great news M&M's mom! the second surgery will be over soon enough...

Has anyone else had a crazy day so far today? it's been feeling like a full moon type of crazy... or it could just be me.

Even though we're PIF and I'm beginning to post here, it still hasn't sunk in that we're actually going on this TOAL. Perhaps once we get past the first date where we can't backout without penalty. I know it will have finally sunk in when I start having crazy OCP dreams about it.

Just say 'hello' getting your post count up,

Hope everyone is fine, everyone ok,

Got all of my Disneyland Paris meal ressies today and a show, all at the times i wanted, so hopefully a omen for DLC and DCL.:thumbsup2

Unless you are a pessimist, in which case you used up all your luck and stuck it to the rest of us in the process.... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have already started having those dreams! :rotfl:

For me, it really sunk in when we were PIF and finally bought our flights. No turning back now!

Who sneezed on their computer? Was it your M or Roger or maybe Crash. It seems I finally caught whatever it is that is going around. My grandson was sick last week and DH was sick this weekend, so Easter Sunday it was my turn. I am finally feeling a little better this afternoon. Hope the rest of you are getting better. And Coral glad to hear things went well with you.

I have never been good with names either. So I just smile and nod.

Ummm couldn't have been me, I have anti-virus on my computer. :lmao: :lmao:
Hope you get over it quickly Terri

Obviously back from surgery.
The 1st "scoop" they took apparently got clean margins so we went off to the plastic surgeon. After much discussion about the best way to repair the crater on the side of my nose- they came up w/ creating a "flap" from my cheek instead of the skin graft. The residents thought a skin graft but the plastic surgeon said that was the worst thing to do in this circumstance. His explanation made no sense to me, so I just went with it.
I know have 31 stitches on my face and will require another surgery to do the 2nd part. Stitches come out already on Friday. That was earlier than I thought. The 2nd surgery will be in a few weeks. From what I understand it will be worse in the short run and better long term. Since I work from home, it allowed this method.
The weird/sad part is I was the youngest patient by 2 generations there yesterday. All of the companions were my Mom's age but they were there for their parents and my Mom was there for her daughter. He Dr. said I was the youngest patient he would have all week. Lucky me!:sad2:
Anyway, at least that part is over and was not that bad. Even with 31 stitches I have not taken any pain pills.

Glad you have made it through the tough part Coral. :thumbsup2 Now all of us will be staring at your nose to see if we can tell which side it was.

And when I think of you Coral I picture Mrs. Marlin (we have to keep you away from those barracudas)

Of course, herein lies a major problem for this cruise.... WHO IS EVERYONE?

Are you M&M's Mom, Marlene, Coral? I'm challenged for names on the best of days, now everyone has multiple names....

I hope no one is offended when I:

  1. Check cheat sheet
  2. Call you by your DIS screen name
  3. Stare blankly as I think "name... name.... darn it, why can't I remember names"
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

One word: "NAME TAGS!" With both our real name and DIS name.

NAME TAGS would be wonderful! The problem is getting people to wear them. I've been having trouble with names all year since I got into this PTO co-president business. I have always been terrible with names and trying to remember all these parents is driving me crazy. Are we going to have an initial "meet and great" event at the beginning of the cruise? Any chance we could get people to wear name tags for that event?

If I remember correctly, Chrissie volunteered to print them to fit in the DCL lanyards?

OK where the heck is spring? It's 30 freeking degrees. Aren't these south parts supposed to get spring early? It's 33 at my Alaska house and it's only 2 am there.

DC wanted to make sure you felt at home, so it's give you a bit of Alaska weather. It's that nice? :upsidedow

I got an email from the company that I've been interviewing with ... and I didn't make it to the next round of interviews :sad1: Got the standard line that my qualifications were impressive, blah, blah, blah ... I work in HR, and I've written many of those letters over the past 13/14 years and they all boil down to one thing L O S E R :sad2:

It doesn't say loser - it says the right thing hasn't turned up yet. Keep you chin up, and keep looking!

:thumbsup2 One more vote for name tags! I'm terrible with names, but it I see it written down - then I'm way, way better remembering them. Does that make me a visual learner? :confused3

And I promise to wear mine!

We were on that Western turned Eastern in 2006 too. Do you think that adds to the karma? :rolleyes1

pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:
Who did the pirate have a crush on?

CindAAARRella!

Oh, oh! Nah. I'll just get in trouble.

Thank you got2travel and goofyforlife. I appreciate your insight. Yes, I am hoping for no large swells. At the time we booked, we hadn't been on our first Disney cruise yet, it was in 2 months. However, the price difference was $3,000 and DH thought that would more than pay for shore excursions, which was why we chose the Cat. 9. We didn't notice at first what deck the cabin was on, only that we were on the ship. I think (hope) it will be ok. We don't plan on being in there too much anyway.
I hope everyone out there is feeling better soon. My kids both had the virus but it hit them differently. My DS missed a week of school with a low grade fever and my DD just wasn't feeling well. They appear to be well now.
Have a great day everyone!

hi everyone! took off yesterday, working today, and off again tomorrow! woohoo!!

From everything I read (having no real practical experience), the higher up you are, the more you will feel the swells, so if we do have rough seas, you will have the smoothest ride (although you might hear it more) as long as you don't open your window! :rotfl:
