Oooooh, Monica, you have a stalker! (Just kidding, Coral!)

Well, that's what I'm talking about, too, we say "on line" instead of "in line" in NYC. Don't ask me to explain it, since it has been that way long before I was born! I only brought it up because you suggested it was a new thing, and it is not a new thing here.

Hurray! Bon voyage and au revoir!:goodvibes

Is that Hurray becuase I am gone? or Hurray its finally here.???

PS

I am having a Mini mini meet with three Dissers and one that doesnt post at Disneyland Paris on Sunday.

I have basic info for the mailing list, do we want to post a roster?

Basic info would be
DIS name, first names/ages, celebrations on cruise, room # or GTY and dining

Would look like this:

tom31b -- Tom*, Ellen, Chris 11, Mitch 9 -- Probably just that my wife is not killing me for getting involved in this group! -- 7503 -- Early

Or, as that really isn't celebration:

tom31b -- Tom*, Ellen, Chris 11, Mitch 9 -- -- 7503 -- Early

All in favor?

:thumbsup2

No surprise here, since I started this up, but :thumbsup2

I'm good with it :thumbsup2 . I've worked in our county P/HR dept for 16 yrs now. Some of the people I've dealt with through the years scare me more!:scared1:

Hey Tom - Personally, I would love it and vote :thumbsup2

However, is this going to cause another blow-up? If people sent the info solely to be on the mailing list for the newsletter, are they going to be upset if it is used for a roster? I know it is more work, but it might be "safer" to send an email to the list and tell everyone that if they don't ask NOT to be included by such a date, then they will be in the roster... Not trying to stir up trouble, but I know this type of thing caused a lot of turmoil last year (which I didn't really understand, but that is OK ;) )

Pamela

Maybe a good thing to CYA? I know some are very concerned about privacy. Just to give all a heads up and an opt out if they want.

Pam. I have the DIS on Board sign you sent me on my Fridge. I see it everytime I go in the kitchen! :goodvibes

Oh yeah, I'm PIF for all my excursions!
I just got my order of Disney gift cards from dd's school scrip program. :thumbsup2

Hurray, have a great trip! You have been on very little lately anyway, with getting ready to go . . . are you meeting up with anyone from this thread or our Med one?

UGH!!

Just about 30 minutes ago I was thinking I needed to talk to you about something. Now I have no idea what it was I needed to discuss?????

Hi,
I'll try to phone you on your cell from the airport - I'm flying up to SF today. I'm leaving RB about 4:30.

Hope everone has a Great Weekend!!!!

The hat needs ears - and maybe your name on the back!

Hmmm. If we're talking tiaras, it would have to be elaborate jewel work on the ears.

I wonder if I could commission Swarovski to do the renovations to the hat? :rotfl:

And I am even willing to help pull it together. Glad I missed all the turmoil. I was an occasional lurker back then. Privacy is one thing, but there also has to be a certain amount of trust.

I just wanted to share with everyone how completely cool, and astonishing, and gratifying this community is. There's no one "in charge",
yet everyone contributes what they can and no one feels compelled to do more than they are able. (At least I hope not.) We are each doing what we do best, and relying on others, with different strengths, to cover the rest.

Step back and look at what we've accomplished... website, topical forums, group clothing, group cruise navigators, activity books for the kids, special little surprises for each other, shared artwork, large and small group dining, loads of information on each port, shared excursions and experiences, more onboard activities than any one person could attend, and the list goes on, and on.

This is a huge undertaking and accomplishement for a group this size, and yet it has come together naturally. Growing and changing depending on the people involved.

We are such a testament to what a group of people can accomplish when they come together in a spirit of mutual understanding, support, tolerance, and yes humor plays a role. Yes, we've had our squabbles, but we've worked through them - gaining understanding and enriching ourselves through the experience.

I am so completely grateful to be a part of this community. And to have this experience with all of you.

Many thanks. :grouphug:

well said:cool1: & I agree!!! Thank you all... for making this truely a Trip Of A Lifetime!!! It's like one big family reunion:goodvibes

Oh this threads been moving too fast for me! I have been lurkin rather than posting and cut down on the main forum as well, After the 'fun' of Monday morning, I had a headache right through to Wednesday, even with Monday off, so didn't want to post too much anyway.

Currently Alice and Stephen are bashing the hell out of each other so not too sure if we will end up in Casualty rather than DLP.

I was only joking about the mini mini meet its me and AL'N'STEVE meeting up.

I do not know if you have seen it on your TV, there has been some kind of telescope opened up between London and New York, we can look in on it in London like a giant TV and see NY, and vise Versa, Presume is around Times square/Broadway.

 Congrats ... perhaps I could meet a NJ Atty there to sign off on some paperwork and then all together we could head up to that House Closing party on Deck 10 that I've heard rumors about

I'm thinking that we'll be walking some fancy footwork between packing up a house and packing for TOAL ... maybe I'll just pack the house into one of those PODS before we leave, put it all into storage and then we can tell everyone that we said the heck with it and will spend our days on the sea pirate:

paperwork signing party in my room !!

Tom, fise you, I'd definitely ask first. This is how the trouble started last year. I used a list I'd been sent that people had sent for the specific purpose of being on a roster and then some people had either changed their minds, or not understood what it was being used for, or whatever and were upset when the roster was posted. I would not assume that just because they provided their names to you for either the pirate zone or the newsletter that they want their names printed in a roll call. But that's just me.. once bitten, twice shy.

Duh! I should have gotten that from "she who doesn't post"!

Don't let Alice and Stephen kill each other before you can go have a nice holiday!

No, I will have to look up what you are talking about -- the only giant TVs I know about are in and around Times Square, so sounds right.

I would like to say I agree very much to this post! I, for one, am the planner for our group of 12. Nobody else in our group even knows what the Disboards are...LOL shocking huh? It has been so nice to be able to jump over here or on the pirate website to find answers and information. I thank you for all the hard work from everybody who has participated. Being a crazed trip planner in the past, I tried to keep up with this thread early on, but quickly realized it would be way too hard to stay up to date due to the amount of posts and the twists and turns of this last year. At this point I can't even remember what I've posted on the pirate site, but after a few more weeks, I'll have time to catch up more. As the Magic has made its way here these last few weeks, the excitement that our trip is almost here just keeps building! I hope to get to know more of you in these final few months.

Its going to be an amazing journey!

Oooooh, Monica, you have a stalker! (Just kidding, Coral!)

Yeah- Monica will have to report me to security. :rotfl2:
Hey Steph- maybe that was it- weird guy just thought you were pretty and was afraid to tell you. :lmao:

I vaguely recall some brew ha but maybe that was when we had trouble makers. :confused3

She who doesn't post wasn't happy that I was up at 5am on Monday it ruined her sleep, but after getting up said, So did you get my Brunch then???
(Yes Love on our wedding anniversary!)
Stephen nearly dislocated his knee and Alice nearly had her teeth brace kicked out, love it 24 hours before going on holiday,
Thats the one!
We will have to arrange a wave at some time.:yay:

Isnt that the response when David Beckham asked posh, where is his Burger?
Sounds a bit snobbish not knowing where Brooklyn is!:lmao:
Send those kids to bed before they ruin your holiday!!!!!!!
Their not in separate rooms watching the same BBC Sit Com, off to bed in 5 mins.

I agree - finding this board has been wonderful. Non-Disney people ( and yes there are a few) just do not understand the excitement and the joy of planning for the cruise and the fun of meeting new people who are as crazy over Disney as I am. We were able to grab a cabin 4 weeks ago and have been reading and planning ever since. I was amazed that my principal approved my leave from school - I will not be there for 4 in-service days and the first four days with the students. It was either approve it or I'll retire (I have 34 years in - and still love love teaching). When school is over ( 11 more days) I can keep up with these boards..

Well, I certainly know where Brooklyn is, have been there, but not often, don't know it well, and it's not the same as if it was set up somewhere in Manhattan (it would be easy to set up a time and swing by for a hello). Seriously, not trying to be snobbish -- more trying to be funny . . .

Now I have to hope LaTanya doesn't read this or she will kill me!
