Thank you so much for posting this link! I really enjoy designing our magnets (and doing some for others too!) I used to spend some time over on the DISigns forum, but now it takes all my spare time to keep up here.

OK so on the subject of FEs... How many nights do you guys plan on handing something out? Every other day? We haven't decided to do it yet, though I think it would be fun. I'm just not sure about delivering everything to EVERYONE every day and how much stuff I'd have to bring. Also I have no clue what to even give out... And how much money do you guys spend on all the gifts?

I am just planning on doing it once.

Saturday, Jon and I are going to sign our papers with the gas compnay so we can start getting our checks!! LOL! We've been told the big one comes about 45 days after signing! That's going to make a nice credit on our stateroom account!
It's on the old house and it's a corner lot with a 13' easment along the back fence!
We live in the Barnett Shale area.

My parents have a "normal" but large suburban lot in Flower Mound and they are getting a tidy sum for Cherokee drilling in their subdivision common pool area.

Seriously, I'm heading out to Vegas tomorrow for the weekend - meeting with cousins from Hawaii for a soccer tournament - they have 14 girls and their families out here and it's gonna be lots a fun hanging out. Plus I have some business to attend to. So... by noon time I should be gone for the weekend ... maybe.

The next time I cut mine, I'll send them to you! I have to use steroid eye drops for my glaucoma. The side effect is that it makes my lashes grow like mad.

To bad it wouldn't work for my bald spot on the top of my head!

Have you tried it? it may work. I had to get steriod injections in my head before for hair loss. I was afraid I was going bald. The spot got so large my ponytail wouldn't hide it anymore. Dr. told me it was probably stress that caused it, but it grew back.

(She fell down on the sidewalk going into school and used her face to break her fall. I even have a note from school to prove it!)

Tomorrow is the Soccer tournament - with finals on sunday if he girls come out among the top scorers. Otherwise - if not then they'll hit the resort pool early on Sunday! That's assuming the Sunday afternoon low 80s upper 70s are not too cool for these Hawaiian kids to swim.

I see just under 80 cabins listed here (including my little sub-group of 8 cabins) ... and I KNOW we gotta have more DIS friends and neighbors on this voyage! You see... Downrivermama, MrsScooby, pdarrah, radioclash2, tiggrbaby and I have gone to great lengths < collective groaning may commence > to purchase 200 custom semi-hand made magnetic dry erase memo pads... so I'd like to ask EVERY lurking friend on our voyage to sign up - maybe hang a home made paper bag off their "fish" or whatever so we can shower you with surprise "treats"... and maybe a custom made magnetic dry erase memo pad ... that can double as a fridge magnet dry erase memo pad if no one steals it (or your pen) off the door!

Seriously, we were hoping to have a "gift" of a Magnetic memo pad for EVERY DIS neighbor who informs us of their cabin number. SO, no fish extender is needed! Since what we have to give requires NO fish extender. Plus, our DIS gift serves a practical purpose of providing a convenient spot for messages and taunts to be left for you from friends, neighbors and rascally Semi-Innocent folks.

I started doing magnets and FE since the PC May 2005 cruise.. Some of the FE & Magnets have gone for walks and never return... So what I have been doing it putting our name or initials on it ...

So if you decided to make FE or magnets.. it is up to you. put your initial or name on it..

Bip- note: us east coasters with two full time jobs (only one pays of course )barely are able to ketchup and are falling asleep at the computer that time of night....

I had Lasik a couple of years ago and and had not had my eyes checked since then. I decided it was about time so oldest DD and I went for exams yesterday.
Contrary to my original belief, I do have 20/20 close and far, do not have dry eye and my pressure readings were good. Glaucoma runs RAMPANT in my family. I do not know anyone over 70 that does not have it (except my Mom) in my entire family for at least 3 generations. I have a couple of Aunts blind from it. My sister who is 46 (I am 42) already has to take the drops.
Needless to say, the Optometrist said to have the pressure checked every year.

This just equals free fence.
When they started drilling for gas and oil on our ranch- we have never had such nice roads. Alll grated regurally and nice new gates when their equipment ran inot our gates, etc.
Oh yeah- and they paid us to use the roads. sweet deal!

In reality they are drilling all over the Dallas/Fort Worth area. There are big oli rigs right next to DFW airport- one of the top 5 busiest airports in the world. You drive on the interstates that crisscross DFW and you will see oil/gas wells all over the place these days. They are VERY image conscious. They know it is tolerated as long as it is not a nuisance and helping the economy- all is good.

I just saw on the news that housing prices have risen about 5% in DFW. Unemployment is very low here etc.
A lot of the credit goes to the oil/gas drilling.
