hi everyone :wave2:

Not MIA just at CA and GC sinceFriday. DD birthday was a smash and much better than a quinceneria. Was having breakfast at La Brea Bakery 1/2 hr ago on the patio and guess who comes racing (and I do mean flying) by but our own captcrash. I took off like a bat out of heck and caught up to him only to find out it was his birthday. Only 1 day after dd's. Managed tosneak in 1 picture before he had to fly and will post it later.

:rotfl: :rotfl: I did scare Tom when I came running up to him of not unlike the scare I put into Andrew ontop the Leaning Tower last Aug. Come to think of it maybe that is my forte scaring the heevy jeebies out of people. :rotfl:

Anyway more later posting from my iPhone so this post took a while will be on later to post picture of tom and his girl. And me too BTW, I did brush my hair but its a bit windy and cool now.

By for now :wave2:

:cheer2: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CRASH !:cheer2: :bday:

I guess I was "caught" by Laura as I was jogging with my double stroller an' kids. I had sprinted on ahead as we were meeting an old friend of mine in the park to mark my birthday sunday. I must say I was very surprised initialy... then very happy to meet Laura for the brief chat in person. We were right in front of the security check point where they check your bags and I watched my kids as they wandered about near by = and we waited a bit for Alicia to catch up - only to find that Alicia had already passed us and was about to go into DL. So - I sort of had to wander off to meet up with Alicia to in turn meet up with our friends inside the park.

At any rate, I wanted to say thank you to everyone for your kind birthday thoughts. Alicia brought home a cake on Friday (early) where we sang and blew out candles ... and today was very busy at DL. We only rode a few attractions, saw the Alladin show, caught a couple parades, and spent a good bit of time just sitting, talking and dining really. So it was sort of a low key visit in some ways. I'll post a few pix later on - as it's prety late and I'm beat from the day.

And may I offer birthday wishes an' a slice of cake to APRIL - as it seems we share the same birthdate!!

This is why we fly Southwest. If prices go down, we can rebook at the lower price and use the excess for a future flight. We watch the daily "ding" to see if those prices fall and rebook immediately. You have up to 12 months to book a flight with the credit. For us, that's no problem as we're heading to WDW at least annually (well except this year but we are at least stopping at DTD before flying back). Plus, they allow two bags to be checked (at least for now). I think I'll be printing off their policy tonight!

I would love if Southwest flew out of richmond but they closest I can get to them is Norfolk - sometimes the drive is worth it but this time getting home late and then having to drive 2 hours to home ........ not so much worth it.

...19 Mondays...

I had a great weekend. Photo of the ugliest bridesmaid dress ever is coming soon. I roamed back a few pages to ketchup.

Getting upset here! Been trying for a couple of days to access my DCL Reservation and I can't get past the Sign In page. The one where it says enter Res.# and Birthdate, keeps sending me back to it over and over again!!!:headache:

Look at it as practice for May 19.

Hi. I see that you and a few others on here (Joel & Deanna) are from Ohio. I am an Ohio native myself, born in Cleveland. Both of my parents grew up in Euclid, and I actually have an aunt and uncle living in Mentor. I also have aunts in Madison and Dublin (near Columbus). I lived in the Cleveland area until I was in the 7th grade...that's when we moved to New Mexico. Talk about a change of scenery!

Kim

Count me in as a fellow Ohio native. Grew up in West Salem Ohio. Worked at Rubbermaid Inc in Wooster Ohio for years. Met DH and moved away about13 years ago. Its nice to visit but i really don't miss the snow in the winter. We do visit occasionally to see my parents and sister and brother.

DH & I grew up in North Olmsted.

That's helpful...

I particularly like how adept DCL is at restating your question in their answer without providing an answer.
Must be lawyers or future politicians :lmao:

That was my first thought too Roger.

Actually bonus points M, my real name is Laura. My family and friends call me Laurie though (except for my Aunt and Uncle-they still call me Laura). When I sign up for anything DCL I have to put Laura down. I've gotten use to answering to both so no big deal. As far as the tiaras, Darren was making fun of me (his favorite passtime:rolleyes:) and chances are he will have plenty of sarcastic comments come August so even if folks forget, he'll remind you:rolleyes1 I will make a point of thanking your DH , for the tall ships in front of your kids though, hopefully I can keep a straight face and not ruin it:guilty: May work better if I have my kids or Dh do it;) [/COLOR]

Have a great Monday

Hey . . how do you manage to keep up with their baseball laundry. We have one weekend this season where DS11 has a game Friday, Saturday, and Monday! Makes pitching interesting, but a clean uniform is a toughy.

Have a super day!

Not much you can do about the shirt, but we always end up buying extra pants at Dicks or Sports Authority.

I foresee late night laundry in your future!

Who was collecting names for the Doubletree to see about a group rate?

It was definitely Stacey (JustmeStace).

How muck is it to get to Double Tree from LAX????:confused3 :confused3

DH said we might consider!!:thumbsup2

There is a Super Shuttle, PrimeTime Shuttle (sp?) and Stacey recommends Pronto Limousine.
I know how much it is for 6 of us but not sure for 2.
Would Love to have you with us meeting for dinner Sat night in SP!

Hi Kim! We live north of Columbus, very close to Dublin. My sister lives in Dublin and we are about a 15 min. drive apart.

You certainly did have a drastic change in scenery and humidity!

Good Morning everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend.

Hope you had a great birthday Crash! What better place to spend it than at DL.

I had a busy one. I had surprise 40th birthday party for my husband. It was tough keeping it a secret. He actually found a blank invitation and I had to tell him that the party was on Sunday and not Saturday so I actually got to do some planning without him being suspicious.... whew - glad it's over with.

I think we are going with Prime Time shuttle. We will be going from LAX directly to the port, they will make a grocery stop for $10 more.

I think we shared Wooster stories before, but I do a lot of work with OARDC/ATI. Great community.

From LAX to the port.

Here is what I came up when I entered your info:

Service Fare
Shared Van service for 2 passengers
$36.27
GoSedan? The exclusive sedan
service for up to 3 guests!
(GoSedan fares include an 18% driver gratuity)

$73.16
Private Van service for up to 7 guests
$80.00
Exclusive Private Van service for up to 9 guests
$95.00
Executive Class Town Car
service for up to 3 guests
$90.86

The shared van is pretty cheap and the shuttle from the SP Doubletree to the port is free. I will even give you my cell phone # so you can call me and I will help w/ your luggage. ;)
Another thought is you would be considerably closer at the port than the airport. That would probably get you on the ship earlier.

Who was collecting names for the Doubletree to see about a group rate?

I really think it was Stace. But I remember her saying that they needed at least 10 rooms booked to get a discount. I know that she has 2.

18!! Today is already gone. After all you are up already.

Well, cool!!

I thought last week was 20...and while I've never claimed to be a math wiz, if last week was 20, then this week should be 19, but 18 sounds even better!

Now granted, I had to take off my shoes and socks to figure out the answer...

Are these fares similar if we're trying to get from LAX to the Disneyland area (HoJo's)? One-way on the Disneyland Express is $84 for our family of 5 so these prices are about the same, but it would probably be more flexible.

:sad2: - as of this morning, April 7th, still no information on theme nights and when they will be for our EBound sailing
