Just had to post that I got an EARFUL this afternoon. Sent the April 1 newsletter to my parents and they TOTALLY FREAKED OUT!!!!

Mom can't figure out why the captain needs to be tipped and dad says those aren't celebrities because all he knows is Julie Andrews and that guy from Knight Rider. Plus mom spent 30 minutes searching the house for the new Passporter to check things out for shore excursions and Palo because it has to be booked today. Then she just got so frustrated she nearly canceled the cruise!

Ok so after a few shots of tequila and a check of the email, my spirits are lifted. Still dealing with the medical bills, but because my birthday is next week (subtle hint) it seems as if I have some good meals in my future. Just for being on their mailing lists I have received the following birthday offers:

• A free burger of choice at Red Robin
• 10 free hotwings at Wing Stop
• Buy 1 meal get 1 free at Sweet Tomatoes
• Free dessert at Bucca di Beppo (sp?)
• Free appetizer at Joe's Crab Shack

You're soooo funny.

I guess the rain we're getting now is keeping me INDOORS instead of running out to cover evening chores.... like running to Home Depot to get some stuff I need to complete a "Honey-Do" chore Alicia is waiting on fer me ta finish. among other things recreational - like my sometime inclination to visit the local bookstore in the late evenings.

So - whats new in SF? we're gonna be in town some time in early December. Alicia just accepted an assignment to work a convention in town there - so we're gonna tag along and hang in the room FREE - and sort of do some lite exploring.

aside from that I'm organizing some photos to share here - maybe I'll have them up tonite - dunno though if I'll finish or not tonite.​

I'm beginning to feel as if I don't even EXIST as my spouse bought me a nice down parka from REI (it's spring and they're going for clearance prices - duh!)... which I returned today. As I liked my old one more... so I technically have NO birthday offers or "thoughts" in developement... as far as I can tell....

Bip some people would not join our thread or had trouble keeping up because there is too much chatter. Some people just want to come here to find out information about ports, special nights, plans, etc., and they felt many of the actual cruise discussions were being lost in our thread. Well those of us who do the chattering like to talk & get to know each other so a solution was to create a site that doesn't just have information stored like the Pirate web site, but also has an area to "discuss" plans. This is still our main thread, but when we want to find out who is doing what & when...the new site is the place to go. It's really very well put together & not overwhelming at all.

uh, okay this makes no sense to me. Sorry. I don't mean to offend anyone but our thread is too busy for some people to bother with- so we have not only the pirates website but yet ANOTHER board to keep up with? I mean add yet another board to keep up with for everyone else because "some people" couldn't keep up here?
So what- that board is only for "important posts" and not chattering? why can't the info stlll be put on the pirates website for those of us not interested in registering and reading yet ANOTHER board just because some people don't want to mess with this thread. And btw that important stuff the first post could have a link to where the post is (in the thread) with the info- so it's not like they'd have to hunt thru pages and pages to find it. This really makes no sense to me and I'm getting a little tired of registering at so many places. I'm not trying to be mean- I'm just tired of registering here and there because OTHER people don't want to deal with the thread here. for crying out loud... make it harder on everyone else just to please them? they don't want to keep up with this thread or even follow a link that could be made to the post in this thread so I have to go to another board, register and everything?

you know- we really wanted the bracelets but it's not worth registering at another board. I'm on the DIS.. and this is our thread. We shouldn't have to register somewhere else to participate in group things like that. One other board for info/chat/etc. is enough... 2 is really ridiculous IMO

I'll look for it later tonite... the kids have to be put to bed now so I gotta wander off for a bit. The last couple of nites I've been naughty and stayed up - so I'm wacked tonite and may just slip into blissful slumber without warning.

So - on another quick note - Kayak suggested we had low airfares from MCO into LAX... as low as $170 on Sept 2nd... or $180 on the 1st with our preferred airline - United. Which has us ready to book ... either tonite or tomorrow.

And on another note - I bought a sled kit with all the wood cut to shape and ready for assemblyand finishing. What a deal for me an' the kids to assemble for next winters' sledding.

AND... today I got a cool shiney denim Guess jacket. Alicia has not seen it yet - but its' MY gift to myself (of a sort) since it was on sale. Since it's raining I'll not go outside to get it and show Alicia yet -

And may I ask if the links I posted for you on the special warrenty repair possibility for your notebook.... did that help you at all? Or the screen replacent info? Did ya even SEE it?

I haven't recieved anything yet but I did just call my TA and pay off our cruise!

I am also trying to get thru to Disney Weddings... but my consultant is on vacation..I get to book Palo 105 days out and wanted to see if I get to book my excursions too. (I know..I am being greedy!)

I am jealous..it seems like everyone is on deck 6..I'm on deck 7..I will have to come down the stairs to play ding dong ditchem first thing in the morning!
