You most likely know I try to help out on the Main cruise boards, and answer some questions there, but in the last couple of nights, I feel like I am being 'shot' down everywhere I go.

Not paranoid, but when you try your best to help some posters are not happy,

One asked for a 'menu's link, I posted one that I knew off, and then another post comes in, ''is it current'' the OP wanted current ones.-Well I think it is?

REAS, try to help on that, and suggested when it comes out for 2009, check the package ensure it hasn't changed, another post back, 'its never changed, spoken to DCL'. Actually it has, rain-forest pass for couples massage for example, booking with DCL direct and Debbie, now on-line.

And the big one, there is a disser who lets say isnt into European cruising, and feels strongly the American family market do not cruise in the Med.

In all the years here, thats the first addition to my 'ignore list'.

Anyway, try to be positive, off to lick my wounds, I feel its time to give up posting on the main forum.

Sorry for rant!

On my other cruise meets threads, I've been "banned" (by my friends) from going to the Main Boards. ;)
Seems like every time I do, someone wants to argue and I nearly get in trouble, because I can't resist a good argument.

It is sad, though, when you're only trying to help.

Sorry I haven't been around. I picked up a nasty, nasty chest cold in Vegas and have been trying to kick it before Disneyland next weekend.

I'm with you, Esteri, I feel like I'm coughing up a lung. :sad2:

We still love you Andrew. I have read some of those responses and was quite put off. :scared1:

PS I miss your monorail.

Thanks for the welcomes. Now I wonder how long it will take me to go back and read all the previous posts......

Wow you are a hard group to keep up with. Especially since my home computer died back in November. Glad I was reading and now know that the cruise is going to cost me $15 more. Makes me glad it is just me as I can dig up $15 even if I have to go panhandling.

Anyone else out here traveling solo? Has anyone ever done a cruise alone? I am wondering how strange it will be having dinner at Palo alone. Also if my server will think I am an alcoholic when I order a wine package.

Being from back east (NE PA) and going to school around Philly - youz guys was frequently used as well as "Where you at?"

Sorry to hear the bug is working its way through this group. I was sick for 3 weeks. Finally started getting better last week. It is brutal. You think you are getting better then it comes back at you. I only got an inhaler - Dr. said not much we can do - everyone has it.

BTW - looking into getting a laptop to replace dead home computer. Anyone out there have any recommendations? I am leaning towards a Dell XPS.

Hi,
I see Monica already posted about the med repo - Yeah - I flew over to Paris then took the train to Barcelona and joined the Magic for the repo to Fla.- on my own. Now having said that - I was lucky to be sailing with friends as Monica mentioned plus I got to meet and get together with those who I "met" here. And as Monica said - I LOVED it. I had the best of all worlds - time just by myself and was invited to join in the fun w/others!!
BTW - as Monical said we are planning both a Wenches Palo Tea and Wenches Palo Champagne Brunch. PM me if you're interested.
With this crew - there's no way you'll be lonely - only alone if and when you choose!!

Good Morning everyone! Unfortunately for us it's not so great, except for the fact that I'm not at work! DD is running a fever 102 last night and now around 100. She also is complaing of a sore throat. I'm hoping it's not streep. Finally got through to the dr and we have a 10:15 appt. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Well we have yet another double digit dump coming our way tomorrow and Sat!:scared1: I really need to move somewhere warm!:beach:

DS7 had strep a few weeks ago. pediatrician said it's running rampant.

:scared1: :scared1:   Don't even try that!!!! Read the first post and maybe read back a few pages to sort of get into the flow, but don't even attempt to read ALL the previous posts :thumbsup2

What happened to "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" . Stacey you take care of yourself. You don't have that long to get better.

Welcome to our group of pirate: s. At least you don't have to go back and read the first 78,000 post that are buried somewhere on a desert island.

I can't believe you still getting all that s***! We're actually seeing signs of spring here. Temps above freezing, snow is melting, we can see grass (yellow & flat grass but still grass) and there is a glowing ball in the sky today.

what is this glowing ball in the sky you speak of ?

I know spring is around the corner, frogs hatched in the pond out back. what a racket.

I'm a couple of days in front of you. Got hit with the high fever last Friday. Wow, did that hurt.

Made a apt with the doc for tomorrow morning. Just to be certain this gunk in my lungs hasn't turned into something more insidious. Probably not, but I keep hearing from my coworkers about the engineer at our AZ facility who got this, contracted double pneunomia and died. DH would just as soon I not get double pneunomia... :sad2:

So, don't push it too fast. I'm not stepping foot in the office until next week. But, I'm set up so I can work from home when I have to. Today (Day 6) was the first day my temp was low enough to even consider going into work.

The good news is that the rest of the family has remained healthy. :thumbsup2

I must have a slightly milder case than your's. My high-fever was Sunday and I was mostly normal by Tuesday. The last couple of days have just been congestion, coughing and really, really tired. I may be running an occasional low fever since every so often I break out in a massive sweat (not cold-sweats, just like I've been really excersizing and all I've done is sit around! :rotfl2: )

I've told myself that if I am still coughing Monday, I'll go see the doctor. If you are up to a week, getting checked out makes sense!

Pamela

Hi Gang,
Julie - wow 4,000 posts - Congrats!!!:cheer2:

DGS Matt has come down with (hopefully) only a cold - but bless his heart he's willing to share w/Grandma!!

pixiedust: & :grouphug: to all the  crew with various and sundry ailments.

Welcome to all just joining or rejoining!!

I've been busy - checked in but no time to post - made mental notes to respond to different posts - but my memory resembles a sieve!

I do remember that I wanted to thank Esteri for the link to the dog pack - years ago when I backpacked I made packs for our dogs - there weren't any available - no way was I carrying dog food for German Shepherds!!

OH - and Julie - great pics of your girls!! They are so beautiful and talented - how proud you must be.

I'm sure there's more - maybe it'll come back to me!!

Guess who I saw today???

See Cheryl, he has pants :lmao:

Today was the 5 year anniversary of the card. They gave us really neat gifts.
A duffle with insulated bottom, blanket, lithograph, some pins and a gift card. Sad to say when I saw the van outside I knew there would be no Mickey Bars. :sad1:
They gave out the rice krispie ones with the chocolate on the ears.

I hate taking pictures.
but they insisted.

I am soooo proud you posted your picture!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :yay:

What???? No treats for Day 1 card members??? Where's the love Chase??

Still, nice that they brought Mickey in for you guys.

I have one of those cards too!!!:rolleyes1

Don't give up on the main forum! I loved the link you sent to magicalkingdoms -- it went immediately to my favorites. You've been a huge source of help and knowledge for me in the main forum and even convinced me to come back to this meet board and try again.

See if Andrew did not steer you here....look at all the friends you might not have met?????:grouphug: :grouphug:

Hello everyone. Just thought I would pop my head in here and say I will also be there along with everyone else here.

Don't be a stranger now!!!:grouphug:

Are you on early or late dining? DS LOVES lobster (yes, I taught him well!) and will give you a run for your money (along with my help) when it comes to eating them!pirate:

Should I tell? If I am late....he will eat all the lobsters before I get there!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I got this last month and it did go to pneumonia . . . so you should get checked out just to be sure.

By the way, this is my 4000th post!!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I am a very generous person except when it comes to lobster!!!:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

John will stand behind me hoarding the lobster!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Around here, the women would put the lobster in their pocketbooks to take home, and ask for another on their plate. (I'm so embarassed to live here)

Guess what I'm eating? Starts with a c and rhymes with bake! :rolleyes1

tiramisu.jpg

My neighbor sent me over some homemade tiramisu & it really goes great with my Dunkin Donuts coffee I'm drinking! :surfweb: Ya sure can taste the Kaluha in this baby! :upsidedow

Edited to add: Gee I wonder why I'm not losing any stones over here???

mmmmmmmm, I love tiramisu
