I've signed closing docs in remote locations at least twice. I bet we have a notary in our crew - you could close on the house from Deck 10.![]()
I'm sure it's not the actual closing date M.... It's the fact that they would have to be out of the house...
One thing you might ask though is if maybe you can close on that date...
Your RE agent can sign your closing docs as proxy in your absence. (We did that when we sold our PA house while living here in MD.)
Then just do a rent back for two weeks. That way you can move when you get home.
