Anyone noticed this?

3 transits of the Panama canal by the Magic so far, each time the Magic has used the same set of locks. IE going West to the left, of the two or if going Eastbound the right of the two. (As you approach)

Presume is because of the viewing gallery's are on that side, IE Port W/B and Starboard E/B. We saw yesterday people waiting to watch the Magic on land on its port side. At the last two locks, Perdo Miguel and Miraflores.

If this pattern is the same, the Port side will get the view of the other set of locks and the ships going through them. Starboard whatever lock it goes through will see the viewing galleries.

Okay....so...in American English.......I'm on port side....what will I see from my verandah???

By the way......Anyone know the difference between a VERANDAH and a BALCONY?????

Well firstly ensure you do not have a 19 year old teen next door or you could see, (sorry thats another thread)

If the 4th cruise ( ours) is the same as the other three, you will have a view right over the middle of the locks and also the other lock where ships can also be going through,

The viewing galleries of the canal will be the other side so will be the Panama railway. But you will see more of the locks than S/board.

By the way......Anyone know the difference between a VERANDAH and a BALCONY?????

Whats the difference between a Buffalo and a Bison

I wash my hands in a Bison,

Hi all:yay:
I had fun watching the PC crossing yesterday from work:woohoo:
Just lurking though, cause I don't feel comfortable posting from work, yet:rolleyes:

I did get home to see that I had left the extra window open after the pirate run yesterday-- and low and behold it had my post as #2000 and Roger's was nowhere near it:headache: In fact it was all wenches around the 2000:confused3 I didn't want to close the window cause I knew it would disappear:lmao:
So Coral and Mary Ann (and someone else) you guys were right :thumbsup2 I did have it and he pirated it away somehow:sad2:

I have decided to forgive Roger though since the PC crossing videos he posted were very cool and I got to show the family what they missed:flower3:

Oh and Andy, Angelina looks stunning in her prom dress, Wow:thumbsup2

I'm gonna be busy today with Kelly's party. She is going to see Prince Caspian with her friends and then a sleepover. Combine that with "hassle free" booking on Sunday night and I've decided to take Monday off.

I'll be back on Sunday, don't post too much please, at least not anything important;) .

Sorry Laurie :sad2: I promise I didn't do anything fancy, I guess I am just a pirate:

Why does this always happen to me? I get all ketched up and I'm talking to myself. :confused3

 Hi Stacey I'm here

QUICK LITTLE POLL......

Regarding tomorrow night's bookings....Are you:

1. Nervous

2. Excited

And why???

No worries, it will be hassle free right:scared1: Most of the pressure is off since I have something in most of the ports. If I don't get what I want we can make our own. I hope that we can get a bunch of us together for Palo brunch, but even that can be added once we get on the ship. The only thing that concerns me is the computer going down until about 3am PDT (6am EDT) and all those East coast pirate: s snag the good stuff.

I did get home to see that I had left the extra window open after the pirate run yesterday

lol I fee like an idiot. As I was skimming, I had to go reread this one because I thought you left a house window open and was waiting for the climax of a torrential rain or hail storm or something. :rotfl:

Nervous that I'm going to fall asleep before it's booked  or that it's going to take forever and I'm going to fall asleep at work the next day. :rolleyes1

Did everyone see this. Virtual WDW on Google Earth starting Tuesday. :cool1:

It's a small world, thanks to Google Earth

By Kitty Bean Yancey, USA TODAY
Starting this month, you can tour realistic re-creations of Disney's Florida theme parks and resorts simply by clicking your computer mouse.
In a pioneering partnership aiming to go online Tuesday, Google Earth and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts will make it easy to take a virtual trip to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios and 22 Disney hotels and resorts.

CITY GUIDE: Orlando hotels, restaurants and more
PHOTO GALLERY: Orlando's top ten thrill rides
Computer users will click on maps that show about 1,500 rides, restaurants and attractions in 3-D.

The mega-map, with interactive features, will be available via disneyworld.com/3dparks or Google Earth (earth.google.com) for free.

"It's a virtual walk-through of the whole property … the most amazing virtual tour of any place in the world," Walt Disney Parks and Resorts chairman Jay Rasulo says.

While Google Earth offers a growing number of 3-D images and gives bird's-eye views of theme parks, with links to information about them, the Disney project is the most ambitious and detailed 3-D production yet. It's "truly innovative and unique," says Google Earth maps director John Hanke.

Disney's Rasulo expects the map to serve as a cutting-edge trip planner ("it's one small step from actually being there") and an armchair diversion for legions of Disney World fans. Up to three-quarters of Disney World visitors are repeaters, Rasulo says; about one-third are adults. Disney does not release attendance figures.

The map began with eight photographers who canvassed every inch of Disney World for 10 days. Then their images were rendered in 3-D.

Click on Space Mountain, for instance, and you can view a video of the ride and get information such as height requirements. Put your mouse on the Grand Floridian and a video of the resort pops up. You also can check availability and rates and make a reservation.

For now, the map shows only exteriors. In the future, Web visitors can stroll into Cinderella's Castle or walk into a room at a Disney resort. Photographers are at work to map Disneyland Resort Paris (Euro Disney); other Disney properties may be next.

Disney is just one of many traveler-friendly additions to fast-growing Google Earth in recent months.

In April, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service announced the posting of its digital map of U.S. wetlands there. The information is useful to bird-watchers and fishermen, among others, says Fish & Wildlife Service spokesman Joshua Winchell.

"It's an attempt to make the data more available to (everyday) people," he says. Google Earth "is a figurative sandbox, and anyone can jump in" and play.

Hey Penny, aren't you flying into SMF? Which flight? I'm about to book SW into SMF myself.

Hi there Monica! This is our South West flight info - but we are not leaving until Sept. 6th. We are staying on board for the 5 day!! :

Depart

Sat
1 Stop
MCO-MCI-SMF

It was to dang hot to stay at the chocolate festival. I think we last 1 1/2 hrs. The kids had fun though - doing Chocolate challenges - putting your face in a bowl of whip cream and chocolate sauce and trying to find the hershey kiss.

I'm sure Andrew's reply will be coming very shortly! :)

I wonder how many of us are staying on board for the extra five nights?

I was going to go to Disney for the week when we got back. But, running a price comparison on lodging, food, entertainment, et cetera, I decided it was cheaper (and certainly very appealing) to remain on board.

I'm hoping that I will be in the same room for the Repo as well as for the 5 day. I have asked for that but right now I am one of the many who are GTY for the repo cruise. I'm still waiting to find out my room assignment. (On the 5 day I am in 6090.)

Looking forward to both segments!

Me too! I can't wait. We did the price comparison as well. Cheaper to stay on board.

We are still GTY on the repo but have room #'s for the 5 night - I have room # 6051, my parents have 6053 and my sister has 6055. Hope those are good rooms.

Nice inside rooms located next to the midship elevators so convenient to go up and down the ship quickly, nice.:thumbsup2

Thought of you Debi..........so enjoy ! :thumbsup2 It has been biker week around here.........lot's & lot's of traffic & bikers. My neighbors took me for a ride to see some of them. They have never been on a cruise and couldn't quite understand that I need to get ready for tomorrow.:rotfl2:

Remember To Take What You Can !

Only have a few min. to Ketchup :surfweb:

I am staying at the Marriott LAX which is the alternative Hotel DCL uses. I booked on my own and it is $139 (but I get senior rate of ($119 :thumbsup2.They have a free shuttle to the Marriott and then back to the airport to catch DCL transfers the next morning!! Rumor has it that we might just be able to get the DCL bus right from the hotel. Either way it works out!!! If you book the hotel through DCL the price is about $50 more. Hope this helps!!:goodvibes :goodvibes

Thanks, we'll check out the Marriott LAX.

The monumental decision I am contemplating this weekend:

Elemis Aroma Spa Ocean Wrap with Half Body Massage

OR

Elemis Aroma Stone Therapy

Anyone done either of these and have any thoughts?? DH & I have only had the Couples Massage, but he thinks he can handle getting a massage by himself this time, so I want to try something new.

They moved it back by 11+ hours! That's insane. The didn't move your flight, they just randomly assigned you to a new one!

...off to check my Airtran return flight...

I haven't done any but I would like to ask you about the couples massage.......Did you like it? Worth the money? I would like to book that or the massage on Castaway. Can't decide............

Thanks Roger! :cool1:

I don't think it was offered on the DCL website when the WB's booked, but it was offered once they were on board?

I won't be in that queue! I'll be hiding somewhere so I don't have to get off! ;)

Hey Diane, Thanks. Now I need to try and figure out what day and maybe change it once on ship?
