evening all..

back for SAP Sapphire.. now to work and make up the fact I was gone for a few days... gonna ketchup..

BTW is anyone staying at the port on Sat night? I am thinking that maybe the best for us

Yay!!!! :cheer2: Lots of us. We still gotta work on Cheryl now.
We are planning on getting together at Ports O" Call Village restaurant for dinner.

Okay..I have written my speech for tomorrow night's Girl Scout Awards ceremony (Public Speaking makes me so nervous!) :scared:

Now I just have to hope I didn't forget anyone and that I pronounce everyone's name right!:scared1:

You'll die when you hear BOTH stories. I know I wanted to. :faint:

I'll tell you my embarassing story....24dd (21 at the time) convinced me that I needed a size *L* for a type of underwear I wanted at VS. I tried to tell her that even though she thought I was big that a woman that wears a size 6 can not wear a *L*. She convinced me that with that style, fabric, ya da ya da.

A few days later I am walking out of CVS and I feel my undies *fall* fast. I nearly always wear skirts........ I called her... I think she snorted she was laughing so hard.....

OMG!! :rotfl2: :grouphug:

Cartegena - Hopefully a tour with our Pirate group and mr. Emerald. I really want to see the old walled city. If that doesn't work out, we'll take a DCL tour but it worries me that will be 90% shopping - I've always avoided the cruise line "city tour" type thing. We usually do stuff on our own, but DH isn't comfortable with that in Columbia (and the in-laws think we should stay on the ship!).

Just an FYI. Every *city tour* I did with DCL on our 10nt Southern (and I did them in 3 ports...I think) had a total of about 20 mins of shopping! Yes, all 3 added together!
I had brought money and then had no where to spend it! LOL! I ONLY shop when I travel! LOL!

Congratulations! Dh and his brother played on the travel team -- every other year together, they are 11 months apart in age.

They didn't have hockey here when 28ds was growing up. :sad2: He tried to convince us to move to Canada for him to play when he was a teenager! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks. DSs are only 21 months apart, but more than 2 years 'hockey age'. They won't be on the same team until high school, if they are still playing.

My kids would move to Canada in a second!

Dolly was FABULOUS!!! My friend and I had so much fun at the show!

she had a comment about plastic surgery..."My husband doesn't have to cheat...he says he gets a new wife every 6 months!"

She was full of interesting comments!

Chrissie
(Is it time to go yet??? )

I love Dolly Parton. Who could not love someone who makes fun of themselves. :lmao:

Not sure what exactly they dislike but one nice thing I like about Dream Dinners is that sometimes there is an ingrediant that DD or I won't eat..if it is not required for the recipe..I just leave it out when I prep the meal. Both DD and I dislike mustard so a lot of the marinades call for mustard - we just leave it out.

I do that all the time -- I hate green peppers & mustard........

Thank you for posting that! I looked at the website. There is one in Ft Worth (and one near Coral in Frisco!). I emailed the FW location to ask about one of their classes.

I am not sure it is is the same company but there was some kid cooking thing in Carrollton. I thought about it for the girls.

10ds would LOVE to try it out! 6dd thinks she would love it..... but, the classes are 1 1/2 hr long..... We don't call her *short attention span theater* for nothing! :rotfl2:

We are working on teaching the girls a few more life skills. This weekend I am going to show them the fne art of laundry. :rotfl2:
I tried to teach them to cook and it turned into "This is how you use the microwave.":lmao:

I have really slacked in the *life skills* teaching with the 3 still at home... My older 2 could clean, cook, do laundry, etc.... In fact when they thought I was in a bad mood the oldest would do all the laundry and his sister would clean the house!

17dd doesn't even understand *pick up the family room* I guess that's what happens to youngest children (her big brother & sister di everything!)

Definitely... I'm cooking one of the dinners right now..it's a chicken breast in a garlic - citrus - honey marinade. The citrus was an orange marmalade (Sp?)

Nice thing is..it's been sitting in the marinade and now I am just broiling it and serving it with some steamed veggies..makes it look like I had a clue! :rotfl:

Just swinging by to say hello...

Things just loping along here....

Gee...and here i thought only my mother was crazy enough to teach us our "colors" at an early age (whites, darks, and reds...:lmao: )

My Mom is the absolute queen of laundry! The woman can get a stain out of anything. I just try to cram as much in my front- loader as possible and hope for the best. :lmao:
My major irritation is if a piece of clothing for 5 mins the girls throw it in the dirty clothes hamper. :sad2: What do they care- perfect clothes end up back in their closet.

I thought about all our TX folks when I saw that's where they are based.

Isn't SAP Sapphire just a boondoggle? Plenty of time for the DIS....
