Time for another round of the 7 question game...

1) What do you look forward to doing on our first day at SEA?
Sitting on the verandah, with my feet on the hassock pulled from the cabin, sipping a glass of wine:cloud9:

2) What have you signed up for (or are considering) among the various DIS diversions offerred here? IE, have you considered the Secret Mickey or Mickey Ice Cream Eating race?
So far - FE, Cabo Beach, Dinner at the port

3) Have you picked up your air fare yet? If so - when are ya coming into town?
Yes - DD & me 8/8, DH 8/16

4) Doing anything special or out of the ordinary for this sailing (anniversery - or ??? being marked)
Didn't start out this way, but am celebrating making it through this year in one piece - well, almost one piece

5) What movies have you seen lately (or last) in the theater?
Baby Mama - It was OK

6) What was the last song played on your MP3 player?... orthat you recall listening to last?
"Ants Marching" - Dave Matthews Band

7) What would you propose for the 7th question here? And if you spot someone elses' reply on this - try answering it! IE, you answer the last person's reply here - and YOU put down a 7th question of your own. Please be diplomatic - and feel free to skip backwards to another persons' 7th question if you like that one more!

My Question: Besides Disney, what is your dream vacation - spare no expense?

7) (from Theresa)If you could be one Disney Character, who would you choose to be?
Definately Ariel - I think that girl has got it going on :goodvibes

Hi Mom!

These are for you!

SHE'S EVIL!!!

Did I say something back there about her being one of my best friends?? I take it back!!

Pay no attention to the woman behind the curtain. Or grannie panties as the case may be.

She's trying to :stir:

That gives me a little hope. Thanks so much Desiree, you have been so helpful! :goodvibes There was a perfect pirates fish extender on ebay and now its gone...drats! Celestine, I know what you mean about time going by too fast and having too much to do. I still have to get another fish extender and make all of our door magnets too. I still even need to order the magnetic paper....I keep thinking there's plenty of time, and then the night before I am frantically trying to print them off. LOL DH says that aint happening this time, either prepare in advance or go without. I guess I made things harder on him. :lmao:
I have that to do and make our costumes yet!!!

Is that dirty laundry? Looks pretty clean to me, you must be proud to have such a virtuous Mom!

Thank you. And yes, she's trying to air some dirty family laundry. She thinks she'll get my goat.

This is my goat and she can't have it!

This is our first cruise as CC members, so I was wondering if we will need our CC#'s handy when we book Palo and excursions on 5/19. Also, do you need the cards when checking in at the terminal? TIA!

Deanna....

Didn't anyone tell you yet? You have to have it tattooed in order to get ANY preferential treatment when embarked. Alternatively, you'll need to carry a small photo album of your past cruises to show in substitution of the tattoo.

Todays Woot ($25), in honor of the day is a blender and some recipes:

¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo! If this holiday means one thing, it means margaritas – the kind you could be enjoying right this very second if you owned a Hamilton Beach Ensemble 54243 14-Speed Blender. That’s the blender that helped General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín rout the French invaders at the Battle of Puebla in 1862.

Oh, really? It wasn’t? What, were you there?

Didn’t think so. Anyway, if you’re at a loss for a reason to stir, aerate, puree, crumb, chop, or mix next May 5th, clip and save this handy collection of some of our very favorite margarita recipes! Woot, Inc. and its subsidiaries are not responsible for intoxication, nausea, vomiting, heart failure, depression, or suicidal thoughts resulting from consuming any of the following beverages. ¡Salud!

The Grownup: pour 1-1/2 oz. tequila, 1/2 oz. triple sec, 1 oz. lime juice, and ice into Hamilton Beach Ensemble 54243 14-Speed Blender. Chop until slushy. Then dump that glorified Slurpee into the toilet and drink something befitting an adult, like a single-malt Scotch or a good oatmeal stout.

Margarita del Mar: pour 1-1/2 oz. tequila, 1/2 oz. triple sec, 1 oz. lime juice, and ice into Hamilton Beach Ensemble 54243 14-Speed Blender. Chop until slushy. Add 4 oz. bluefin tuna and three jumbo shrimp. Puree until smooth. Eat with spoon while wearing a bib with a lobster on it.

El Canseco: pour 1-1/2 oz. tequila, 1/2 oz. triple sec, 1 oz. lime juice, and ice into Hamilton Beach Ensemble 54243 14-Speed Blender. Chop until slushy. Add steroids. Serve in syringe. Consume until head bulges to Elmer Fudd-like proportions and testicles shrink to the size of Reese’s Pieces.

La Spinsterita: pour 1-1/2 oz. tequila, 1/2 oz. triple sec, 1 oz. lime juice, and ice into Hamilton Beach Ensemble 54243 14-Speed Blender. Chop until slushy. Weep inconsolably, deep into the night. Serves one.

The Winehousarita: pour 1-1/2 oz. tequila, 1/2 oz. triple sec, 1 oz. lime juice, and ice into Hamilton Beach Ensemble 54243 14-Speed Blender. Chop until slushy. Drink immediately, in one gulp if possible. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

And, yes, I -do- know how to spell scandalized . . . I just never learned how to be scandalized! :rotfl2:

Who wants to help me scheme to get even with her on her wedding day?

Hey LaTanya!

Are you and Tyreak going to Universal Orlando after the cruise? I don't know the answer to your question, but if you can't use your Universal Hollywood passes there, they have a good deal going on right now.

I think it's something like $80 for a park hopper that's good for up to a week.

We're spending 2 nights at the Royal Pacific after the TOAL, so we'll get into the parks on 3 days with them.

You may want to post your question over on the Universal section of the DIS. The peeps over there really know their USO stuff.:thumbsup2

I heard Pete on the dis Pod cast they sell the tickets at DreamsUnlimited. Maybe check it out.

Good Morning :surfweb:

All the pitcures of the First Communion's were lovely - thanks for sharing.

I didn't realize there was a DIS tour group for Catagena being planned - I just thought someone was looking for his info - oops. I wasn't even going to get off the ship, but then I was reading how highly recommended he comes so I am going to go for it. DH doesn't want to do a "big" group thing so I guess I can't play with you all :sad1: BTW, the walking tour with Cristian Martinez gets pretty bad reviews on Cruisecritic. Seems he was a no-show for a couple of people.

We want to do the tour with Mr Emerald as well. With DHs limited mobility, hopefully we can get a group with not so much walking. Or he can sit in the van!!!!!

Roger originally posted this over on the Pirate Zone planning boards on this thread:

Does anyone know how about how many people the water taxi holds? I figure if we have enough interest to fill a water taxi and everyone onboard wanted to swing out past Los Arcos and Sea Lion rock, and then head over to the beach, the taxi pilot(?) would probably be happy to do it. And we can get our photo-op without wasting a big chunk of time right in the middle of the day doing the DCL excursion.
sounds like a plan.

Hi Everyone!

Sorry I've been missing again :rolleyes1

We survived the week of the huge birthday party! :dance3:

Darrah's 9th birthday was on May 1st (we went out to dinner for a small family celebration), I chaperoned a class field trip on the 2nd and then the insane birthday party was on the 3rd. I spent the last week or so cleaning the house and getting stuff ready for the party. (oh yeah - and working! :rotfl2: )

Up until the party started, we were expecting around 20 kids (why, why, why do so many parents not RSVP? - 7 kids told DS they were definitely coming, but their parents never called). The weather did NOT cooperate and it was around 50 degrees and drizzly at the start of the party. The rain did let up fairly soon and the kids didn't seem to notice the cold. We ended up with only 11 kids (3 that HAD RSVP'd didn't show and 6 of the kids that were "definitely coming" didn't show!)

It was a Pirate themed party - I'll post some pics later after I catch up. DS had the coolest cake!

I did hop online early last week planning to do a quick "ketchup", but when I found out the Bawb from the podcast had suddenly passed away, I ended up spending some time over on that board instead. :sad1:

Pamela

My daughter had her last birthday party for her kids. Noone responds. Rude.

Tour of LA

I seem to remember many threads back talk of organising a DIS city seeing trip around LA. Has anything more come of this ?- I can't even remember who volunteered to take this on!

TIA

Celestine

I think Diane was looking into that.

Hi Mom!

These are for you!

Ok..I must have missed what those are for (I mean..I know what they are for..just why they were posted!) ..but made me immediately think of my favorite saying... "pull up your big girl panties and deal with it!" :rotfl2:

My daughter is just trying to sneak in an embarrassing story. Ignore her, and she'll go away.
But the part about "pull up your big girl panties" made me laugh. We said that to middle DD and she thought we were calling her fat. :rotfl: :rotfl:

There's a lot of interest in a group Mr. Emerald city & shopping tour. Paula is working with him to put something together. Check out the planning board.

Sorry to hear about your aunt.:grouphug:
