My aunt has Easter Monday off too (I don't), but we can't figure out what it is. I'm actually going on an interview for a new job... my current one has been going downhill FAST! They fired my boss last Wed & nobody is happy. :sad1: It was a witch-hunt & the community is in an uproar. Time for me to look elsewhere. Just hope it doesn't affect my TOAL.
Good Luck with the interview. :thumbsup2

Finally got my blood work back and the doctor has put me on a daily preventative medicine (allopurinol). I can't start taking it until my current flare-up has completely receded, but was told that this should prevent flare-ups altogether. This was great news as I can now get back into some sort of regular exercise program.:cool1:
Awesome news:goodvibes Will make it easier to enjoy the TOAL without worry:thumbsup2

We're so jealous of all you 770 and 790 owners! After telling DW about it, we've been watching the prices carefully. So far, the best price I can find on-line is around $225, but only from websites I've not heard of such as Digital Megastore. Has anyone purchased the 850? I can get it for $250 from a website I've had good luck with in the past (Buydig.com). However, I'd prefer to wait until I can get the 770 or 790 for under $200.
I panicked when I couldn't find it in any of our local stores:confused3 The 790 is usually about $50 less than the 770 I think. Buying with a credit card gives you some protection if you are worried about the website:confused3 Good luck with your quest;)

Wow! I wonder how the hen does that?:confused3
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We're off today, but I have to go to the doctors this afternoon, boo. My left eyelid started to swell slightly on Friday...bad new is, it's getting worse !! Hopefully, it's just a sinus infection. yaknow, as opposed to quasimodo-itis :rotfl2:

I also have to go to a viewing tonight. My Mom's youngest sister, just 61 years old. My Mom's whole family is gone now. She was oldest when she died at 63. That's one of the reasons I spend my money now.
Ouch:headache: Could it be a stye :confused3 They go away after a few days:confused3 Hope it isn't serious.

Sorry about your aunt:hug: Keeping in touch with your dr is a good idea to keep on top of things. Both DH and I came from families that believe in spending money too;)

So, just got back from the doctors (had to see a partner because my doc was booked)... she's not really sure what it is & ordered a brain scan "just to be safe". After I scrapped myself off the ceiling, I called my friend who manages the MRI center where we work. She gave me a million reasons why it's "no big deal"... getting scanned tomorrow at 2:30...

Yikes Lisa! Maybe they just want to document the quasimodoitis, you know, for research purposes.

I hope they don't find anything. Well, I hope they find something, just not anything that isn't supposed to be there.

I had a brain scan once. They didn't find anything... So don't worry about it.

So many comments...so little time...

Howdy Crew!

Happy Easter! Happy Vernal Equinox! Happy whatever-spring-holidy-you-observe! :goodvibes

:dogdance: In some happy news, we finished Taiko on Saturday. :woohoo: Wound up putting DS10's mentor on him to show - they looked great together. DS10 took him back in and won Best of Opposite Sex. Then they went on to place 3rd in Junior Showmanship. It was an all round great day at the dog show. :thumbsup2 paw: paw: paw: paw:

I'll post the show picture when I get it - in several weeks... :guilty:

In any case, please raise a glass to... :drinking1

Champion Graenit's Taiko Drummer of Axel, RN!!

No, not Registered Nurse, he's not quite that bright... Rally Novice.

-----------------------

Anyway, I really logged in to tell you about this really, really strange dream I had last night about the cruise...

We finally got into our room - 8415 (which, I don't think exists) - it was up in the bow, and HUGE. Four beds, and tons and tons of tables. Weird. Anyway, we were getting settled in when all these people started pouring in. Cast Members pulled curtains around the beds and started setting up the tables for dinner. Turns out our cabin doubled as a teen restaurant and dance club - open until 1am. Called Captain Crash - super hero, blue suit, lightening bolts. :scared1: Man, was I ticked.

Went to check for our cabin today... still GTY. Guess we'll be sleeping in Captain Crash's Teen hangout... :rotfl2:

-------------------

Here are some funny faces from Issac - no, really, he insists...

party: :jumping1: :furious: :duck:

Perhaps its just that the Dr. knows how much time you spend on DIS and wants to see if there is actually a brain in there....:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Seriously, its all fine, no problems.

Isnt' that what you said when I told you we were pregnant?

Sounds like you're not over it to me... You gonna teach her softball? I understand that a good player could keep her parents in a style they could become accustomed to. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: That *IS* what you wanted, isn't it?

Or it could cost you more than you ever imagined!:rotfl: My husband is convinced that even if DD gets a gymnastic scholorship (she is on track at Level 10 and 13 years old), he has paid for college already in terms of training fees, meet fees, travel for meets, etc. The only "upside" for him at this point is that he knows where is DD is 5 nights a week and many weekends. She is too busy to get into trouble.:cool1:

Wow, that is weird:confused3 Some drs are more cautious than others. They will know right away so the hardest part is waiting till tomorrow:hug: Most likely a false alarm:flower3:

Yes I am over it but it would have been nice to have a Left handed closer
My DH was very disappointed that both our kids take after me in the sports dept:rolleyes1 He is a huge baseball fan:rolleyes:

OK, the part of that I understood sounds really exciting! Congrats!
I just love show dog names!

Thanks!

He-he-he-he, there really are some good names out there. Some breeders have the theme to their litter, some simply alphabetize (A-litter, B-litter, etc.). Here are some of my favorites from litters we've had... (The dog's call name - everyday name - is in quotes after the registered name.)

From the Gambling litter:
Graenit's Rushin' Roulette "Kaiya" (her call name didn't have anything to do with her registered name)

From the Computer litter:
Graenit's Two Full Bytes "Digit" (OK, all the computer nerds will find that one funny)

From the Comics litter:
Graenit's Raidin' the Fridge "Dagwood" (he lives in Finland)

From the Air Force litter:
Graenit's Phantom Phyler "Jet-A" (I think this one is my favorite - the breed is nicknamed the Gray Ghost)

This last litter, the Musical litter produced: (none of these are as good as the others, I think)
Graenit's Taiko Drummer of Axel "Taiko"
Graenit's Dueling Banjos of Axel "Banjo"
Graenit's Twelve String of Axel "Gauge"

Heck, coming up with names is half the fun. We've got the Opera litter held in reserve for the next female puppy we breed and keep....
Graenit's Mezzo Soprano "Diva" or maybe something about "Carmen", that's a good name too.

The next female pup we get will be named for my grandmother - didn't have any daughters, so it's the best I can do...
Graenit's For The Love of Genevieve, or maybe Graenit's White Lady, or something along those lines "Genia" (Gen-ya, with a hard G)

I heard about a dog named "Gomer" yesterday - what a great call name. I'm completely in love with "Gizmo", we've used it twice and both times lost the pup before 12 months. The name is cursed for us. Sigh. :sad1:

The dog Jakob's mentor is showing right now is named Double UR Pleasure, "Wrigley". He-he, that's a good one.

Hum... If we were to have a Disney litter, what would we name them?
.

I will post this here too, but it is on the planning board under Aruba.

I found this site that talks about shore diving/snorkel sites on Aruba. So if you want to just do a little snorkeling on your own, there are some great places that do not require a boat trip.

Nah. Nothing like that. Captain Crash's Teen Hangout was very nicely decorated. And the walls were full of video equipment, books, etc. Shaped like the bow of the ship. We thought it was an awesome room until all the people started to show up. :rotfl2:

Laurie I don't think the GTY room comes with a bathroom :sad2: Remember we are lucky just to be on the boat.

Yeah, that was the problem when I went to complain as Guest Relations. :rotfl:

Hi everyone! Glad Monday is over...

Wanted to share...
My Uncle came to visit yesterday (only reason that is huge because since my Aunt passed away last May he has bee MIA for family events) He brought with him paintings that my Aunt was working on right before she died. They are unfinished,he asked me to complete them.I am so honored-yet so nervous that I won't do them (or mostly my Aunt) justice.

Wanted to share my view on kids missing school.
I am a teacher. In this world when so many families have so much on their schedules mising a few days (or more) to have family time and create memories is better than the classroom. What you learn from your family and seeing the world (I feel) has a greater impact on you as a person.
My parents took me out of school on numerous occasions (I was a good student and they knew I could handle it) and the memories I have from the trips I still treasure today.I know many teachers/faculty can be cranky about it. (They are also the ones who complain that parents don't have/make time for their kids!) -Again just my opinion.

I also want to send out happy thoughts to those who aren't feeling quite their best!

Chrissie

Esteri!

Strange dream!
You can always borrow our bathroom when you come by to do laundry!

Keeping her out of trouble wouldn't be bad... Kids are expensive, but totally worth it. My SIL's Brother just made it into Stanford on a Fencing Scholarship - not bad for a local kid.

Hum... If we were to have a Disney litter, what would we name them?

Oh Man, I gotta save this for sometime when I'm not at work... The possibilities are very amusing.

Our Golden's registered name is Kona Grasskiller (he's not show quality).

101 Dalmations has a lot of names:confused3 ;)

Or go with the seven dwarves:confused3

OK, the Seven Dwarves....

Graenit's All Fed Up "Grumpy"
Graenit's Gazhuntite "Sneezy" (that one's no good - too hard to spell)
Graenit's In Charge "Doc"
Graenit's Nap Time "Sleepy"
Graenit's Goof Off "Dopey"
Graenit's Chucklin' Fool "Happy"
Graenit's Shy and Retiring "Bashful"

Hum... Those aren't very good.

Let's see, if we do POC, we get...

Graenit's Capt'n Jack Sparrow "Jack" or "Jonny" (ho-hum)
Graenit's Black Pearl call name???
Graenit's Flying Dutchman call name???
Graenit's Davey Jones "Davey" (ho-hum)

Need some girl names...

Graenit's Sea Queen "Calypso" <-- hey, I like that one
Graenit's Pieces of Eight "Doubloon" (unisex name)

Hum... what else?
