Hmmm Does that mean that it isn't being offered as in canceled, or not being offered any more as in all booked up already?

To save yourself a headache if you are considering these...

My Mom and I spent 15 minutes this morning trying to figure out the difference between these two tours (maybe I'm not as quick as I thought)..anyways..the only difference is:

20 more minutes at the fort
20 more minutes at the church
15 more minutes shopping
and... $7.00 per person

All the same stops....

The reason we checked it out is we chose Best of Cartegena..then it didnt show when I booked..so I chose Deluxe..then Best came back....so I aksed my mom what she wanted to do...hence the dissection of the excursions...

Got my confirmation of our tour ..atleast there is one excursion all of my family is booked on! (Gearing up for the 19th!)

We went outside of DCL..we are renting a car in Aruba and doing this tour. It takes you out to a sunken ship and the area to see the sea life.

Looking forward to it!

1) What do you look forward to doing on our first day at SEA?
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! I want a day with NOTHING to do . . . and that doesn't involved being attached to my laptop . . .LOL

2) What have you signed up for (or are considering) among the various DIS diversions offerred here? IE, have you considered the Secret Mickey or Mickey Ice Cream Eating race?
We've signed up for the shuttle between DL and the port. DH doesn't want to commit to anything else (although I really think he should play rugby . . .LOL)

3) Have you picked up your air fare yet? If so - when are ya coming into town?
YEAH! We finally purchased our tickets. We're coming into LAX early the morning of 8/14. We'll spend the day relaxing and see if my lil sis comes to visit from Venice Beach

4) Doing anything special or out of the ordinary for this sailing (anniversery - or ??? being marked)
Isn't the TOAL celebration enough? However, DS13 will turn to DS14 on 8/10 and DH and I are celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary on 9/26. So the TOAL is just the ticket for all these

5) What movies have you seen lately (or last) in the theater?
Ummm . . . wanted to see Horton Hears a Who, but didn't make it . . .let me check with DS11 . . .Oh, he says Alvin and the Chipmunks . . .LOL. We started watching Water Horse on video the other night, but DH fell asleep.

6) What was the last song played on your MP3 player?... orthat you recall listening to last?
Happy Day by Tim Hughes from his Holding Nothing Back album (and he's not a pirate . . .LOL)

Since Fish extenders are like mailbox extenders, There are slots for each person in your cabin (some people put each person's name on their slot). I think mine has 5 or 6 slots but we only use 1.

My 2008,passporter, ''omits' the folklore show on the 'best of''? I thought that was the main difference.

Looked at the DCL site and see what you mean, I had been reading my passporter.

NO and No, they know!

You do not need your card, cross refer your planning kit letter, what date did that show, also the letter to CC members says 'welcome back' Also check your DCL profile, it has a CC member number on it, ( or should have), can you access the CC part of DCL website, if so you are in.

At port, they know you are a CC member, and lastly, I have never been given a CC card ever by DCL, so never used it

That's why we thought it was the difference too..I have the Passporter but on the DCL excursion list it lists both. I have found a few others in the Passporter who have a slightly different version. I hope the show is offered on both - that would be sad for someone to book the Best of and be disappointed.

Mary Ann....you (and family!) are more than welcome to come with us Moms. We booked a Pool & Beach Getaway. It's with DCL, so I don't know how the booking will go, or if it will be a big crowd......it sounds like EVERYONE ELSE will be going with Mr Emerald!

Yes presume Passporter is wrong, I felt that was the reason for the difference in price.

Celestine, I know what you mean about time going by too fast and having too much to do. I still have to get another fish extender and make all of our door magnets too. I still even need to order the magnetic paper....I keep thinking there's plenty of time, and then the night before I am frantically trying to print them off. LOL DH says that aint happening this time, either prepare in advance or go without. I guess I made things harder on him.

I'm still waiting to hear from DCL about adding the other Moms onto the excursions I booked the other night. I hope I didn't overwhelm them!!
I really thought I'd hear from them today....oh well, maybe tomorrow.



I stopped at our local Enterprise office today. I'd been there before, but the manager wasn't in. This time he was there, and he's going to try his best to get me a van to drive over directly to San Pedro without the huge drop-off fee. Normally, Enterprise doesn't do "one-way" rentals. It would help us so much if we could get the van right here in my little town and then get all the way to the hotel at the port. With our other rental, we'd have to drop the van at the Orange County airport, transfer all our bags and pay Super Shuttle to take us the rest of the way. Keeping my fingers crossed that they'll be able to do something for us.

I'm so excited about finally being able to really see this trip coming.....and I have to get through the wedding and June cruise!! After that, I may become REALLY obsessive.

Are you zipping with the pirates? If so, I'd probably guess that you would not make it to the horseback riding. The excursion is showing at 6 hours. We leave port at 11:30, so the latest this excursion would start would be 5pm. Most likely it will start earlier than that so that you aren't brought back to the ship with just 30 minutes to spare.

If you're going to zip with DCL, you might be able to make it IF they offer an early morning zip. That excursion is just shy of 5 hours. I'd say you'd probably want to be back to the ship by 3pm to safely make the horseback riding. That would mean you would need a 10am or earlier zip.

You could also consider zipping with a few of us in Cabo. Paula is working on that one.

Yeah,we're with the at 1:00. I kinda figured that would be the case....just wishing.

Thanks for the info on the water taxis. Sounds like the 6 of us will pretty much fill it up. That will probably be a cheaper way to go, and better use of our time too.

Maybe if there are other interested, we could charter a small boat for an hour or two? I think we might be interested....
