How funny...I did the same thing! :rotfl:

Kim

Now we are both afraid that people think we had www.donny.com bookmarked!:scared1:

:worship: :worship:

I can fit Kevin Bacon (& me!) in there:

Daniel Craig in Golden Compass with Nicole Kidman
who was married to Tom Cruise
who was in A Few Good Men with Kevin Bacon & Keifer Southerland
who was in The Lost Boys with Christopher Bowman
who was in 3 ice shows with me!

Yes, I am 3 degrees from Kevin Bacon - aren't you glad you know me??:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

He was pretty amazing for a guy who never actually bothered to practice.

He was also the figure skater most likely to OD and die in a seedy motel room (besides Tonya Harding). So sad.

It was really sad...he died of a drug overdose in some motel..I think it was like a Budget Inn or something here in LA. I love figure skating..a few years back (can't remember which year - whenever the last Nationals were here in LA) my DH bought tickets for the 3 of us to go watch the exhibitions that the medalists did. It was so incredible..we were in the 2nd row and really enjoyed it. My family knows..when I have ice skating on..either sit down and watch or leave me alone! :)

It really was sad. He was just a guy who never had control of his life. Sure not the thing that put him over the edge, but his my was the stereotypical psycho stage/skating mom.

LA Nationals was 2002. That must have been a great show.
You are getting Worlds in 2009. Last one before 2010 Olympics, should be amazing. Get tickets if you can!

I was going to say how sad I was about Christopher Bowman's death when you first said you had skated with him . . . "Bowman the Showman" was something to see . . . Brian Boitano once said he had never seen anyone with more natural talent for skating, and of course no one threw it all away quite so spectacularly.

Small world! I moved to Rio Rancho back in 1981, graduated from Cibola in 1987 and then went to NMSU, where I met my husband. DH graduated from HS in Alamogordo and then received his bachelor's from NM Tech. Are you living in Albq/Rio Rancho right now? We're in Houston. It's not too bad, but it doesn't have mountains or good (New) Mexican food! :rotfl:

Kim

My parents are still there. I am still "in the area" if you count 2 hours away as that :)We still visit Abq all the time since that's the closest "city". I love the mountains here so that's why I live in them now :)

But those all are already our inside jokes, Dan! OMG, the shoelace . . . and Stace . . .:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: five deckchairs . . . and Sk8ingmom :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . . . the shots heard around the ship . . . Radioclash . . .:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: thanks for bringing back all those memories!:lmao: :lmao:

Sigh, I guess it's hopeless then. It is clearly my fate to hide out on the not so secret deck 7 deck, and drown my misery in a never-ending series of chocolate smoothies, as the laughter of others swirls around me - eternally the outsider, with nought by outside jokes to sustain me.:faint:

Actually, according to the guards in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, it's useless. ;) What can I say.... the Vogon's crack me up more than the Borg.

Cheers!

Sounds like we need to get Jennifer all liquored up & talk philosophically, or sci-fi-intifically(although, ssshhhh, I think she drinks flowers) :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Ok..I will give it a try...

Daniel Craig was in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider with Angelina Jolie
Angelina has children with Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer Aniston was in Along Came Polly with Philip Seymour Hoffman
Philip Seymour Hoffman was in Charlie Wilson's War with Tom Hanks
Tom Hanks did the voice of Woody for Toy Story

How's that?

:thumbsup2

Daniel Craig was Master Kane in Disney's "A Kid in King Arthur's Court" . . . but I'm sure you already knew that . . .

Well...that's only if you want to do it the easy way. :rolleyes1

My parents are still in RR. My sister graduated from the new Rio Rancho HS (well now it's like 10 yrs old LOL), went to NMSU briefly, UNM briefly, now she's doing nursing school in Abq. I am still "in the area" if you count 2 hours away as that :) I live in Los Alamos. We still visit Abq all the time since that's the closest "city". I love the mountains here. Definately great views! I live at 7500 ft.

Please tell me that at least one of you had the Wildcats as your high school mascot.

I took a left turn at Albuquerque on one of my cross country trips. I felt a little bit like Bugs Bunny.

Okay I lost some of my multi quotes.
Happy Birthday to all I've missed.
Welcome to all the newbies.
Good Night all.
Congrats to all that PIF

Interesting tidbit - I was looking for a pic of Christopher because let me tell you, it wasn't a bad thing to be a 14-year-old girl in an ice rink when 19-year-old Christopher walked in :faint: Alas, no good photos, but I just discovered that he went to the same high school as Alfonso Ribeiro. It's a professional school, so they may not have actually attended classes together, but they had to be about the same age.

Shockingly, Kate Winslet was in the same movie!:sad2:

Who was in Titanic...oh wait, lets not go there.

:thumbsup2

Not wildcats... Cibola was the cougars. I don't know what Rio Rancho High was...
