Obviously back from surgery.
The 1st "scoop" they took apparantly got clean margins so we went off to the plastic surgeon. After much discussion about the best way to repair the crater on the side of my nose- they came up w/ creating a "flap" from my cheek instead of the skin graf. The residents thought a skin graf but the plastic surgeon said that was the worst thing to do in this circumstace. His explanation made no sense to me, so I just went with it.
I know have 31 stitches on my face and will require another surgery to do the 2nd part. Stitches come out already on Friday. That was earlier than I thought. The 2nd surgery will be in a few weeks. From what I understand it will be worse in the short run and better long term. Since I work from home, it allowed this method.
The weird/sad part is I was the youngest patient by 2 generations there yesterday. All of the companions were my Mom's age but they were there for their parents and my Mom was there for her daughter. He Dr. said I was the youngest patient he would have all week. Lucky me!:sad2:
Anyway, at least that part is over and was not that bad. Even with 31 stitches I have not taken any pain pills.

glad it went well :thumbsup2

I know you are all so interested in my weight loss and cant wait for the next installment,

Well we have had bad weather, so less exercise, basically cut by 50% and we had Easter, but no eggs of the chocolate variety passed my lips.

So today I am down 2.5 Ilbs, to 14.13 today, and very pleased I broke into the 14 stone range, considering I started at 17 Stone 7 in December.

Now in the end of May I am going to ruin it at DLP!

Woohoo! That's great news Andrew! Congrats! :woohoo:

You won't ruin it. All the walking around should help keep the weight gain to a minimum!

Just to add on the WDWINFO now posted today.

Disney Cruise Lines holds off adding fuel surcharge
Mar 25, 2008

With the cost of fuel skyrocketing, Disney Cruise Line announced that for now, it is not following the lead of Royal Caribbean and Carnival in imposing fuel surcharges.

While Disney Cruise Line is seeking ways to recover these increased costs, it will not do so before April and has stated that existing bookings will not be impacted.

Royal Caribbean and Carnival applied surcharges across the board to both existing and new bookings. Royal Caribbean, facing a lawsuit due to this action, has since refunded the surcharge for its guests who had existing reservations. Carnival has left the fees intact.

Now that's a positive attitude!!

NAME TAGS would be wonderful! The problem is getting people to wear them. I've been having trouble with names all year since I got into this PTO co-president business. I have always been terrible with names and trying to remember all these parents is driving me crazy. Are we going to have an initial "meet and great" event at the beginning of the cruise? Any chance we could get people to wear name tags for that event?

Pamela

Yeah, I don't do name tags. I'd rather you call me "Hey You"

DC wanted to make sure you felt at home, so it's give you a bit of Alaska weather. It's that nice? :upsidedow

I'd have no problem with it if we could at least have some snow.

:thumbsup2 One more vote for name tags! I'm terrible with names, but it I see it written down - then I'm way, way better remembering them. Does that make me a visual learner? :confused3

And I promise to wear mine!

Awesome, you can wear mine too!

Yeah, I don't do name tags. I'd rather you call me "Hey You"

I immediately thought of the same reply your dh had when you asked him to make Palo ressies while you are out of town.

Of course, you will be easy to recognize, you will be dragging a corpse around and sporting that humidity/shampoo 'fro...:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

HA! I thought the same thing!!:rotfl2: My plan is to print out color pictures of the pirates from the site and starting a few months ahead, every time someone posts I am going to look at their picture. Then I am going to write something specific they wrote so I know something to say when I meet them. :rotfl:

BTW- I am just "Coral"

pirate: flash cards :lmao:

thank you.
The emergency thing doesn't help (we did it last time without a passport and took the same risk then) BUT your first paragraph- silly as it may sound- makes me feel better. atleast now I know the money wasn't wasted!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl: spent and needed is much better than spent but didn't need it. yanno? does that make sense?
*phew* feel much better now!

Hi BIP!!!!:goodvibes
Good to see ya
I haven't done the passports yet. Iknow I should. They are on the list for next month.

Of course, you will be easy to recognize, you will be dragging a corpse around and sporting that humidity/shampoo 'fro...:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

...and all I will need to do to look normal is stand next to the guy in the speedo...

Uh-oh, maybe I shouldn't have said anything......:rotfl:

Actually, it didn't bother me.....I just thought it was funny they read it that way since I have always had Ohio State graphics in my sig and an Ohio State avatar. Just can't imagine how everyone doesn't know about The Ohio State Buckeyes! ;) :goodvibes

Who? Are they some kind of 4H club?

I'd have no problem with it if we could at least have some snow.

We had more than our share of s***!!!! How many inches did Anchorage get this year?????? I am blaming it all on you for our the most snow in 25 years!!!!:headache: :headache:

:goodvibes :goodvibes

Be careful what you wish for...

You should note none of the folk that have actually met me are requesting the speedo!

Tom, do not let anyone dissuade you from wearing your Speedo if that makes you comfortable.

Of course, herein lies a major problem for this cruise.... WHO IS EVERYONE?

Are you M&M's Mom, Marlene, Coral? I'm challenged for names on the best of days, now everyone has multiple names....

I hope no one is offended when I:

  1. Check cheat sheet
  2. Call you by your DIS screen name
  3. Stare blankly as I think "name... name.... darn it, why can't I remember names"

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Join the club Tom cause I'll be right there with you! ;)

Just received my 2008 Deluxe Passporter. I haven't had a chance to really look through it, but looks like it includes the Panama Canal cruises. I will try to check it out tonight after my nap.:rotfl: I am feeling better just very tired.
