Where is an icon pulling ones hair out when you need it.

Come to found out, it seems that we need a new boiler.

Sounds like 10-15 mickey points to me

Try these sites. Never bought from them before, so check theire return policies first. :)

One of my favorite swimsuit sites is A.B. Lambdon

They have alot on clearance right now and i'm stalking a couple of them.

I have 3-4 suits right now but if this weather keeps up i may just get alot of pool use between now and the TOAL. (Hard to find suits here in august because winter clothes are coming out)

Are you buying them too big? I've not had a tankini top float up......

I had a swimdress that had bad float issues... Only wore it a couple times.

My new tank "suit" comes up in the pool but only the bottom edge.

TIP FOR WENCHES: Tankinis + wavepool = naked wench...
(wear a tee over it :thumbsup2 )

Kids being sent home early due to excessive heat (and some schools without a/c)
Hey M, like the East sweltering heat?

What all those taxes and Joisey schools can't afford A/C?

All our schools (mostly) had gone to airconditioned here.

Could you post the information on the Mickey Mouse Club thing on the Pirate Zone , like where to get the shirts ....this could be a very fun dinner with all the linked pirates if they were to wear shirts as well ...

Can i just walk the plank instead?

For the Mickey Mouse Club t-s**** - does anyone have a good (reasonably high res) version of the logo? This would be a pretty easy "do it yourself" t-shirt project.

That's what i was thinkin....

That sounds like one of my girls

I have a little figure on my desk that my mom gave to me... It says "It's best to be the queen." Since apparently she claims i've always acted that way...

Oh good Lord! Here's the dreaded question....How much?

I'm thinking DIY could get you out the door for two shirts at $10 max

Are we certain the font is a match to original. And maybe we could post the font file to the pirate site (in case someone's computer doesn't have it)

Hear, Hear Crew!

This here's yer final warning! Softgood sales close tomorrow, Tuesday the 10th of June. So, go git yer order in! http://thepiratezone.info/zencart

The crew be only 10 items away from the next discount level. That'd be a good thing as the Quartermaster under estimated costs and is estimating a short fall of about $200. So, if'n yer waffling - go place yer order!

International Crewmates: Only a few of you have ordered. Don't forget that yer goods will be delivered when you get here. Order yer shirts, an pack LESS!!

That'll be all! Now back ta yer duties!
The Quartermaster

Let us know if you are still short, I suppose if I ordered a white T-****t for each of us, you would only be 3 shirts short! I just didn't want to do that as we have SO many darn shirts and I thought the black would be more useful in regular life as I swear, white shirts in my family get stained too easy!

I hate shopping for swimsuits  (what woman doesn't?). I found a very nice selection at Penneys, not too frumpy. Do you have Kohls where you live? They usually have some pretty nice things and and fairly reasonable prices(I have a Walmart budget). I am,to put it bluntly, short and fat! Wearing an 18W in pants,16W if they're made with spandex. Can't wear many things from the Ladies section(tops are too small) so I have to be creative. And formal wear is a whole other story! It runs a lot smaller. Just try not to get hung up on the size, I know that's hard to say because I do it all the time. I used to be a size 1-3, XS-S and 102lbs.....I'd be tickled if I was a size 14 and 140lbs now!! Anyways, try on some things that you wouldn't normally think about trying, you might be surprised! And I like to bring someone with me,usually Mom and they can give you some real feedback.
Good Luck!

I learned that tip from watching "What Not To Wear" a few times a few years ago. Maybe I should make the 45 minute trip to look at this stuff. There is a Kohl's there now. DH says we'll make the 2 hour trip soon so I can look, but I'm worried it'll be picked over by then. Maybe we can do that and use the internet as a backup. I usually take DH since he's good at telling me what really looks good and what doesn't look good or isn't my style. I will also take my Dsis sometimes.

Thanks so much for the feedback! He will be thrilled to see such a favorable response to his artwork.

He has not enter too many contests, but one of his drawings was chosen as the oficially design for the State of Ohio School Boards Assoc. "Holiday" card last year. He also had a design featured on the yearbook cover, and had a piece chosen to be sent to an exhibit in Sayama, Japan a couple of years ago.

He sometimes gets down on himself because he has never been good at sports, but we try so hard to emphasize to him that God has given him such a wonderful gift. As adults, we know sports is not everything, but it's hard to convince a young boy of that.

He needs to start entering contests that have prizes! LOL! When oldest dd was about 7 she won a Dillard's $50 gift certificate (that was before gift cards!! :rotfl2: )
My kids take art lessons and 17dd is working there for the next 3 weeks (she helps in the younger classes and has for a couple of years). We sometime find out about different contests and if you would like I can give you a *heads up* when I come across some.....
He really is quite talented!!!

Yes! Please do! He would love it. :)

I have changed how I shop due to What Not to Wear! I try on a LOT more and I try to always take something in to try on that I wouldn't normally consider. So far I have had a couple surprises including the dress I bought for our grown-up princess night! I often take my mother, but that isn't perfect since we don't always agree on styles. DH is OK, but doesn't have much patience with it. Actually, the best one to take is DS9 - he has a really good eye for color and doesn't worry about being tactful if he things something looks bad :lmao: He usually watches What Not to Wear with me (we miss it a lot since we are insanely busy, but maybe 2 or 3 times per month - it is one of the very few shows I watch ;) ) and he has comments on many of the outfits and sometimes doesn't think they really look that much better :rotfl2:

We will join you! DH will bring one suit - it will do for formal, semi formal and palo dinner nights. I will bring two or three dresses and that will do me. i figure DS MIGHT dress up one time with a tie but that will be it for him. Honestly, SINCE IT IS VACATION, we will just decide as we go. Last time we skipped formal night for topsiders and had a wonderful family dinner. I know........ instead of formal dinner lets all just meet up at the bar in our shorts and t-shirts! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I hope I have not missed anything. I have not had time in the past week to get on here much. Next week is the LAST WEEK of school - WOOHOO!!! We have our classroom parents coming in on Tuesday for a year end celebration. I have been working non-stop on a slide show for them. I just set the music to it today - I used the Brother Bear soundtrack as it was so appropriate for my special kids. I made the copies so I think I am all set. Everytime I watch it I get teary eyed, I am going to miss these kids.

I am sending out prayers to all who need them as we are in need as well. DFIL has Parkinsons, we were to take him on our cruise last Jan. with us but due to complications we ended up going without him. Since then he has a difficult time with his "systems". On Thursday he failed a Barium Serum (swallowing) test. They actually stopped the test early as they were too afraid my FIL would aspirate his food. The only option for DFIL is a feeding tube. He is still at home with DMIL but I am not sure how much longer she will be able to take care of him. I am not sure how a feeding tube works, all i do know is my FIL loves to eat so this will be a difficult process for him & us.

I may not be around here for the next week, we are extremely busy since this is the last week of school - DS has exams and DD has her speech to give for SCA reporter. We also have my classroom party, DD is flying up to Junior Girl Scouts, DD9 first swim meet is this friday & DS11 will go to a babysitting certification class. One more week...........just keep swimming, swimming, swimming, just keep swimming........

Good luck at the swim meet! Which events is she swimming?

What all those taxes and Joisey schools can't afford A/C?

All our schools (mostly) had gone to airconditioned here.

2 out of 4 elementary schools were built by WPA (or part of them was) so no a/c and very very expensive to retro

Thanks, I will. I'm hoping a few more families will step forward with this last call. We're really close. Honestly, given the size and complexity of the original price estimates - I'm feeling pretty good about getting within $200. Too bad it's on the wrong side. :rotfl2:

I've been thinking of ordering a bathing suit too. I need a long torso suit and I live in a state where they only sell short people stuff! I buy tons of stuff online, but that's one thing I'm not sure about!

Have you tried Land's End? I love their swimwear and they sell long torso suits. They usually have some great ones in the overstocks section as well.

This is my first attempt so hope it goes through. DH and I will be on the TOAL.

I get my suits there too. I've been very pleased. Their body shape advice is right on. I've got a suit I actually enjoy wearing. Who'd've guessed? :confused3
