Just received my 2008 Deluxe Passporter. I haven't had a chance to really look through it, but looks like it includes the Panama Canal cruises. I will try to check it out tonight after my nap. I am feeling better just very tired.

Mine came in yesterday! It has us in Acapulco 6:30 am to 1:00 pm. No mention of early Cliffdivers.

Obviously back from surgery.
The 1st "scoop" they took apparantly got clean margins so we went off to the plastic surgeon. After much discussion about the best way to repair the crater on the side of my nose- they came up w/ creating a "flap" from my cheek instead of the skin graf. The residents thought a skin graf but the plastic surgeon said that was the worst thing to do in this circumstace. His explanation made no sense to me, so I just went with it.
I know have 31 stitches on my face and will require another surgery to do the 2nd part. Stitches come out already on Friday. That was earlier than I thought. The 2nd surgery will be in a few weeks. From what I understand it will be worse in the short run and better long term. Since I work from home, it allowed this method.
The weird/sad part is I was the youngest patient by 2 generations there yesterday. All of the companions were my Mom's age but they were there for their parents and my Mom was there for her daughter. He Dr. said I was the youngest patient he would have all week. Lucky me!
Anyway, at least that part is over and was not that bad. Even with 31 stitches I have not taken any pain pills.

We are gettting more S*** on Friday after we just had 10 inches of S*** last Friday!

It seems like that is all you have had this winter was snow. Hopefully, mother nature will realize it is Spring SOON.

We've seen the track coach's in High School "recruiting" ex-gymnasts for many of the field events. Apparently the girls can easily transition to the Pole Vault, High Jump, Long Jump, etc very easily. A girl who Lisa used to train with is a Senior and decided to "try" track for the fun of it. She was recently featured in our local newspaper as the Athlete of the Week. She currently holds the Long Jump and the Triple Jump County Records. We talked with her and she said she found it ironic that she was named Athlete of the Week for a sport she had spent 3 weeks in and ignored for a sport she spent 10+ years in.

Ironic, isn't it.

Lovely. A little cold, but much better than taking 45 minutes to get to work. Parking for 10 hours is $2.50 (about what I was paying to park at the BART station). I get to drive by the ball park

A little rain doesn't bother me, but if we get anything serious (like this winter), I'll drive & BART.

In other scooter news, I dropped the bike today in the driveway. She's a little dinged up (as am I), but basically OK. I figure if I have to drop her, that's the way to do it, but I still wish it hadn't happened.

Well hey pirate pals. Long time no see. Miss all the chatter.

Made a St. Patty's Day resolution to check in every day. I'm already two days behind, but I'm going to try to do better, I promise. And I've added Friday night chats to my pda calendar to remind me. I always think about chats when I wake up on Friday but forget about it by time the sun goes down. I think I'll have more time after my April trip to WDW with my nieces, nephew & SIL. Until then.

However, logging in to find speedo pics might make me change my mind. Ugh, reminds me of my hometown in the middle of summer. Not sure I want to know what that's all about!

It's amazing how your whole day can turn on a dime ... was awakened this morning by DH, who came home from work early and woke up our oldest DS at 5:30 am, why would Dear ole Dad do this to said child you ask ... why because it's OPENING DAY and the Red Sox game was televised starting at 6:00. I suppose it's a lot worse for those Oakland A's fans ... those poor folks had to wake up in the middle of the night

When I got to work I was grinning from ear to ear ... first at my DH and DS and their unfailing loyalty to their ball club ... then the Pirate joke from my youngest. Just had my Mom-heart full today ... then I checked the home email. This is where it all gets dumped into the potty ... I got an email from the company that I've been interviewing with ... and I didn't make it to the next round of interviews Got the standard line that my qualifications were impressive, blah, blah, blah ... I work in HR, and I've written many of those letters over the past 13/14 years and they all boil down to one thing L O S E R

So, anyone out there want to pull up a chair and enjoy some cheese with my whine this morning I hate interviewing ... but I hate my current job more ... so I'm back to sending out gazillions of resumes

It was just today I was chatting with my spouse about how so many folks are changing jobs. In one case a new manager with a competing company came in from corporate... he had NO sales experience and was a horrible psychotic bone head. More than half his team has quit - some were well known by my spouse as super professionals - who quit abruptly without a new job lined up befdore hand! And in another case we know of another manager who came in and so-and-so number of that team moaned and groaned - and quit. So - we understand entirely. We too have had our fair share of headache too - and count ourselves lucky that our current circumstances are tolerably stable.

My point though - is that you are not alone in seeking to reshuffle the company deck - or "hand" you're playing - if ya git my drift. And I'm pretty sure the next opportunity will work out for you!

I dropped my Harley in the driveway. Afterwards my brother tells me, oh yeah, most people drop their new bikes in their driveway within the first week. Wish he would have told me, I might have been more careful.
