Best of Luck to Everyone booking excursions and Palo this evening. I hope some more spots open for you tonight.

I could really go for one of those Dole Whips!! They are so good!!!

Best wishes to all the people needing surgery or hoping to make a quick recovery. My mother is 84 and recently had surgery so I alot can be done now a days to fix you up even at an older age.

I always loved the to read the weird stuff. That and true crime novels.

I am like that too. Big true crime junkie here. Some of my favorite cases/books, Fatal Vision, Helter Skelter, etc. Have you read any of those?

Just got home and the mailman had left the following :cool1:

I love true crime! My DH always teases me that I am trying to come up with ideas to do him in :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That is so funny! My DH jokes about the same thing...we go back and forth about it. :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I will be doing some booking tonight for the In Laws and hopefully be switching a time for an excursion if they make some more avail...

I am hoping this will happen too (so maybe I can switch up an excursion time).

We will be parking our car at my DF and DM house. From there we will be taking probably PrimeTime shuttle to the port. Only a 20-25 min trip from their house. We will also take a shuttle from LAX back to their house, maybe 30 mins, so it works out quite nice.

We will probably be taking Supershuttle to the port too. We were going back and forth with renting a car, but will probably just save the hassle of driving, parking, and turning the car in and just do the shuttle thing.

Let me begin by saying we are warmed with the knowledge your Dad is doing so well... I take that to mean he is clear of that which was threatening him! And that's a wonderful thing if I am correct, eh?

SO I'll return to my PEANUT BUTTER and STRAWBERRY jam sandwich now - well... actually it's a PBJ sandwich WITHOUT the bread... if ya know what I mean... < wink >

Well... it was just a long shot to match up anything CLOSE to what ya got...

A round of applause is in order here.:worship: . The top left one is very close to it.. Well Done!!!! Actually, mine has sleeves that come off the shoulder , but the bottom is very close. When I first saw it I asked myself "why on earth would they have a dress with all those ruffles on it for a heavy set lady." It came in sz 26 as well.. I had to prove myself wrong.. and tried it on and I think it looks fantastic.. No, I do not wear sz26 thankfully...

OK dinner is done and it was delicious!!!! I made stuffed NAPA CABBAGE ROLLS!!! OMG I impress myself with my culinary skills...MY son said it was better than his pulled pork from SMOKEY BONES last night.. I am so happy I can cook!!!

Loved the pics of the beach. I wish I could have been there.. I am jealous!!

I have a question.. Has anyone heard about the OUTDOOR ADVENTURE excursion in PV?? Everyone is talking about the CANOPY ADVENTURE... jsut havnt heard about this one.. Thanks in advnce.

Hey guys - Yes I know my pm box is full - have to run to Staples for paper to print out requests. Anyway, have a quick question for my East Coast friends.

How far is Salem, Mass from Tysons Corner nearby Vienna, VA? Also, Colonial Williamsburg from Tysons Corner? I am on my way to see if I can catch some info from AAA. Also seeing what else I may have to plan for.

Talk to you all - I know I can research but figured my friends here on the DIS can answer these little biddy questions faster than I can find the answer. :rotfl:

Thanks for any help. I'll be back on later this evening.

By the way, the voice is still gone but it comes and goes in spurts at least I can 1/2 yell. :lmao:

Later Gators!

We are doing this one. It has ziplining but also has rappelling down waterfalls, a speedboat ride, a Unimog ride and a burrow ride :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

LOVE my Columbia boonie hat!
Hey Chrissie - we can wear them with our Mickey dresses!.
What a fashion statement!:lmao:

Just a friendly reminder for all the princesses to check in on the list of participants thread on the Pirate Zone. We want to be sure to provide everyone participating with a little trinket (or two :rolleyes1 ). Signing up is not mandatory, but if you don't sign up, we can't deliver anything to you. Also, for those with no quite adult princesses, we have a few of those too, so if you want you DDs listed as well, please post there.

What are the dress requirements to be considered a "Princess"?

Need your thoughts and prayers for my father today. He's got an appt with a surgeon to determine whether or not he needs surgery for a hernia. My concern is that my dad is 84 years old. I don't know how he'd pull through surgery. He was just put on blood pressure medication last month. He's fairly healthy other than memory loss, but he's getting pretty old now.
Hope all goes well!

Chrissie

I read Helter Skelter back about 1980.

Oh I am so glad to see someone from the boards will be with us. Have you ever done this type of event before?

It will be myself , scared stiff DH and my adventurous DS15.. YIKES... I have to admit, i am scred too!!:faint:

Salem, MASS is probably 7 hrs to TYSONS CORNER,, and then another 2-3 hrs to Williamsburg. Talk to my sister KAP158 about Williamsburg. She lives there. I live in Central NY and it takes us 9.5 hrs to go to Williamsburg. We went to DC last summer and that was 5 hrs .. and that is around TYSONS CORNER.. then another 2-3 hrs to Williamsburg down 95, 295 to 64 to 199..Easy driving but 95 out of DC can get congested. AAA will give you a trip tik. Good luck

Love the FE.. who made them? fantastic work.

Never done anything like it, but we wanted to do the ziplining and this was only $15 more a person. Sounded like a lot of fun!

Looks like Vienna is right outside Washington, D.C.? I mapquest it & it says 472 miles, 8 hours 19 mins., but we're right near Salem & I honestly don't think I've ever made it that fast due to traffic. Maybe more like 10 hours, but add even more if traffic is really bad. It shouldn't be more than 2 1/2 hours from Williamsburg.

If you're going to Salem let me know if you're interested in a meet! :thumbsup2
