16 year anniversaries seem to be popular with this group. My DH and I will celebrate ours on August 1st.

I've never dressed formal on formal nights (though may do so this time). Jacket and tie is just fine. Don't skip dinner just on that account - there are plenty of people not wearing Tuxes on DCL cruises (in fact, I think it's safe to say that the majority of people are not wearing tuxes - and that's not even including the kids).

I totally agree with this! This is our first time "Going All Out". Here's what we wore on our last cruise:

In fact,the more I think about it, I may just wear this one again instead of getting a new one. This is the only time I wore this dress.

I still can only wear my worn out flip flops. Not even sneakers. At least no real pain I am feeling but the toe is just to swelled up.

I've seen an awful lot of really cute flip flops out there! You could always get a pair that are sequined.

I keep looking for the Mickey vest cheap but have not found any. The tux was enough to buy!!.

You're right Cher about suits being so heavy... My dresses are pretty light so far. His coats are not as light...

I'm going dress hunting tonight.... I'm hoping i really like the red for the dress i want because i found a red mickey cumberbund/tie set for DH on ebay that's not too $$.

If you can figure out how to make paypal work ok....

Non-us customers (ie brits/canadians/NZ's) trigger all kinds of extra fees for you i've found out the hard way...

and i've never been able to accurately figure out how to calculate so that cost + paypal service fee = right $ amt to me. (because the more $ you collect the higher the service fee...)

that is so ridiculous. I have never heard of anything like that in my life! I mean what a waste of time and money and energy and and and- our sleep! LOL

Yeah my HS made us come 20 minutes on the last day. UGGGGGGGGG I usually didn't go.

Don't forget the "sniper" attacks we had a few years ago. I remember teaching during that time and having a couple of days off

We were in MOnkey co then... DH used to drive the back way to Silver spring until that first day... I told him not to until he was caught....

Actually the day of the attacks...DD had school but was home with me that morning. We were moving to Germantown and they were supposed to give gifted testing at her new school. When we arrived they said testing was cancelled because of the code red.... So i took her back to her other school.

A crane collapsed three blocks from here and the emergency response going by here is incredible. Luckily for us it happened north of the way we walk to school, so although it happened at that time we were not there. Not sure how bad it is going to be, but from what I am seeing so far it looks bad. I know that crane, and just pointed it out to the girls the other day and noted how precarious it looked.

I am going to be changing everything.........mostly because of research and it does help knowing all the tips coming in from the west bound group.

Like maybe the Acapulco Cliff Divers and shopping? Anyone actually keeping that excursion? Overwhelming negative reviews.

Yes, this is definitely too close for comfort -- when I look out our windows, there is nothing except fire tricks, police emergency response, etc., parked on our block, and all normal traffic has been diverted. I was just about to leave home after having walked the girls into school when I heard so many sirens and thought I would turn on the news to see if I could figure out what is up. I know the building hit well -- that Duane Reade drugstore is the closest one to our apartment and I often go there. I don't believe I know anyone in that building, though. At any rate, we are all fine.

Mary Ann we are going to have to sit you with my youngest DD. We were out to dinner last week and she ordered breakfast for dinner. We were busy talking when we heard "Ouuu this is good". She had taken a pat of butter and smeared it over her bacon. That is what I would consider fat on top of fat.


Well I am off to jury duty today. I have been on call all week, hoping to get called on one of my work days. But no my number comes up on my day off I will see all of you tonight.

Well I am off to jury duty today. I have been on call all week, hoping to get called on one of my work days. But no my number comes up on my day off I will see all of you tonight.

So here is one. I received an envelope from my dad earlier this week. Dad usually e-mails, so it was odd. He was forwarding a letter from his local court addressed to my maiden name. It was a summons questionairre...sent to an address I haven't live at for almost 18 years, to a name I haven't had for almost 14 years. Odd.

I've been watching the news this morning and praying for all those affected, especially those injured and those killed. This is so sad, especially given the fact that this kind of accident happened just recently.
