Maybe United Airlines is starting to sound better!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

One other thought to consider....

American attempted to do a 10% fuel surcharge a few months back, expecting the industry to follow, no one did. This just seems to be a foolish move, they may get rid of it....

More importantly is they also "retired" 12% of its fleet (took planes out of service) which means less flights.

Looking very dismal. I have not heard anything from any of the jobs I've bid for both within my current company and outside. Not even a no thank you letter. :sad2:

Hang in there, 'k? I've been "looking" for a new job since last August/September ... really truly focussed on it since the first of the year. Once I finally got some traction on my resume, I couldn't make it past the first round of interviews :guilty: I totally understand your frustration, but I just KNOW that the perfect job is out there somewhere for BOTH of us :cheer2:

United cut down trips to LAX by 20%. I have an early flight that Saturday just in case I get bumped over and over!!:rolleyes1

That is THE BEST news! Ds was causing us to want to pull our hair out yesterday, so thank you so much for the reminder to not sweat the small stuff.

Mary Ann, what wonderful news Enjoy your ladies night out:

CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is incredible news!!
Lucky you on your DD's teachers too. You deserve a drink!

..I havent had a chace to meet you during your treatment. I sort of know the feeling of being Cancer free.. Not first had as you of course. My dad has/had Panreatic Cancer and after all his treatments and surgery he is also Cancer free.. Congratulations and God Bless on the reat of your journey..

...and congrats to your Dad, that is a scary one.

YAY!
That's great news Mary Ann!

Did anyone else notice that they figured out how to cure cancer while we've been waiting for this cruise??

OK, Mary Ann's cancer, but still! :)

It's amazing the progress that has been made in even the last five years. They are real good these days at the appropriate chemo treatment being prescribed for the particular cancer that is diagnosed. That is what is all about....killing those little evil cells as quickly as possible.

FABULOUS news It certainly sounds like you did in fact have one of those "charmed" days Enjoy the pub w/the neighborhood ladies ... you've certainly earned a drink or two :flower3:

Congratulations! Great News!

Pamela

Congratulations on the wonderful news!

I can not tell you how happy I am for you!

Congratulations, Mary Ann!

I hope it wasn't ME that is the family you're talking about that wasn't interested? ack! LOL I don't remember not being interested but I remember something about some get together that we couldn't make because it was on a sunday or something like that- I've slept since then so it's hard for me to remember the details. LOL

Oh... bummer. I'm so sorry! :(

LOL
I have a feeling I'm BIP to a lot of people. I wonder if people use the name BIP if OTHER people who hear it will look at me funny. like thinking that's my real name or trying to figure out what kind of nickname that is or something? LOL

I am so happy for you (cancer free woohoo    )

Everything else is great too.
I could relate to the part about the pool- that's the same way it is here.. DH only has to get the mechanics working and keep them working- I do everything else that pertains to the pool. Recently we realized the 2nd pump that makes the bottom cleaner thing move around stopped working. Took some nagging but finally got him to fix it- good thing he's mechanically inclined like that! :)

that's great about the school too. Yeah I'm procrastinating a bit about talking to our schools too. but push comes to shove- we're still going on the cruise. I talked to Ruby's band director- he's cool with her missing part of the summer band camp- haven't talked to the school though. ditto with the younger two but I'm procrastinating mostly because I also have to talk to the principal about the classroom placement for my son next year- because this year DID NOT WORK well.... last year at the previous school did work well (previous year to that, 2nd grade, didn't work well)- and my point is now I know what works for him and what doesn't work is having him in a class with only 3 girls- the rest boys and quite a few of them major trouble makers (like to the point they got suspended several times). My son didn't get suspended but he got in trouble all year- he can't be in a classroom full of trouble making boys! Too much of a follower trying to be "liked" I suppose. the year (3rd grade) he was in the advanced class (that they had at the other school- long story but suffice it to say the different elementaries do things "differently"- one school has an advanced class and dual language program and one teacher for the kids thru 5th grade, this school doesn't have the dual language program (just a spanish class once a week), does the multiple teachers (one for each subject pretty much) thing, and doesn't have an advanced class/etc. ANYWAY the year he was in the advanced class all the kids were quiet, well behaved, mellow, etc. and he followed suit- excellent behavior marks all year long. yanno? some kids can't just IGNORE other kids constantly misbehaving. He learned a lot of bad things this year- some I'm still trying to stay in denial about so I won't discuss. LOL

ugh boys.......

My auto-vac (affectionately known around here as Herbie) has bit the dust. We will be getting another one this weekend.

I am soooo lucky DD gotinto a looping class this year. It makes this whole trip thing (missing school)so much easier for her when she returns

Edited your quote to maximize dancing bananas

Congrats!!!!

sorry, had to edit your bananas :scared1:

Those are the best words ever!!! Just go out and enjoy life even a little more!!;) Congrats on being "cancer free.:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Hate when you don't even get a "no thank you"

Ever look at Disney corporate website? They have some fine print that when you apply they are telling you if you don't hear back, that means thanks but no thanks.... so you just sit and wait and wait....

I believe if you take the time to apply for a postion..........the least the company could do is give a "No thanks" letter.

UGH, crazy week around here. Just popping by, clearly I won't be able to ketchup as I left off on page 24!!!

That seems to be going overboard a little bit!
Yeah!

Customers who purchase domestic economy class tickets on or after May 12, 2008 but before June 15, 2008 may check one bag for free and check a second bag for $25 each way. Customers who purchase domestic economy class tickets on or after June 15, 2008 will be charged $15 each way for the first checked bag and $25 each way for the second checked bag. I totally agree with that, but being someone who hires and also being very very busy at work non stop, sometimes things just get away from me and I can't take the time to get it done very promptly. OR, I will see something in the resume that I like, but someone else may have more experience or whatever, but I just plain run out of time.

We do have a system that does keep the name in our hiring system until we properly disposition the applicant, but it still takes alot of time and sometimes takes way too long.

For which I sincerely apologize to those applicants. But a no right away from me would me that you don't fit at all. So a delay in my case means that I am considering it...so maybe good news!

Now we are near 360/287.

BIP if you're near Hillsboro I'm up for a shopping trip! :rotfl: :rotfl: And my favorite BBQ place is in Grandview (we have been known to go there after church on Sundays....).

After school is out for y'all PM me we are alot more flexible this summer then last summer!

Tom are you actually working!!!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Aren't you in competion with Roger??;)
