it on right after my shower and then after it is absorbed I follow it with a light layer of regular pretty smelling stuff. It works for me!![]()
My JK was 'modded' by Dennis Gregory at Grover Beach, talk about small world.
This is my 2nd, I had a built TJ which got sold to accomodate DD.

I could use some help from the mom's out there. My DD13 has been invited by two school friends to a boy/girl party on Sunday. I don't know the parents of either of the kids who are hosting the party, but it is long--5 hours! I was never allowed to go to girl/boy parties growing up and I'm trying to give my daughter a little more freedom than I had. My husband was the 5th of 6 kids and I think by the time his mom got to him, she was just plain tired. My DD is very responsible, makes good choices, but I really have some concerns about this. Do they really need to be going to boy/girl parties at this age? Maybe this age is ok, and it is when they are older that I really need to worry. There is a boy at school she likes, but she won't even talk to him and he doesn't really know who she is, but she does have some other boys she is friends with which I am ok about. I will call the parents, but what kinds of questions do you ask, other than will you be there, how many kids are coming, what will they be doing? Have any of you let your kids go to a party like this? I realize this isn't cruise related, but I could use some help. Her BFF is also invited, but her mom just said at some point I (meaning friend's mom) have to trust her, and her morals and values. I think kids can get into awkward situations at this age and just not yet have the experience to get out of them. Thanks for any suggestions!![]()
I might have to try it! I'll get some next time I go to the storeSo does it protect from burns like a regular tan would?
So does it protect from burns like a regular tan would?
thanks for the suggestions!Have you tried vistaprint.com? Through all the wedding planning I have found that they get great customer service reviews and I think you can order onesies of things if you need. I'd check them out. MagnetStreet.com is another one that people use for their STD cards. I haven't used either site yet, but I've only heard great things about them. Good luck!
She sounds a lot like my daughter- even though my daughter is 14 now they should get along great I hope! My daughter tends to gravitate towards the younger group (like in school most of her friends, boys and girls, were 7th graders. all her "best friends" from her same age group moved to the new middle school last year now that they had 2 middle schools and all the new friends she made last year were in 7th grade even though she was in 8th grade!) but they have a lot of similarities- well she WAS straight A's until this last yr but I have to give her credit even for the B's because she was put in all the advanced classes this year including one credit for highschool (algebra), she's in band, she was a cheerleader (but didn't try out for next year- didn't like the mean cheerleaders and wants to do soccer and band next year- she couldn't do soccer if she was a cheerleader), she's in girl scouts, very involved in church youth group, and loves to swim! hehe She was also in student council and Honor Society... maybe they'll get along great. Thanks to all of you for your great party advice. I really appreciate it. You gave me some great ideas. She has gone to youth group with some boys, swim team with boys, and the school dances. But, yes, all closely supervised. She mostly hung out with her friends at the dance and only talked to the boys she is friends with. I'll keep you posted.
Funny thing, with the age change and the clubs on the ship, she is thrilled to be staying in Ocean Quest. She said she isn't ready to be in the stack with the older kids. For us it worked out ok. She is a great kid...cheerleader, straight A's, band, Girl Scouts, youth group, and swimming. She was just inducted into Honor Society a couple weeks ago and just found out yesterday that she is going to be the Secretary. She was so excited!
Thanks again for all the great advice. I really appreciate it.![]()
Oh so the shirts were zazzle's design? I thought it was someone who put that design on the shirt since I only went thru the link LOL I didn't know it was theirs! Some other DIS'er had the same problem on our Magic cruise last October, they were drying to do DIS/Magic buttons. IHMO as Zazzle has licensed Disney's official images, they are very protective of anything even close (remotely connected) to Disney.
One of our cruisemates finally had a design which said 'Sailing on the ship which cannot be named'![]()

What sale price are you talking about?I'm sorry for your trouble..question tho..didn't the cost of the t-**** go up for you since you waited until last night? Our "sale" price changed in the middle of my order.

I've tried the neutrogena face stick and various other things meant for the face and says non-greasy but it's SO greasy.. they so lie. Anyone have any suggestions for sunblock for the face that doesn't make your face super greasy and is waterproof so it doesn't burn the eyes? Please let me know!
Dermo recommended Neutrogena with helioplex. I now burn before I tan and that is what they say is the cause for skin cancer. So I have been slowly sunning in the later part of the day. Our pool gets shade around 3. It is brutal before that.
Speaking of bad days. Figured out last night the A/C stopped working. Good news it was in the 70s last night and should be cool today. Service man will stop by this evening.
We have been putting this off for a few years now and it was one of the big projects we planned after the trip. The unit outside was really hot so it looks like maybe the motor or the fan went. Fan is easy, motor means doing the whole job. This unit has been working since 78. It may be time to put it to rest. TG for credit cards.
uh, white flakes= GROSS! LOLHehehe these really don't humidify that much unless it's a totally enclosed place (I remember school being rather humid). At home though it wasn't an issue. BUT with my parents, they had bad water so their swamp cooler blew white flakes out all the time, yuck!
Have you tried any of the special order stuff like Avon or Mary Kay? I remember liking how Mary Kay felt until I realized that I was VERY allergic to it... Nothing else ever bothered me like the Mary Kay sunblock...
Hmm, I may have to try that. I would dig it feeling like powder- I so do not dig having "greasy broke out face" all summer for trying to keep the sun off my face! sigh....... I wish my face wasn't like this now. It's so gross and gets worse if any sun touches my face! It's not specifically for your face, but I like Banana Boat Sport Dri-Lock. Its weird stuff. White lotion but when you rub it in, it feels like powder. Doesn't leave my face greasy at all and doesn't run.
omg what is today? we're arriving on the 11th. I think we're already at 60 days!
ATTENTION
ALL PIRATES STAYING AT/NEAR
DISNEYLAND RESORT
PRIOR TO THE CRUISE
I just noticed my countdown clock is at 67 days and I know many of you are staying at/near DLR prior to sailing. Reservations(Priority Seating) for DLR dining can be made 60 days in advance. That would mean this week at some point depending on your arrival date. I would highly recommend making reservations for any of the character meals, sit down restaurants (in the parks or hotels), and especially the Blue Bayou. Disneyland Resort dining number is (714) 781-3463. They are open 7am-9pm PDT.
Around here, it's common to have swamp coolers. My parents finally got rid of theirs a couple years ago and went for regular a/c. Is that the same thing? Swamp coolers do humidify a little bit, but in a place with like 8% humidity, that's usually welcome. BUT during the rainy season at the end of the summer, there is already humidity in the air so they're not very effective then...
omg what is today? we're arriving on the 11th. I think we're already at 60 days!
Oh wait- our first DAY there is the 12th- so that's tomorrow? or is it now? ahhhhhhh and I haven't even looked into where we want to eat! Oh heaven's to betsy.... I missed the ball on this one!
Quick- where are MUST EATS at disneyland? I hadn't even looked into this! OMG we have 60 days till we leave for this vacation! OMG! LOL
Shelley, according to a date calculator 60 days from today would be August 10th.
Does anyone know for sure there is going to be a Mickey Mouse Club night?
I don't want to shop for this too if it is not a given.
BTW....we finally ended up with a new car that was just dropped off at a dealership 40 miles away!!! Our dealer switched out another car to get this one for us. I guess the 5th time was the charm!!!![]()
We bought it while it was still on the truck!!!
![]()
It is tucked safely in our garage now!!
We got another little Vibe by Pontiac!!! It is really made by Toyota for GM.
This is a 2009 and we had a 2005. John drives far to work and we had 46,000 miles in just three years.
Not exactly a luxury car but it does give us 33 miles to the gallon of gas!!!
