Does anyone know what referrals is as I have one.

Good boy/Bad boy? Commission referral? Bit loopy referral to Doctor???

And who exactly are the "dining partners" they are so feverishly working with? KFC? BK? Chart House?

McDonalds?

I just want you to know that you ARE on their list as confirmed by the following note:

I thought that was a friendly enough note to me . . . but it's sure bad to be you! :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Great pictures, by the way, Mike.:thumbsup2

PIF!!!

I guess that means we will really have to go, now.

Is it August yet?

That's the referral -- from everyone on the Dis -- to a psychiatrist from a while back -- haven't you gone yet?

Aaaah that one, ok I can go to bed now happy! I thought it was my xxxxx Posts!

I went to a psychiatrist once, I said to him I thought I was a fly, he said what do you want me to do about it, I said nothing,

So why come in here then? he asked.

I said the light was on.

Night.

Southwest already changed from 3 to 2.....

There will be 6 of us flying on SW. We'll be lucky if we can handle 6 bags, let alone 12. Of course, we'll also be lugging along a stroller, a carseat, and a booster seat. Add to that a carry-on bag for each of the 3 older kids, the camera bag, the laptop... I am really dreading the luggage for this trip! :scared1:

Thanks:goodvibes
It was pretty weird watching all the reports on the tv and realizing all that damage was in Virginia. We don't get that many tornados.
I'm drawing a blank on her name right now, but I do know there is one of our TOAL crew that is in southern Virginia. Hopefully she and her family are fine.

maseifert or something like that i think.... or was it someone else?

That's it, or pretty close.
She's a school teacher in SE Virginia, I think.

Hopefully she'll come on and let us know how she's doing.

We are all okay here - Thanks for thinking of us. There were some tornados VERY close to us but we are okay.

I had a wonderful weekend ALL Alone in my house this past weekend, kids and DH went camping and I had a wonderful weekend. Sunday night I started feeling not so good. By Monday evening I knew I had strep throat so off to the doc to get antibiotics. I have slept now for 2 days, today I feel a little better but my throat is still super sore even 48 hours after antibiotics. I guess one of my little snot nosed monsters at school gave it to me.

I have to admit I HAVE been lurking a bit - I just have not been up to posting.

Congrats to those who are PIF - its a great feeling!

Monica, so happy you are still sailing with us.

I still want to help with a journal page so I am going to head to the piratezone and see whats left to do.

As far as the Quest vs stack for teenagers - I think DCL will make sure there are appropriate activities for our kids. DS Alex will turn 13 on August 14 so he will JUST be 13 when we cruise.

Good luck to those who are making excursion ressies this weekend. If you can tell us what the departure times are for some of the excursions that would be great!

Probably won't be around much the next few days. DD is doing first communion saturday morning, then her and I are headed to VA Beach Aquarium for a girl scout overnight - we get to sleep with the fishes!

DS and DH are going to G-Force go karts to meet Casey Mears #5 Kellogs driver tomorrow night and DS will go to the Nascar race here in Richmond on Saturday night with our neighbor!

BUSY weekends!

I found this on another board -- I am pretty sure this is the place most of us are ziplining in Puerto Vallarta:

MONKEYS!!!!
Why, it is was one of the highlights of our entire cruise, just 2 weeks ago!
Yes, in Puerto Vallarta...at the end of our zipline excursion with Los Veranos...they had a couple of large walk-in cages full of monkeys...never saw any animal cuter in my life...alot of those were miniature monkeys (forgot what they're called) small enough to sit in the palm of your hand. The girl in charge there asked if we wanted to go in the cages with the monkeys, so yes, of course, my husband, 18-yr-old son, and myself were each given a bamboo container filled with (monkey food?) and were shut in the large cage. It was just us...they allow only 2-3 people in there at a time. So immediately upon entering, those monkeys were all over us...sitting on our shoulders and arms and feeding directly out of our hands. We must have taken 20-30 pictures just in there! Before we went in, the girl had us empty our pockets outside of the cage and we found out why...my husband accidently left his ship sea pass card in one of his velcroed shut pockets...well when we ran out of the food we took in there, obviously it wasn't enough for the monkeys, so one monkey opened my husband's pants pocket, reached in with his cute little monkey paw, and, before my husband had a chance to react, this particular monkey had the sea pass in his paw, brought it up to his cute little monkey lips to see if it was edible, and flung it across the cage when he discovered he couldn't eat it! Lots of fun!
This was a first for us....never before this have we had an opportunity to interact in this way with monkeys!
Definitely look into this one!

Crash........I paid over $6000 to take my trip to Hawaii for just the two of us for rooms and car rental for 14 nights.  My rooms ran over $400 a night at the Hyatts and Hiltons and all were not ocean view.:sad2: I used frequent flyer miles but I had to pay for all my meals which were not cheap!!!!:headache: I consider this TOAL at $7300 a real bargain and I have an ocean view all the time!!!:cheer2: :yay: :cheer2:

Cheryl, Cheryl, Cheryl....

.... I wuz trying to be diplomatic about this. Now ... how can I compare vacationing on the cheap with this? Disney is about $400+ a bit per nite. And when I fly to Hawaii we stay for ZERO cost with family and get most of our meals from our relatives' fridge. FOr wheels I borrow whatever is not being driven at the time ... that is... except for my SILs' Ferrari or Porsche. AND, otherwise we DO rent a car a lot of the time. SO... my cot for a 15 nite stay in Oahu or Maui runs AIR FARE + rental car, and about 1/3rd or less of the meals eaten out.... and 1/3rd of the meals we contribute with groceries. This works out to maybe $600 for air ... (2400)... and maybe $250 for a car since we only rent half the time we're there typically... and probably we spend under $500-700 for meals. Add incidentials of maybe another $500 and we're mostly covered. SO, we get by with a budget of about 3650-3850. And of course, we could easily add another $3000 for a $200 a nite hotel. And lets hope entertainment does not go anywhere beyond watching cable TV or the free Hula shows on the Wikiki sand... which sometimes features relatives doing the dancing.

So.... our kind of trips can run anywhere from $3650 up to $6850.... so YEAH, it looks tolerable to Sail Disney for what it generally costs us. And to think... we all get Soooooooooo much for our money too!

So Shuuuuuu.... no one tell the DCL folks that we're OK with the cost. Better we start posting moans and groans about the onerous expense involved.... and the burdon associated with heavy dieting which follows EVERY voyage.

Here I go getting serious but I thought I would share since I consider you my friends.:goodvibes ;)

Thank you, my Friend!:thumbsup2

Apparently I'm on the "troublemaker" list with DCL, I should't e-mail anymore, just check the website. Anyone know if the website shows theme nights, etc. once they are decided?

I think I'll send another e-mail tonight. Can't let you hog all of the "trouble maker" status.

Thanks for posting this. I'm even more excited! I have a thing for the pygmy marmosets at the Philly zoo.

These are "Squirrel Monkeys" I had one when I was 7.

Don't bother, I e-mailed back to DCL to ask where on the website I could find the info and got the truth, whole truth and nothing but the truth:

4/30/08

Dear Thomas,

It is so good to hear from you again!

It is my pleasure to assist you with the dining information on the Disney Cruise Line website.

Go to www.disneycruise.com>My Disney Cruise>Onboard>Dining.

I apologize the actual dining rotations are not listed on the website just the different dining venues.

We are unable to provide you with your dining schedule as it is finalized by the day of sailing. You will find your dining tickets with your seating times, table assignment, and rotation schedule in your stateroom on embarkation day.

And it was unsigned!
