but black & white are my favorite colors, :hippie:

That's "good" news about your ankle. I've had to do the boot before although my favorite was wearing a suit with a dress shoe on one foot and a brown sandle on the other as it was the only shoe that would fit.

Your previous doctor was fairly hasty with the first diagnosis given it took mine about four visits over a few years before realizing it was gout.

I am glad its just tendonitus and I feel like I can live with slowing down a bit. He did say I may be able to walk the 10k that I was training so hard for. Running it is out of the question. When I started running 2 years ago, I realized how much I enjoyed it, I love the solitude of it. It was the only ME time I could get without kids, husband, phone, etc. One of my goals was to complete a half marathon at age 40, now it may have to wait unitil I am 41 but I am determined to do it! I am glad I don't have to give up running but I do feel like I need to find something else to give me that physical training that i need.

Thanks for all your kind words............can't wait to meet you guys in August. I was reading the pirate profiles on the website this weekend - we still need to do ours. I think your family is right down the hall from our family - we are in stateroom 6548. We are flying into LA on the 13th and staying at Hojos until we leave on the 17th. My DS will turn 13 on August 14 and DD will be 9 - I think our kids are close in age. Looking forward to meeting you guys!

Quick question:

Was thinking of going ahead and buying our park hoppers passes now (with our tax refund). I can buy them at the Disney Store - these are the same prices as the website but we get the actual plastic card ticket instead of paper.

Others have been getting their tickets at getawaytoday.com. These tickets are picked up at the will call window, $10 more BUT have two early entry days attached to them.

Which one would you do?

No. I'm not a prosecutor turned Governor....

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

ok i'm a dork...i actually got that joke.

mmm i hope none of our group got those.... The bonus tickets are only good until 5/7/2008. Won't work for August. Check mousesaver's site for ones good during our time period.

EDITED: now i see what you were talking about... I guess it might be worth it. Never heard of them though.

OK, back from Singapore. They boys passports will be mailed on Friday. I opted to not go back this afternoon to pick them up. The "Will Call" line was out the door, plus the whole strip search thing. Even the supervisor I talked to basically said "that was stupid" only in not so many words.

Crisis solved. Yay!

So after dealing with the U.S. Govt. to get the issue addressed, you are going to allow the U.S. Postal Service to have a crack at messing things up?

So - once again... who is runnin' the Pirate Zone home page again...???

management_strip_search.21375822_std.gif

So disappointing.... No strip search?

All I know is I am ... of course ... INNOCENT of everything ....

They all did their science projects in pairs....only one ribbon per project...so we let the other boy keep the ribbon and just took a picture of DS holding it before handing it over.
This is the two of them with their project board after setting it up for the Fair. Mine's the one with the glasses.

:wave2: everyone - my turn to get sick. Got hit pretty hard on Saturday with what I suspect was some bad :fish: from McDee's. Did I mention how I've always hated that place? But it was Friday after all. Who knows. I felt something Sat morn and by Sat evening - I think I even posted I wasn't feeling well. Took to my bed and woke up Sunday - totally grossed out.

Did I mention to anyone how much of a baby I am when it comes to stomach ailments? I would prefer to have a baby than to be nauseous. This is almost as bad as a gallbladder attach. Anyway, got up a few minutes and am going to head back to bed - and if anyone knows me at all - that means I am totally  - my kids refer to me as the engine that never stops.

I feel the most bad for my furrkids - they wanted a walk so bad but momma was just too sick. Maybe with time change I can managed a walk around the block. We shall see. Later all!

So disappointing.... No stip search?

You are going to get grief on this one!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: You are cracking me up!! Thanks for the laughs and good luck!

Update on my ankle....................tendonitis and 3 weeks of physical therapy says the orpthopeadic. This guys actually knew what he was doing AND he really examined my ankle. The cortison has kicked in and at least I am moving around on it. I am starting a new fashion trend though, a lovely BIG BLACK BOOT on one foot and a nice Aasics riunning show on the other - school kids will love it! Start PT tomorrow and go back to work on Wednesday - I actually miss my kids at school and I know they will be happy to have me back in the classroom. Thanks for all the wonderful wishes from everyone, you guys are sure a great bunch. Can't wait to meet you in August - Oh yeah, did I tell you we are paid in full????

Glad to hear nothing too serious.:goodvibes :flower3:

Seriously M...glad you got the passport situation straightened out! :cool1:

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

M, WAKE up already! You're grumpin' on another beautiful day in paradise!

I woke up this morning early at 5am - my older daughter had a fever again (102-103.5). She also had to go potty too... so after dosing her with med again, using a damp cloth on her forehead and neck the temps dropped to 101 and I fell back asleep. Then at 8:45 we all awoke again and she now had a normal temperature! I believe this is the first dual 98.6 temp reading (both ears - steady over several readings) I've had since last thursday! However, since she did have a fever at 5AM I'll not send her into school.

Gald she is starting to feel better.:flower3: :flower3:

Congrats to him Stace!!:woohoo:

My parents are on yet another cruise and I stupidly offered to keep their dog while they were gone. :sad2:
Very, very sweet dog but he is blind and very old. This means that he runs into everything and he has to go outside every 2 hours- 24 hours a day!!! :scared1: It has only been 2 days and I am already in a coma.
We put much thought in the best place to put him but my house is a landmine. I have no clue how I am going to be able to cope when I start working tomorrow. My Mom swore he would just sleep all day in his bed- ha! Lie #1
Secondly she said he does not make any noise at night. Lie # 2. I realized there was a reason they started keeping him in their pantry- all the way across the house lately.
Next Sunday seems very far away.
I cannot imagine what I am going to do next year when they go on their "cruise around the world" for 4 months. I am sure I will end up in the funny farm.
God love this dog. He is a dachsand and I think around 15. They adopted him from a neighbor that could not afford to give him proper care 5 years ago.
He is blind due to a stroke so unfortunately there is not a surgery or medicine to help him.
Hope it gets easier:hug:

Help me girls! What would you think if I had my dress cut down to more of a column/straight skirt? I have to bring it in for alterations anyway and I thought I'd play with the photo to see what it would look like. Doesn't look so much like a prom dress.

c4aa_1-1.jpg
It looks beautiful either way, but going down stairs and sitting down will be easier in a fuller dress

I just keep telling myself to not compare to DCL - we are going to be very open minded and be determined to enjoy ourselves anyway.
What I heard about the ships that cruise the islands was to consider them floating hotels and not to expect much in the way of service:confused3 As long as the rooms are clean, the ports should make the trip more than worthwhile:thumbsup2 Take lots of pics:woohoo:

At any rate, I just checked my daughters' temperature and she measures perfectly normal! Also her skin temps seem normal too. WoooHooo! Maybe if this is true in the morning then her weekend illness is at an end!!!!

Time fer me ta slip away into the realm of shadowy rest ... blissful dream and wispy mystery. TTFN ...
Hope your family gets better soon:hug:

LIVE from the passport office!

They checked me for weapons on the way in.
Sounds reasonable considering how often they mess with people's travel plans:rolleyes1

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: You are cracking me up!! Thanks for the laughs and good luck!

Great news! I'm so glad that you found a good doctor to help you with this.

I can't multi-quote on my crackberry for some reason - both of those deserved a :lmao:

Sounds like a not-so-bad ending to a medical annoyance. Get well soon :flower3:

Excellent! I was having visions of you going "postal" if things didn't go well (I figured you kept the weapons in the car so they wouldn't be confiscated during the strip search).
