That is really awesome, what a huge achievement for him and how wonderful for you. I'm thrilled his mother saw his affection towards you too.

I haven't recieved anything yet but I did just call my TA and pay off our cruise!

I am also trying to get thru to Disney Weddings... but my consultant is on vacation..I get to book Palo 105 days out and wanted to see if I get to book my excursions too. (I know..I am being greedy!)

I am jealous..it seems like everyone is on deck 6..I'm on deck 7..I will have to come down the stairs to play ding dong ditchem first thing in the morning!

I haven't gotten anything yet either - gettin impatient too. DH and I was just discussing how funny it was that we were excited to get or expect to get mail form DCL

I thought tday was going to be just an average day (ok with the kids trying to pull April Fool's jokes on me ).But it wasn't!

So today one of my kids at my afterschool program-child happensto be on the autism spectrum-cleaned up an area with out being asked (huge deal for this guy!)So,because I love positive reinforcement,I made a big deal when mom came to pick him up. Put my arm around his shoulder and thanked him and said "you did such a great job! Thanks for helping out!".He then gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek! (Big deal because he is not a touchy feely kid. I also knew it was huge because mom had to pick her jaw up off the ground!)

So with an event like that makes me feel as if I made a difference in at least one little guy's life!

Just wanted to share.

Good job Chrissie! Sounds like you were absolutely meant to be a teacher. I'm sure you will make a difference in many children's lives, sometimes when you don't even think you are.

I have asked a few times and all I read was on the first post- but on the first post I can't find it! where is the "poll" mentioned about the pirates wristband? when I click the link on the first post it takes me to some discussion board I'm not registered for apparently- my pirates website name/password didn't work. we have to go register there to say how many wristbands we want or find out info about it?

I questioned the same thing but went ahead and registered and when I did I found all kinds of good information including the wristband info! Have fun!!

April 2nd I'll be celebrating DS's Birthday.

11 years ago yesterday, I was sitting in the Ob-Gyn's office saying OK God, I really can't do an April Fools's baby. So, how about we wait till tomorrow? Funny thing was my water had broke but the Ph test came back negative, so they didn't think it really happened (can you say head like a cork ?) If the test had come back positive, I would have been admitted on the 1st.

Then this morning he told me he had a dream that we were on the ship sitting on the deck by the pool when I just disappeared. It seems I abandoned him to be with my DIS friends. I think he is feeling a little threatened. So make sure to make him feel welcomed. He will be the guy in the corner all by himself wearing the speedo. Good thing he doesn't read this board except over my shoulder, otherwise I would be in trouble. He really is a great guy, just a little shy.


I am married to the guy and love him dearly, but that is a sight even I don't want to see.

I know what you mean though - I was at the OB-Gyn on Valentine's Day and of course they hooked up me up to one of those machines and sure enough I was having contractions. I went home and cried - told my DH that I didn't want DS born on Valentine's Day and that I refused to do it...he held off until 8:08 pm on the 15th (I think that may have been the last time he really listened to me too )

Big Announcement Everyone!!!! I got a new job! They fired my boss (great guy) & have been beating on me... I went looking & stumbled upon this job (very unexpected). Better hours, no looking over my shoulder, little more money.... & they're OK with my TOAL. I should be happy but have mixed feelings... I feel like I'm letting down my kids & parents (I've been working at a boys & girls club).... but I just can't face working for the people who have taken over. Very bitter/sweet decision. Gonna be lots of tears when I tell the kids (if they let me). Going to give notice on Monday... we'll see if they walk me out. I'm going to really miss the kids...

Sorry I'm in a smart add mood today! Must be because I sent my COMPLETED thesis to my professor yesterday. Other than the table of contents & reference page, but that doesn't have to go until the final draft. And I filled out my "intent to graduate" form! Had a little problem with that since I procrastinated so much they had dropped me as a student! Well the registrars office was very nice & I just had to fill out an extra form, but all set now...I hope!

My Dad got an email from our TA that she had something from DCL to send to us so I assume that is it. I would have thought it would have come to me directly.

My parents are having a huge dinner party at their house tonight (something for the church) so we get Boris, the blind Dachsand back for the night. I guess I got used to him last time since we had him the whole week but tonight he seems high maintenance.

Another one who hasn't received anything. We moved since we made our deposit, but after I was PIF, I went to the website and changed our address. Even though it may not be much, it's still nice to get Mickey Mail! Heck, we even enjoy the Disney Visa flyer and my office neighbor lets me read her "Disney Files" magazine.

Just had to post that I got an EARFUL this afternoon. Sent the April 1 newsletter to my parents and they TOTALLY FREAKED OUT!!!!

Mom can't figure out why the captain needs to be tipped and dad says those aren't celebrities because all he knows is Julie Andrews and that guy from Knight Rider. Plus mom spent 30 minutes searching the house for the new Passporter to check things out for shore excursions and Palo because it has to be booked today. Then she just got so frustrated she nearly canceled the cruise!

We're currently dog sitting as well (through next weekend! ). She's a very tiny miniature schnauzer, but very high maintenance this time compared to last time! We have to prepare her special food as she had an infection in the jaw, and she seems to need a lot of attention.
