Thanks for all the birthday wishes!! It was nice to read through them.

I'm about 15 pages behind, and see no chance for ketchup. Gotta go deal with the t-**** orders. PM me if it's important and you need my attention for something?

Thanks!

That is what I am going to do. He might as well get his money's worth out of his tux!!! I keep looking for the Mickey vest cheap but have not found any. The tux was enough to buy!!. I have two different cumberbunds....one in black and one in gray!!:thumbsup2

Cheryl, I bought Kev's on Ebay.

His necktie is the same pattern.

I am glad it was you telling her!!!:thumbsup2 The funny part is that I understood all of it!!

But semiformal night??????:confused3

It is not so much as the space because we are grandfathered in for 2 suitcases each and two carryons but A suit weighs a lot plus a tux!!!:headache:

Okay what is the rainforest room??? I may need to do this??:confused3

I have know dear John three / fourths of my life!!!:scared1:

But what about semi formal night???:confused3

Yes Lori ....I am leaning to him just wearing his tux with a dress shirt and tie!!

Okay now you have me really jealous!!!:(

Yes and another suit for John weighs a lot more than a formal!!;)

What is Pete and Jack going to wear for semi formal night. That was the debate of whether to bring another suit. I am voting no!!! He will just have to suck it up wearing a tux three times!!!::yes:: ::yes::

I think they are going to wear their tuxes (I don't think they want to bring another suit). Too much pirate gear in the luggage.:rotfl2:

How many of you ladies have talked your Better Halfs into wearing a "Monkey Suit"?
Kevin says he will if he won't stick out like a sore thumb.

We're going to rent the DCL package & bring his own vests & ties (custom Dory vest & tie, plus one other TBD)

QUESTION????

What are the men wearing for semi-formal night????? :confused3 :confused3 On our 10 Wonder Cruise.......everyone was dressed just like formal night!!!:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

We're thinking white dinner jacket that night.

Great idea Sara.......but they might have their reservations disappear!!:lmao: :lmao: ;) ;)

Hey, if their ressies disappear, then there's a better chance for some of us to get an upgrade. Seriously, I've decided that we're going to get an upgrade. I figure it's the least DCL can do for all the annoyance they've put us through.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Us as well.... My DH is not a normal - I mean formal person either. Less to pack I supose.

Penny

Took me years and years to get mine even in a tie. :lmao: Now I think he likes playing adult!!:lmao: :lmao:

Cheryl, I bought Kev's on Ebay.

He has that tie and I just didn't want to pay another $50 for the vest and bow tie!!:( I do love it and I keep hawking e-bay for cheaper!!;)

I think they are going to wear their tuxes (I don't think they want to bring another suit). Too much pirate gear in the luggage.:rotfl2:

Yes......so I guess just one tux...no suit .....and lots and lots of pirates costumes!!!:dance3: :cool1: :cool1:

So Sara.......does that mean I could go from a 5 Cat to maybe a four or 3 Cat!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

Hi Gang!!

I have been MIA - while being Really busy is better than being bored - I am so far behind here!!

*NOTE* - am getting the last of the price quotes from the bus companies. Changes due to price hikes w/diesel/gas prices!! Will have all quotes by tomorrow - and will post thereafter. So far $10 pp is the average.

( Deposit due upon reservation - Full payment to be paid 2 wks prior to departure - I am willing to pay in advance - how does everyone feel about paying me via paypal)

Belated Happy B'day to all I missed!!:cake: :cake:

   to all our hurting pirates!

Ah - Formal Nights

DH is wearig a tux - DGS (7yrs) - tux. DD Lori & I are getting our gowns later this summer as we are trying to minimize ourselves - slow going!!

Although - the dog trainer I have says I need to walk my Big puppy at least 2 hrs a day - maybe the minimizing might go faster!!

Gosh - I made mental notes as I skimmed - so I could post responses - so much for my mental notes. I'd say its age - but DD just came in and said she forgot what she came to say!!!!!

QUESTION????

What are the men wearing for semi-formal night????? :confused3 :confused3 On our 10 Wonder Cruise.......everyone was dressed just like formal night!!!:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I will be wearing a tux for both of the formal nights and I am thinking of a blazer for semi-formal and Palo nights.

Cheryl,

The Rainforest is part of the spa on the ship. Check out castawayclub . com (link wouldn't work)
Click on Spa and photos of the rainforest. there are 3 steam rooms..and these awesome heated loungers..you can just lie there...very relaxing..anyways..you can use the rainforest for $15 (I think) if you have a treatment or 120.00 for the entire cruise.

We could start a thread for the younger group. I would like to see one with the 8-12 or 9-12 group or under 12..something like that.
that would be great!

Sounds great.

Problem is I've been ignored by all the webmasters and some of the moderators. I've emailed and PM'd them all. Have not gotten anything back from anyone!!! Since my son is under 13, I need to give my permission for him to post. The instructions say to fax, but I don't have a fax. Many others have been successful with emailing someone. I have not. :confused3
We're having problems getting DD9 signed up also. We're not hearing back from anyone either.:confused3
Well, baring a h******* or a t******* s**** (I refuse to even TYPE those words! - Tom's luck has to break sometime doesn't it? :rotfl2: ) we should have better weather in the Caribbean compared to out in the Pacific. Do we have anyone who is good at getting info out of DCL who might be able to find out more about what "Ballroom under the Stars" should be?

Does anyone know much about Mexican night? I've got Palo's planned for dinner - if it is just the theme for dinner, I don't really mind missing it (we have great Mexican food here at home) but if its a big deal then maybe I'm going to have to try and change things around ...

Pamela
We have Palo for Tropical Night

Any idea on what time that busses would be leaving for the port?

We're just in the process of getting everything finalized right now. General concensus is everyone wants to be early to Port. We are waiting a bit to see what time the Mexician Riveria cruisers are being allowed into the terminal and then make a time decision.

There will also possibly be a stop for water/pop/liquor before heading to Port.

If you are interested in going on the Pirate Bus to Port, send me a PM.

Our district has the last day as 15 minutes! How stupid is that? They actually run the buses and everything for this! :confused3 This year it is on Monday June 9th and it just so happens I will be the only one in the office that day. I am supposed to open the office by 8:30am - DS9 will most likely get home from school around 9-9:15am. Thankfully, my nextdoor neighbor has agreed to take him for the day :thumbsup2 She is great and DS will have a blast playing with her kids all day - but I don't know what other parents do to handle this insanity.

Pamela
that is so ridiculous. I have never heard of anything like that in my life! I mean what a waste of time and money and energy and and and- our sleep! LOL
Although I agree that they don't really do anything that last week or two anyway. They do the TAKS tests a few weeks before the end of the school year and then basically do nothing after that. They have end of year parties for each thing (class, G&T class, student council, band, cheerleaders, etc.), playday, other field trips like for good conduct grades all year, AR party for the 6wks, AR party for the entire year if they made the AR goal all year every 6wks, awards ceremonies, etc. etc. etc.
Asked my youngest what they've been doing and she said oh for the longest time they've just been doing fun stuff in class. yep, just like I thought.

(and they do get out of school early tomorrow- although it's not half a day... it's at 2:30pm)

I've noticed that I retain more water than I used to also:headache:
I'm hoping that if I drink a lot of water and try to get in some walking in the morning that it won't be too bad:confused3
I normally only retain water when I don't drink much- but on the cruise I was drinking water constantly and drank plenty... but still swelled up. I was told it had to do with something about the salt water and humidity or something? I dunno. but it was a total bummer! But by the next morning at home after the cruise- I was back to normal. weird huh? And it wasn't just being on my feet a lot- I was on my feet less on the cruise than at the parks and I can go a week of nonstop on my feet at the parks and never get swollen feet and such. :confused3

Same here... Not sure yet what we're doing. Neither of us are the dressing up type... I can name the 5 times over the last 3 years that we have dressed up and each was for a wedding (including our own :rotfl2: ) or funeral.
Same here too. Neither of us are the dressing up type- especially since I gained the weight back after I lost weight, bought a bunch of new clothes and got rid of the bigger clothes! And now I dunno- i just can't seem to find anything I like on my "body size" that I am right now. I need to get ON THE BALL on losing some weight before this cruise- time is running out for sure! :( Anyway, DH could wear a suit but doesn't own a tux. I dunno. We're thinking maybe of just skipping the dining rooms on formal nights. I know for a lot of people it's fun to dress up -but for us it's really not and besides, we don't have the money to spend on formal wear for the cruise- we're already trying to budget like crazy just to pay for everything on the cruise, DL before the cruise, etc. All we've paid for is the cruise and the flights- yanno? there is SO much more to still pay for.....

I'm fine with paying via paypal. :)

I've never dressed formal on formal nights (though may do so this time). Jacket and tie is just fine. Don't skip dinner just on that account - there are plenty of people not wearing Tuxes on DCL cruises (in fact, I think it's safe to say that the majority of people are not wearing tuxes - and that's not even including the kids).

They are many other reasons the schools close around here.... When DD was in 5th grade...we had 2 or 3 days off the first two weeks of schools because bad hurricanish storms (ok one was a hurricane) had knocked out the power to our neighborhood for days....

Then that same year was that freakish Presidents day snow storm (there went another 5 days off) Before we knew it they had to add days to the school year....

SO that kinda explains why they don't just change end of year until the very end of May.

Don't forget the "sniper" attacks we had a few years ago. I remember teaching during that time and having a couple of days off so they could figure out how to keep the kids safe. One of the attack stook place a few miles from our home.

WOW! Thanks for doing all that. It seems really cheap, which is good, cheap is good at this point!

I will wear a dress and DH will wear a suit on formal nights - no tuxes here. Please don't skip your dining because of no tux. I think you will see people in all sorts of apparel, not just tuxes. I HATE dressing up and so does DH and DS. DD on the other hand loves to play dressup!

Alan and Adam will be renting tuxes on board--saves lots of valuable luggage space. I think it is fun to dress up for dinner--it's somthing we only really do on a cruise. But it doesn't bother me in the least if others don't dress up. I sure wouldn't skip a dinner because it was formal night and I didn't "dress up". :goodvibes

Cheryl, my guys have worn their tuxes for semi formal night too. For Palo, Alan will wear a dress shirt and a tie, but no jacket. And :wave2: to you too:)
