Thanks for the kind words and prayers. My cousin and her girls are doing pretty well. The funeral is Friday. Tyreak and I will be heading down to SC on Thursday morning.

This suit is cute. I think the gathering along the tummy area will help with any "floating" issues.

I ,as well, have a very skinny 9 yo boy. My son also has to wear a slim. He has proclaimed " I will only wear gap pants!" If not on sale, gap can get pricey.Thanks for asking this because I never thought of old navy or walmart! When I find a slim that fits well, I will buy all the colors that they have. Mabey I can take out the tag and convince him they are also from gap!?
If anyone is reading this that has a girl....is it acceptable for my 7yo girl to wear a Cinderella dress on formal night? I have been looking for a formal dress for her and they all look the same.(like a flower girl dress) Any Ideas or is a Cindy dress fine?

Our weather here today is high 50's and raining. It's just crazy. There is actually a heavy snow advisory in the mountains. I'm sorry your weather is so miserable.

Well..update on Richard..he called a few minutes ago and I had trouble hearing due to noise so having trouble understanding whats going on..seems the Doc is sending him for xrays as a precaution and sign him out of work for 2 weeks to work at home? Doesn't sound like "nothing" to me...when he gets home..I will try and find out what happened..Richard doesn't like to tell me things over the phone so I don't thinks it's anything major but still..our Dr. doesn't write random excuses...I will let you know.

I saw the car when he got home today...bumper is tweaked but otherwise looks okay. Richard said the guy was going about 40 and he was stopped.

Yikes, I hope everything turns out OK. Keeping him in my thoughts.

Thank you ..I am trying to remember that. Unfortunately, DH has to put up with my long time fears of car accidents which is why I am not longer a passenger in a vehicle (which is also why I am freaking out about our excursions on this trip) When I was 21..I was in a really bad car accident..I broke a window with my head (no..that didn't cause my craziness..it was already there ), whiplash, tore ligaments in my back, and most of all when my head snapped back and broke the window..I recieved a blood clot in my thyroid which after two years required surgery to remove (they tried to drain it for 2 years first but a test came back cancerous so they removed it)..I also crushed my knee in the door...just a peachy all around thing. We were stopped on the freeway and a DUI woman plowed into us going 70 mph. ..no insurance of course and not even her car. Anyways...as a result..I flip out if I have to be a passenger. These excursions on this trip are actually the first ones I have taken in almost 8 years on a cruise. Outside of ones that I catch at the dock and are a boat. So if you catch me looking a little green on an excursion bus..rest assured..I am okay..just a little stressed!

WOW!!! Glad you are ok now. Glad to read DH went to the DR as well.

I have changed how I shop due to What Not to Wear! I try on a LOT more and I try to always take something in to try on that I wouldn't normally consider. So far I have had a couple surprises including the dress I bought for our grown-up princess night! I often take my mother, but that isn't perfect since we don't always agree on styles. DH is OK, but doesn't have much patience with it. Actually, the best one to take is DS9 - he has a really good eye for color and doesn't worry about being tactful if he things something looks bad He usually watches What Not to Wear with me (we miss it a lot since we are insanely busy, but maybe 2 or 3 times per month - it is one of the very few shows I watch ) and he has comments on many of the outfits and sometimes doesn't think they really look that much better

My only complaint on the skirt styles is they drip forever when you get out.

I know! But I must admit, after venting a little bit, I have been feeling alot better. They were a little late, but I really do not think that they missed out on much. I always think when little bumps like this happen, it could be alot worse!

Sounds like the Doc is being cautious. Sometimes things show up days after an accident Good that he is taking x-rays too

We're doing the same thing with DS13 - he's grown over 6 inches in the last year and I really just don't want to chance it.

I'm hoping DS14 starts growing soon. He is the same height as his 11 yo sis and starting HS in Sept
Part of his anxiety with HS has to do with his height.
Keeping fingers crossed that he grows a few inches this summer

Thanks everyone for their thoughts...Doc put Richard on muscle relaxants for the back and said the reason for the work from home was that the drive with traffic is to much. We will see on Friday if he feels better for next week. he is fine..Xray will be tomorrow morning as a precaution (x-raying his back).

Richard says he feels fine except a little sore and back issues.

He got his tux tie and cumberbund when he got home - it arrived today and looks really nice! So atleast he got a gift when he got home.

Great News from DCL on Luggage!!!!!

The information that was given to me and numerous other people over the weekend and late last week pertained ONLY to the resorts! Disney Cruise Lines (at least for now), is still allowing 2 pieces of luggage per person to be checked with the onboard airline check in

I will check back again in late July about this but as of right now even if you weren't grandfathered, you will be able to check two pieces of luggage.

Janelle when we went to Alaska back in 2006 for 10 days, I rented one from Men's Warehouse here in T.O. since the cruise-line tux rental company did not have one that would fit me. I am going to try again for a ship board rental this time since I don't want to pack it but if they can't again then it is back to MW. I got a very nice one for a little over $100 for 10 days.

I just was at our local mall(simi) and walked in to the Tux rental shop to ask about a rental They said because it was 15 days they would charge 2-3 week rental price. (100.00 x 3) I guess I will check mens wherehouse. Does mens wherehouse rent to kids? Probably not! I have one last tux shop to check before We buy one.

ANd you're right we aren't going to *overschedule* but, I am making a list of days/parks/TS ressies for them. They will be there a day and half after we leave. DD is having a great time on the Disboards doing her research!

Hi everyone..

Could you do me a favor and think good thoughts for DH..he just called..and said someone hit him on the freeway (brand new car - believe it or not..he was hit only a few weeks back and we just had the car fixed!) He is waiting for the police to show and he says his back hurts...he says he is fine but stuck on the freeway at the moment. I am nervous that he is stuck on the freeway..will be glad when the police arrive and he manages to get off the freeway and home. Says the car is still running but damaged.

I looked on the traffic site in our area and found him!

Ok..looked at t-shirts again...I will order later tonight. In a few minutes my Girl Scout Troop decends on my home for our family potluck. Once they go..I can figure out the order. I also need to order our bracelets. So much to do..so little time! I also need to start packing for next week's trip.

Tori also recieved her Wii tonight..so I know that Richard will be busy setting that up once everyone goes. I can't find the Fit...I have looked at Ebay but I think maybe when I get home from my trip I will get one...
