I'm so glad you guys are asking these questions. 'Cause if you've got them, it's dead certain a dozen others do to, but are too shy to ask...

So, we make the check out to; Quartermaster?

Nope, you make it out to Graenit Enterprises. All the information is given to you when you go through the check out process. As well, it's on the invoice that's emailed to you.

That was one of the things that delayed opening. I was ready to go to our "soft opening" when DH sat down and asked "You aren't planning on doing all this through our personal account are you?" Uh, yeah. That's where the PayPal account goes. "It'd be way easier to reconcile and track through our business account." :headache: New PayPal account, reconfigure all the payment stuff. Well, at least he bothered to tell me BEFORE we got started. :rotfl:

As I recall, if you lay the shirt down and measure across it and then 2x then it would give you the measurement???

That's correct.

no that's not right- it can't be right! Look at the chest width- it says 34 inches for a 6xl! if it was like you're saying- that would mean it's only 17 inches across/34 inches all the way around- which would barely fit my 10yr old... an adult size 6xl! LOL

(when it says 34 inches it means across the front- not front/back circumference)

You're all in violent agreement. Just saying it different ways. :rotfl2:

Here's an example from the Adult T-****

AdultTshirtsizes.jpg

See the number in the WIDTH row? That's the size of the shirt if you lay it out on a table and measure across it and inch below the sleeve. To get the CHEST size take that number and multiply by two. So, a size XL has a WIDTH of 24" and a CHEST (measuring the torso) of 48".

To reverse it, if you know what CHEST size you need, then you'd take that number and divide by two to get the width. Let's say you needed a 42" chest. That means a 21" width. So, you'd probably want to go with the L.

NOTE: This WIDTH weirdness is only true for the printer provided items. the Special Order items use a regular CHEST for their measurement. Just in case it wasn't complicated enough... :rotfl: Just pay attention to what the sizing charts say and you'll be OK.

Boy, I sure hope we've got this straightened out now.

I expect this same person to be on this cruise.

Aww can we pee on his balcony...Please....

we could just buy white and wear it on embarkation day and panama canal day?

Hmm and maybe a group of the PIB's (pirates in Black) can bring black sharpie pens and keep coloring till you look like us...;)

pirate: 'ing for a happy birthday...

..Harrison Ford still looks hot even if he is 65!!

and married (or is that living with) someone a little older than me...EWWWW...

Computer generated graphics go a long way too Cheryl...

I don't think everyone on the list could possibly imagine giving stuff out to EVERYONE on the list- especially more than once. We're involved in the kids secret mickey and already with just 3 kids doing this (and this is every night, far as I know) we have so much stuff to take!
I do have a few things to put in the FE's and some special stuff too- but not one for everyone multiple times throughout the cruise. :( can you imagine how much stuff that would be to bring? especially if you have to bring it thru the airport and all this extra bags fees and stuff. :(
Might be able to buy some stuff cheap at some of the ports though. LOL

Ok..now I understand...I thought it was something for everyone a few times during the cruise.....so now I have waaaay to much stuff! thank goodness I'm not flying .. it's going to require extra luggage just to get this stuff to the ship! I have 7 things to deliver...I figured about every other day :rotfl2: Oh well..I will be wandering the halls late at night...

Garage Sale

at my house Friday and Saturday!!! So be gentle on the posting!!!

:rotfl: :rotfl:

Saturday, Jon and I are going to sign our papers with the gas compnay so we can start getting our checks!! LOL! We've been told the big one comes about 45 days after signing!  That's going to make a nice credit on our stateroom account! :thumbsup2
It's on the old house and it's a corner lot with a 13' easment along the back fence! :woohoo:
We live in the Barnett Shale area.

My poor DD (taken a few minutes ago)

100_1271.jpg
OMG:eek: Put lots of ice on it:hug:

Alot of that ruckus had to do with me. The person that wrote that report had posted some pretty rude things about me and my dh on someone else's TR.
It got so bad that he was sending PM's to people and I had someone (that had not gone on the cruise but, had asked him a question on his TR) PM and ask me what was up with the wacko --- he actually slammed me in his PM to her which had nothing to do with his trip at all.

He actually was posting LIES about my DH. Telling people that my DH went around saying he was a higher up at Disney --- then everyone on our cruise meets thread laughed at him and called him on it. DH told everyone that asked where he works -- DH is Senior VP for a publicly owned company. It's not hard to google either his name or the company (and get all of his info!) to find out the truth! LOL!

He also posted stuff about several of us that lead us to believe that he was *watching us* ALOT!!!!

In the 15yrs I've been on the Internet (and I have always used my real name and city) this is the only time that I was worried about my safety. Yes, he was that creepy in the stuff he PM'd to me and what he said about me on the boards.

He was banned from the Dis last year -- for things he had said & PM'd to the mods.

I expect this same person to be on this cruise.
I know exactly who you are referring to. Very, very strange person:sad2:

Are other people really wearing white shirts on embarkation day? someone posted that the other day.. just curious if others are really doing this?
I ask because I'd REALLY prefer not to sweat to death in a black shirt- but also it would surely help us financially if I didn't have to buy TWO shirts for each of us.... we could just buy white and wear it on embarkation day and panama canal day?
LMK!
I promise we will not shun you for wearing what you want:flower3:
I don't remember who was wearing white on embarktion day, but I'm sure there will be some.

Where in Virginia are you ? My DSis is in Williamsburg and I try to go there once a yr and we do go to Busch Gardens..My DH and I got severly hurt on the WATER PARK ride MELT DOWN.. I basically got a new house out of it but lots of surgeries later for DH.. The price we pay for fun..

Have a great time there..
We're in Fairfax. We haven't been to Busch Gardens in a while. As for the rides...I guess I'll just shop and avoid the rides this time:rolleyes1
Darren loves the history stuff in Williamsburg. He is a big American History fan.
Gosh hope you and your DH are all healed up:scared:

I know exactly who you are referring to. Very, very strange person:sad2:

Strange is probably one of the nicer things to be said about him.....:sad2: I just hope he has a different hobby for this cruise! LOL!

Is school out soon for y'all??? I'll email you. :thumbsup2
Almost... just barely over a week to go. Last day is May 30th. I think the first week of June is busy for us though. Let me check my calendar. Yeah- ruby has band camp that first week.
My goodness I just realized something... it's all band camp this and band camp that. She's going every night this week for "marching fundamentals" (mandatory if going into the highschool band next year) from 4:30pm-6:30pm every day.
Then first week of June is instrument camp.
Then marching camp starts Aug 4th. that's kinda alot isn't it? LOL
Anyway... after first week of June?

I'mSee the number in the WIDTH row? That's the size of the shirt if you lay it out on a table and measure across it and inch below the sleeve. To get the CHEST size take that number and multiply by two. So, a size XL has a WIDTH of 24" and a CHEST (measuring the torso) of 48".
Okay the parts in bold is what was losing me. Why do you even need to know that? I mean do you see 48" on ANY of those measurements on the chart? I don't. I rest my case. LOL that's what was confusing me- telling me to multiply it by 2. LOL

Hmm and maybe a group of the PIB's (pirates in Black) can bring black sharpie pens and keep coloring till you look like us...;)
:lmao:
You better not try it. You don't know who you're messing with.... even my KIDS better not be trying to draw on my shirt with sharpie pens.

Oh maybe you didn't understand because there is no way to have TOO MUCH. :rotfl: I was just saying you're not EXPECTED to give gifts to everyone on the list- especially not more than once to everyone! If you want to- and have the stuff- go for it!

LOL
I really don't get all the people that "ketchup" and then only post that they caught up and now going to bed. :confused3

What color do we wear for NAKED RUGBY?:confused3

SUNBURN RED :cool2:

Definitely.

I used to love Compuserve, Prodigy & AppleWorld (?) or was it MacWorld??

I can't believe that we used to pay by the minute for internet access!!! :scared1: DH & I had separate AOL accts so, that we had more of the cheaper minutes! ;)

We've only been online for 15 yrs......

One upon a time I was on staff at Compuserve - in the DOGS forum. It was fun, and a ton of work. But, I was young and single, and had lots of time. I sure do appreciate all our moderators do for us. :goodvibes

WOW!!!! The kids and I did the Mickey head Tie Dye t-shirts a couple of years ago (I got the directions off the Dis)..... We may have to make this a summer project!!!! Learn to do really good Tie Dye!!!!

I always did tye dye at Girl Scout camp a bunch of times. I think almost every single time the dye washed out during the first wash after I got home! :confused3

Hey, I'm gonna hold you to that.

sounds like fun- swimming in the backyard- making tye-dye shirts..... let's make a date! (yes i'm trying to tie you down to this before you change your mind LOL)

OK, for all you blooming tie-dyers. I say GO FOR IT!

Here are some great instructions on the dyeing technique (not the tieing technique, which you'll need to get from the DIS): http://www.dharmatrading.com/tie-dye/instructions.html

And here's a nice little starter kit, just right for about 6 shirts: http://www.dharmatrading.com/html/eng/2170-AA.shtml?lnav=dyes_kits.html

I really like this method and these dyes. I've got shirts that after 2 years of heavy use are as bright as the day I did them. I know because the colors match the too big shirts I did and put in the closet for the boys to grow into.

Now... As an added incentive. If you want to get these shirts printed with the group logo (using the DIY option), you need to have them finished, and in my hands by Friday, June 6. So, don't dawdle. :)

thanks for the info but there is now way I could have them done and in your hands by June 6th. LOL
I wish... but I don't see it happening!

A lot of clothing is measured by chest. So, I'd expect that folks would know their chest size (measured around their torso) not necessarily their chest width. And need to know how to convert from one to the other.

:confused3 But, you're right - that's an assumption on my part. Perhaps I made it overly confusing by providing too much information. In any case, I think we've got it all clarified now.

You should hear our school Principal make morning announcements!
" Boys and girls,we will not have recess on tomorrow'!
Or "I pledge allegience,to the flag,of the United States of America. And to the Republic, for which it stands, one nation, under God, Invisible, with liberty and justice for all"

And people wonder what's wrong with our schools????? :confused3

I knew my chest size (around) but width is what the size goes by and it saying to x2 is what confused me. LOL
But yes... I think I've got it figured out now. :)

I still say go for it! It's a lot of fun.
.
oh I'm still gonna. Just don't think i can get them done by then. I'm making Steph come over and help me. hahaha

But since we're on the subject- when did the "on line" thing start (instead of in line- like when people say "they were on line for dinosaur" for instance)?

seriously- when did that start? In my day you were IN line... get in line, were in line, IN, not on. How can you be 'on' line? You're not ON line- you're IN that line. but the last few years or so I've noticed people call it "on line". I don't get it.

Oh - it started several years ago when Disney introduced it's new highly secret "faster-pass" program for those standing in line. It's based on some very sensitive research that discovered several facts:
  • Lines at Disneyland are getting longer and slower for those who aren't in fast pass.
  • People can spend hours online on their computers without even noticing the time going by.
Clearly the problem is one of perception. So to solve this - well, you notice the signs on most rides "X minutes from this point" ?
Well, each of these signs actually has a hidden subliminal flashing light that causes your mind the believe that rather than standing in line, you're actually online in a virtual line on your computer. Since you are now online instead of inline, the time passes by much more quickly (as per the second discovery above).
Most people aren't even aware it is happening - but their subconcious nevertheless reveals this by the fact that they describe themselves as being on line instead of in line.

Ain't science wonderful? :cool2:

I haven't done the door signs before so i thought I would play with one tonight...still a work in progress but it's getting there...

Wow! Doreen that is just stunning. That is one ride that I won't ride at Water Country (we have season passes to both Busch Parks here in VA). My kids enjoy it occasionally with DH. Hope your DH is back to 100%

G'mornin' pirate:s.
My DS7 is now my DS8!! Sheesh where is time going? I am sooo not ready. At east he wants an easy dinner - chili. This is the first time in 3 years that he hasn't requested clam chowder and roasted acorn squash. He's an odd kid. I think we've hit toy saturation in our house. He could come up with anything to ask for for his birthday! We are giving him a family trip to Busch Gardens & 2 nights at Great Wolf Lodge in 2 weeks. We'll be on TOAL for DS9's birthday, so we needed to make a big deal of this birthday as well.

When are you guys going to be at Busch Gardens? Maybe we can meet up? We're headed there tomorrow (if I don't have too much work . . .LOL)
