:cheer2: :cheer2: Congrats M!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Thanks everyone!

Do you think they are stymied by what to schedule? I think Tom should put together a schedule and email it to them. "Dear DCL we as a group have determined our own events calendar for the August Repo. :lmao: Please review and distribute to all passengers.
Thank You
Your Patrons spending the big $$$s to go on this TOAL
(Actually I hope they are working on some really big surprises for us in which case I will be patient until say May 15th) "

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
I love it! Of course we are all way more obsessed with this cruise than they are.

M it is now referred to as Reactive Airway Disease, which is becoming wide spread amongst children. Not Asthma but acts the same way under the right conditions. DD13 has it.

I couldn't remember the name. This is big for us - DS7 made it through the winter without a chest x-ray! Docs usually hear him cough and check for pneumonia. Turns out the annoying hacking cough my mom had all her life was the same thing. She was diagnosed at 48!

Welcome to the world of obscure publication! You can find me on such topics as Public Health Law for Terrorist Events and what the National Response Framework means to local attorneys. If anyone other than me has actually read those....

I also had an undergrad paper on the end of WWI through the rise of Hitler from a mass communication theory framework published in a rinky-dink journal a million years ago.

Is anyone asleep yet???? :faint:

Tonight had to go to London to see Doctor for DD, and her ear issue is back again,

I hope it is an easy fix for DD this time.

M, I think you are right, that's what Adam was told. He said they told him it would be fine to get allergy shots, but no inhalers. He is just determined to try.

At least if he tries, he'll know for sure. I hope he gets what he wants.

Why don't we setup something up on the "Pirate Zone" boards. Isn't it better that way. Couple of PRO's - the kids only have an id for our group board only - not the DIS, we could have separate age groups - would make it easier for the younger ones, plus we won't have to worry so much about what the older teens are talking about. Thoughts????

I really liked that idea. Much easier to sign up for.

Evening,,

What is it with Thursdays?

Two back someone set fire to my place of work,

One back stuck around the other end of London on the M25,

Tonight had to go to London to see Doctor for DD, and her ear issue is back again,

Ah well,,,,,

I am taking next Thursday off,

Thanks for Pirate newsletter,

So those deck party dates confirmed?????

So sorry to hear about your DD, Andrew. Hopefully it will repair itself.

I had the funniest experience today.
I had to go to the office and I ran into a very good friend whom I used to work with very closely. He said to me "I was talking about you last night". He said "Did you know that there was a 15 day Disney cruise that goes through the Panama Canal? A good friend of mine is going to be on the cruise" I said "Not only do I know about it- I am on it!" He rolled his eyes and said "I should have known you would be on that cruise. :cool1:
Turns out his friend is on the West bound. I asked him to find out if he was on the DIS.
Now my reputation as the office Disney nut is firmly intact. :)

Nothing wrong with being one of those "clingy" moms.:goodvibes We all know children have to leave the nest but we don'n have to like it!!!

I don't blame you for not wanting him to go half way around the world. But it is better that he try and that he do it on his own without you trying to stop him, this way he won't wonder 10 years from now about "what could of been".

How true both of these posts are. I sure would hate for him to resent me later on for "holding" him back.:upsidedow

So here is something…
I just got off the phone and I’m going to be published.

OK, in a book only media nerds and coerced undergrads are likely to read, but I’m going to be published! In grad school, I wrote and independent study (our term: co-dependent study) paper with a classmate about patriotism and consumerism post 9/11. Nifty things like flag-waving ads by companies that were off-shoring jobs, etc. ANYWAY, it was just accepted as a chapter in an anthology about pop culture and 9/11. YAY!
Congrats M:yay: :yay:

We will keep her in our prayers --- scarring on my ear drum is the reason why I get motion sick easily. Mine burst when I was about 12.
My Dh also:sad2: Andrew, hope everything works out for your DD:flower3:

Debi, I honestly hope that it excludes Adam. He has only been hospitalized once with a severe attack, but he uses a preventive inhaler (Advair) and an albuterol inhaler on an as needed basis. He has been trying to lose some weight and has taken up running and he has been having quite a bit of trouble wheezing. I guess I am just one of those "clingy" moms--he is my only child and I don't want him half way around the world. But I won't try to stand in his way, I do want him to be happy.

My DS also has this:rolleyes: We've been to the ER 3 times, but only in NY:sad2: He's allergic to some kind of mold in NY:confused:

Too funny....I was talking to my boss and a co-worker this week and he was asking me when my cruise was this summer. He had forgotten that we were going through the Panama canal. He said so you're going to start in LA, visit Disneyland and cruise for 15 nights and end up in Florida. He asked if I was going to DisneyWorld. When I told him not this time, he said, "Whew...for a minute there we thought you were a Disney fanatic".

You cannot have food or liquid in the box that you ship. DCL also says no liquid in your checked bag. So you can still bring on alcohol, but you have to carry it on. Might have to enlists the kid's backpacks to carry on enough for TOAL. :rotfl:

so i can't have the winery ship a case to the ship?? HMMMM. Since I am not bringing my kids and it is only DH and I, can i borrow a large number of kids to carry my wine???:rotfl2:

Congrats M

sorry about your day andrew..

He is just determined to try. [/COLOR]

My Dsis has never had asthma but during boot camp in San Antonio she developed exercise induced asthma. (similar to wheezing you describe.)

Hope it gets better...

So who was watching TV this morning.

My back has been killling me..

We went to the Celebration all you can eat pie event two years ago. The kids LOVED it and ate LOTS of pie. Lisa's Gymnastic Regionals were on this weekend the past two years. We head to Huntsville AL on Saturday for her meet Sunday morning. This meet determines which Level 10 girls can advance on to Nationals in May. Please say prayers and pixie dust for her on Sunday at 8am that she competes at the level she is capable of.

Best of luck!!!!

What a thrill.

It became painful in the last day or so after a long cold for 3 weeks, then fluid came out. She is now on ear drops, the main rule is No swimming, no pool, no getting it wet, everything else is ok, Plane travel, listen to music,.

Heal cross fingers on this medication it could occur within three weeks, but also could take a year, or not at all.

I remember as a kid the terrible ear aches I had.And the warm drops they would put in all the time. It was finalized with having my tonsils out at that time. Seems they were causing me to lose my hearing. I hope DDs meds do the trick.

Here is today's response to my request on special dining nights.

Yes Angela this information is very useful :confused3 I have no idea when to make my Palo plans. Anyway, I guess that I will email her on a daily basis.

Imagine if everyone did this daily?????

Hey folks, our "ticket lady" is here today. Our company gets discounts on various attractions in CA. I grabbed a few prices that some of you may be interested in.

I can order as many tickets with no limit. And they can be ordered any time, not just today because she's here. If anyone would like some tickets, PM me and we can work something out.

Disneyland
2 Day Hopper – A=$128.50 / C=$109 - Disney price A=$132 / C=$112
3 Day Hopper – A=$160 / C=$130 (includes 1 Magic Morning) – Disney price A=$169 / C=$139 (advanced purchase price)
4 Day Hopper – A=$157 / C=$145 (includes 1 Magic Morning) – Disney price A=$184 / C=$154 (advanced purchase price)

San Diego Zoo or Wild Animal Park
A=$31 / C=$23 – SD Zoo price A=$34 / C=$24
Can also get SeaWorld discount tickets but I didn’t ask the price of those. If anyone is interested, I’ll check.

Universal Studios

Admission and Front of Line pass $104 – Universal price $109 (advanced purchase price)
I asked about VIP Experience and she's going to check

Legoland
Admission $45 (both A&C) – Legoland price A=$59.95 / C=$49.95

Magic Mountain
2 for 1 General Admission coupon – Six Flags price A=$59.99 / C=$29.99 (if under 48”) (gate prices) – Advanced purchase price is A=$39.99 – no discount on child price

Hi Monica! That's awesome that you get a discount. I work for the Disney Store and don't get a discount on DL tickets. I need 5 day passes so I can't take you up on your offer, but that's a really nice thing to do. You may want to double check your price list, it looks like you have the 4 day pass cheaper than the 3 day pass.

Sending prayers for a speedy recovery and best wishes to Alice.

Sure, you can borrow my 3, just be sure to return them on Aug 31.:lmao:

Thanks. I fixed it. Looks like I transposed the 5 and 7. The 4 day price is $175.

I'm checking to see if we can get 5 day hoppers. I just posted the prices that were listed on the sign, so there may be more options that I don't know about. I'll let you know if I can get them.
