Ok..I have to get my act together..off to plan the rest of tonight's Girl Scout meeting. We are meeting at a park and all of a sudden..it has become quite windy here.

Well - I'm sure not thinking clearly - besided Stacey - I'm also going on the Mexican Riviera cruise - I'm going 6/29 - 7/6. So ---- I can personally check out boat rentals -or whatever in Cabo.

My DH left early this morning for a business trip out of state and my DS16 missed the bus because DD14 put away all the shoes yesterday and he couldn't find his... . But, because DH is gone, I couldn't leave DD3 and DD10 here alone. So, we didn't know what to doooo, until...well....

That sounds like something that would happen to us! Me to dh *Well, did you look in ____?*

So it looks like my honey doo repair chores have left me in a certain condition...

... how does the expression go....

The spigot with the broken handle has no threads or bolt pattern to fit the handles I bought - and the screw on top is weathered away to the point where it has no surface area left to simply turn! I'd have to use a plier to grip and twist - except it has no shape to the bottom! I need a star or square shaped pattern and there is NONE!

As for the laundry room - that is another animal of a different stripe. It does not match up to anything they currently have and the handle which broke off. It is not a simple matter of the HANDLE breaking... it seems my spouse broke the SHAFT of the valve off. SO ... no point in replacing the handle. Now I have to replace the whole thing - which requires dissassembling the whole thing. And it is so old it is probably fused / frozen together as a quasi-solid unit.

Working on either one of these things will require shutting off the water main to the house. I should also hope to complete the job before the family gets home or there will be no running water for us. So - that means I'm soaking the fittings in WD-40 over nite and embarking on this first thing in the morning with all my tools organized and ready to tackle this thing. Now where exactly did I leave that basin valve wrench again?

I have a couple of those "OMG this wafer taste like glue" shots from DD's FC. I can't believe it's been 7 yrs since hers.... The kids in our congregation do theirs at regular mass times (yesterday) and seemed so young.... One girl was barely even 3 feet tall... (an itty bitty)

That will be my dd next Spring!

My words of advice to the kids just before Mass...chew. I remember the Host getting stuck to the roof of my mouth. And I was 12! (Episcopal church - we had first communion and confirmation at the same time)

LOL! I tell the kids to get lots of spit in their mouth.

everyone - the rooms are a mess, the dog has complications from her tooth surgery, I have not packed one iota, and I'm fit to be tied. But other than that - I'm good to go! NOT! Oh well, one thing is for sure, if I don't pack tomorrow - this carcass is getting on that plane to FL w/o clothes. What the heck, I can just buy some over there right?

Just checking in - have missed the last 100 pages or so but you all knew that right? OK - just had to check in as my brain was going Wonder if I can pack tonight?

I have decided that I will start a new blog and as soon as I do - I will post on here JUST IN CASE anyone is interested. OK all - off I go to attempt packing.

Good luck, Laura. You'll make and you're right - nothing a credit card can't fix (well mostly). Just don't forgot the passport, tickets, camera and the credit card and you are good to go.

Would love a blog but we'll settle for a full blown trip report on your return.

Since Fish extenders are like mailbox extenders, There are slots for each person in your cabin (some people put each person's name on their slot). I think mine has 5 or 6 slots but we only use 1.

Is this Tom and Lynn? Hi - its Laura - the Med lady with the huskies too - are you guys on this one? How are the furr kids? Mine just busted a tooth which had to have emergency extraction - now on to be watched for several weeks. I hope it holds until I get back.

Anyway, as you can all tell, I am a major procrastinator. I think I have this idea that if I'm not packed - it would be cheaper in that I only have to take one suitcase and then I can buy the other stuff I need in one major shopping spree! Shopping!

My vote is for after the TOAL, and colder weather here is my choice. Of course that's all we have had so far.

Hi Dan - I'm multi-tasking - can you tell, I am getting my door magnets laminated at Staples while we speak - blush: ok - so I sent my human girls to get it done but I burned the disk for it )

I will start it tonight but nobody think me too crazy as I tend to literally go a bit until I set foot on the plane - remember the of boarding for the overseas flight? I think the girls and DH wanted to kill me. Looking back over my notes - I even get on my nerves. But you can all look at this as a dress rehearsal. Truth be told, I am not good at trip reports - I always lose the place to go. Do the mods on here join all the trip reports together? Guess I'd better over there to check out if anyone started one already - that is why I just go to my blog. OH! girls are here - maybe she can start me on one! I promise here today that I will finish this one no matter what. I now know that I can type it into my laptop and post later.
