Nope, but I am still waiting for something that got mailed in Feb.

Hope everything works out for you! It stinks when work isn't good, as you have to spend so much time there. Must be something about the weather... work stinks for me too.
My boss got fired (unfairly) and now everybody is lost without him. I've had a couple of run-ins with the interim boss & we don't get along & he doesn't allow me to do my job (keeps butting in & going behind my back). So then last night he says he leaving & I go to work at the desk he had been at & when I was cleaning I find a paper that he left there listing my job, stating that people could send their resumes to our main office. Makes me feel real warm & fuzzy!:confused3
OK now I've vented... thank you! TGIF!!

I'd check with HR -- that just doesn't sound right. Does your company use monster.com or something similar -- check that website to see if the position is your exact position or just something similar. Perhaps it's another position, similarly titled. There was a time in my career where we had a complicated situation where we had to place an ad with the exact same title as someone else. We were actually creating a new position at that level and had no intention to replace the other person. The job description was completely different, but the person panicked and looked for another job and found one. We then had two positions to replace instead of one. I'm not an HR expert, but although employment is "at will", most companies go through a formal process of verbal warning, written warning and final written warning unless it's harassment or something illegal.

I do appreciate the head's up about the new thread. But I think it is too confusing having 2 threads open. Just makes more sense to me to get closed, then open a new one. :confused3

Haven't gotten anything from DCL in a while. I'll be on the lookout now though. But it will probably go through my TA first so it will be extra delayed.

and you can only wear that if you have an add that looks like that.....

(My Salsa Aerobics instructor has one like that if not better...!!! Can't wait till class tomorrow. He has a huge devout group of females who attend each week....:rolleyes1 )

Looks like it's the couch for the next 2 days....hate sleeping in the bed by myself. Harley better leave me some room!

Sofa city sweetheart..... I remember when DH used to travel alot and our dog Casey would hog the bed on nights he wasn't there.

Abby comes up on the bed only in the morning after i get in the shower.

And actually she's ADHD/ODD.. if you know anything about that you know she's forgetful, impulsive, doesn't follow rules well, etc. I can totally see this child, 100% can see her, doing whatever an older group of teens were doing or told her to do- regardless of the fact it's against our rules (such as going to someone's stateroom for any reason whatsoever). To be honest with you- I even have fears of this child acting a fool on open decks and falling over the side. She just doesn't think in advance of consequences of her actions. So yeah, she's not the normal 14yr old like most would think- she's NOTHING like I was at her age.

and so is mine...... And you want these two to meet up? (are you nuts? :upsidedow )

:rotfl: Its not the traffic you need to worry about -it's the  nuts behind the wheel you have to watch out for! :rotfl2:

Oh only nuts.... We've got plenty of them here... I'm more than qualified to drive in LA then.

The visit will be really good for me. April 23 will be 10 years since my mom died. Anniversaries usually don't bother me, but this one has been icky since about Christmas (10 years since our last, blah, blah, blah). Anyway. Dad's GF's husband died a week after my mom. They met in a young widow/er support group (they were 50), so she gets it.

 Similar to my DFIL's situation, M. Mil died 3.5 years ago and a short but ugly bout with cancer. My Fil met his lady friend in a widowers group. (Her spouse had died at around the same time.) They went out about 6 months before they realized they wanted to get married and move on together. He brought her down to DC last spring to meet us and they were so cute together. (She brought out a different side of him. A good one.) They were married last July. I'm just happy to see him happy.

He still isn't very active in our lives but at least he's not alone.

Thanks for the reminder Cheryl!

All you other wenches know who to thank too!!!

I've got my swimsuit picked out already!

Mike, you've done some changing since I last saw you...:scared1: My nice side says looking good.... but :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: sorry can't finish...:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Question:
What is the EARLIEST you would book a flight out from MCO after the cruise.
Let me know!
Last time we booked a room that evening and got a day room at the Hyatt at the airport- but we ended up getting there to the room like 9am-ish. We don't need to spend a day there this time.... do you think a flight at 12:24pm would be pushing it at all or any risk of not making it? I mean we are arriving back on Monday instead of a Sat- will that make any difference good or bad as far as traffic/etc?

I think 12:24 is fine, just as long as you hustle getting off ship, etc.

MCO stinks for getting in through security (although most others are bad today) but if you go by the 2 hour rule, that's 10:24, its about an hour from port - 9:24.... should be no problem unless we are late.

Now if you happen to have piercings in unmentionable places.....give extra time

LOL
They'd probably get along like gangbusters..... literally.

Todd, that was my fault, I was just setting it up and posted it to wrong section which created confusion.....

Trying to be efficient...

Sorry all!

LOL
I posted on the other thread then realized we weren't there yet so I brought it over here... after your post.. so now it looks like you have esp or something. LOL

Okay so you think it might be squeezing it a bit?
the reason I ask is because right now I can get a cheaper flight for us at only that time- all the other times/airlines is another $15- 45 more per ticket- which for 5 of us adds up. and most of the other times are late that night. we would prefer NOT to get back late at night like we did last time..... once we get to the airport and get our vehicle and all that- we still have an almost 2hr drive home and the kids will have school the next day, DH will have work early the next morning- yanno? We'd rather get back ASAP if possible.

How often is the cruise ship really back late? What happens if you're back late for your flight? do you just lose the flight and have to pay for another flight later?

LOL

Well, I am psychic.... or at least figured since I created the two thread confusion I could try to bring it over......

In 2006, Labor Day Weekend (Sept 2 - Sat) we had a 1:00 flight. We got off boat, got rental car, went to Disney Outlet, filled up with gas and were still at the airport by 10:30.

LOL

Apart for hurricanes when the magic was routed elsewhere, I have never read it here that the Magic was late in, of course if it was, and you have trip insurance you could claim, DCL say 12.30pm>1pm is when you should book Flights and not before.

yeah ours wasn't Labor day.... but I wondered if it would make a difference one way or the other. On our cruise- ofcourse arriving back on sat and not on labor day weekend- we went by limo and we were there like 9:30am. :confused3 And then we were like hmmm... we coulda made our flight much earlier! We had it that evening- spent the day at the hyatt- then our early evening flight got delayed... we ended up getting home REALLY late (like more like early AM LOL)
we no wanna do dat again
