I've signed closing docs in remote locations at least twice. I bet we have a notary in our crew - you could close on the house from Deck 10.

I'm sure it's not the actual closing date M.... It's the fact that they would have to be out of the house...

One thing you might ask though is if maybe you can close on that date...
Your RE agent can sign your closing docs as proxy in your absence. (We did that when we sold our PA house while living here in MD.)
Then just do a rent back for two weeks. That way you can move when you get home.

OK, I'm just glad that someone is doing a roster. . . I just know that at least half, or more, won't put up an FE but that doesn't mean they don't exist, or don't deserve the dry erase board!

Happy Friday One down, 2 to go ... New Year's Resolutions that is This year I resolved to 1) sell our house 2) find us a new home 3) get a new/better job

I am happy to report that I have been scarce around here this week because after a little bit of back-and-forth, DH and I accepted an offer on our house yesterday Only one teeny tiny issue ... the buyers want closing on August 29th Already told the Realtor, "that AIN'T happening"

Now I'll be spending my long weekend house hunting and resume mailing

Do you know this time last year the Magic arrived Friday night in Barcelona the start of thoose summer Med cruises.

Barcelona has problems now, no drinking water, they are shipping it in.

Congratulations!! If it's just an issue of closing, then there's this really great invention called a Power of Attorney. Used them all the time. I expect M is familiar with them as well...

If it's an issue of getting moved out... Well now, that'll be a problem.

After much hand wringing, teeth gnashing and a flurry of emails, I found out yesterday that my TA was able to get us upgraded to a CAT 6 (GTY don't ya know)

We'll be the room with the open door. Come & hang out with us !!

Hey Tom - Personally, I would love it and vote

However, is this going to cause another blow-up? If people sent the info solely to be on the mailing list for the newsletter, are they going to be upset if it is used for a roster? I know it is more work, but it might be "safer" to send an email to the list and tell everyone that if they don't ask NOT to be included by such a date, then they will be in the roster... Not trying to stir up trouble, but I know this type of thing caused a lot of turmoil last year (which I didn't really understand, but that is OK )
