Like Vista?

I'd rather have the bloated funny guy in my home than the smarmy Mac dude. Every time I see him I just want to reach into the TV and smack him around.

Well...

... after the declines in real estate most of us have had nation wide it might be interesting to calculate what we've lost on a daily or hourly basis (to some extent)....

Seriously, I'll NOT get into that... at least not until I gather financial data on everyone. SO.... if you would be so kind as to just PM... A-N-D-R-E-W your data (or some kind of random numerical mumbo-jumbo) cuz eventually we'll clutter and FILL up his PM box ... and best is if ya' take the random numerical mumbo-jumbo route so as to give Andrew something to muse over. Remember.... he was the one who originally proposed filling MY private message box with Mickey Ice Cream Bar tax questions....

Seriously, every person who PMs Andrew shall be entitled to 1 FREE Mickey ice Cream Bar ... AND .... one FREE Disney Show or Movie while embarked on our sailing. And to the individual who sends Andrew the MOST CONFUSING numerical PM ... determined by popular vote (I'm the only one voting popularly) ... that DIS neighbor shall receive a wonderful digital image of an "exotic" cake. 2nd place and "honorable mention" PMers shall receive digital images of a "surprise" nature.

Thank You in advance to all who contribute to clutterring Andrews' in box with numerical nonsense. ROARING Chuckles and jeers to all who think about doing it but refrain in an effort to maintain a snippet of sterotypical "English" dignity and decorum.

:lmao: Ya think Andrews' lurkin'...? :lmao:

My kids hijacked the Internet and its cable not WiiFi so I couldn't get on, DD wanted MSM, DS, well was looking at Tube maps,

Hope your DD gets better soon, and as to the get of the post...:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao:

I know I was a little naughty with my mickey bar post, and asking people to send you a PM, ( ''sorry'' -your a good sport) best report me to a Mod, :cool1: I will be up to a 100 points by midnight!:lmao:

Now you've got me curious to go see what it was all about.

Don't stop the DIS, just give it a break. Besides, I still plan on posting on this thread (or whatever incarnation we are on) even after the cruise. I've spent the last year or more with everyone here. I don't want to fun to stop just because we've already sailed.

Amen Sista! ;)

No in fact I am sticking my tongue out at you! Too bad you can't see me! :rolleyes1

Diane...

May I offer the royalty free use of one of these in conveying a more substantive impression?

Anyone else out here traveling solo? Has anyone ever done a cruise alone? I am wondering how strange it will be having dinner at Palo alone. Also if my server will think I am an alcoholic when I order a wine package.

I'm also traveling solo... sort of... I'm traveling with friends, but technically I'm solo. Does that make sense? Sorry sneaking in time on the boards while at lunch.... brain is fuzzy from work.
If you don't want to do Palo solo let me know.

I don't suppose anyone can confirm the accuracy (or ommissions present) in this table?

Tin is a chemical element with the symbol Sn (Latin: stannum) and atomic number 50. This silvery, malleable poor metal that is not easily oxidized in air and resists corrosion. It is found in many alloys and is used to coat other metals to prevent corrosion. Tin is obtained chiefly from the mineral cassiterite, where it occurs as an oxide. It can be alloyed with copper to make bronze. The alloys called pewter contain from 85% up to 99% tin.

I have to agree with you, Andrew. That last comment was completely unnecessary. Don't give it another thought. We really appreciate your experience and wit! :grouphug:

ITA too Andrew. What a t**t!

How did I miss peeps in the microwave? I have to try that!

Have you ever thrown a marshmallow into a fire? Must try that with a peep, too....I am scaring myself.

Sadly, DH & DS have tried throwing a peep into a fire (BBQ grill when roasting marshmallows). It is a very, very sad sight :sad1: :sad2: DH is nuts about peeps and inhales them whenever he gets a box. DS also likes them and has learned to hide his or put notes on them like "Dad- don't touch!". :rotfl2:

YES! I so totally agree. :rotfl2: The Mac dude has annoyed me from the start! I don't think it is just my anti-apple bias - that character is just slimy feeling.....

I'm probably totally uncool here - but I don't like Apple. The proprietary everything, locked into just them and will do anything to keep other vendors out just really bugs me. DH won an iPod shuffle a few weeks ago (after I gave him 1 for Xmas - he doesn't have my bias!) so he convinced me to try it. I admit that it is a nicely designed piece of hardware but it is driving me nuts having to use iTunes to put anything on it. It drives me even more nuts that it has to be 1 particular copy of iTunes on a particular PC - I can't be the only person who would like to put stuff on it both at home and at work.... For my old MP3 player, I just plug it in and copy files to it like any other drive - straight forward and portable!

That is why my kids has Zunes and I have a Zen..

Two thoughts for ya', yes, I think you are right, "Discussion Ended" and then another point. But, ya' can't win this one, so deep breath and throw yourself into harrassing Julie on this thread!

That's the spirit! :rotfl2:

It's an Easter tradition in my household that the girls all get Peeps for Easter, even though they don't like them, just so we can blow them up in the microwave. It's strangely satisfying . . .

And don't worry, they also get some Easter candy to consume as well :goodvibes

Hi guys I am still around, the reason for an hour off, is in fact my kids hi-jacked the Internet, and wouldn't allow me on! Anyway I sent a PM to the Mod, just to say my feelings.

I haven't had a response as yet, I didn't want to inflame it by going further, and its best for us to stay within the Dis guidelines so best maybe to drop the subject as now, wouldn't wish to get anyone in any trouble.

But I again thank everyone for their tremendous support, I personally really appreciate it, I would feel that if a thread is closed it should have a neutral position at the end.

GUYS/GIRLS Thanks again.

Just let it go, Andrew . . . really. Take Tom's advice and harass me -- it's much more enjoyable!:lmao:

okay everyone..........just got off the phone with the wonderful orthopedic - its definitely NOT gout. Basically dismissed me and told me to try and walk on my foot even if it is painful, I have a boot on and will protect my foot - ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Never once did he mention that I should be resting, or elevating it. ITS SWOLLEN and RED - HELLO! I am not a doctor and know these things. The cortisone is taking some of the pain away but not enough. At any rate, I have an appt tomorrow with another doctor, I had all my info faxed to him and he is willing to see me on a saturday which tells me he must be a caring individual. Thanks for all your prayers and hugs, they are appreciated.

That is why my kids has Zunes and I have a Zen..

DW has a Zune I bought her last year since she was uncomfortable using her Nano (which I had bought her two years previous) at her office. She loves it.

I have an iPod and I don't really care for the interface or iTunes. But now I am kind of stuck b/c if I buy a Zune, I have to buy a new FM transmitter and new car charger and new alarm **** (since mine has an iPod dock), so I'll probably buy a new iPod.

No offense to all the Mac lovers on here, but I've used both Macs and Windows machines and they both have their issues. I used to be a network admin for a 95% Mac shop and we had such issues with crashes because programs weren't made compatible with OSX.

I have a good friend who is such an Apple fanboy, then I go to his house and he is running Windows on his Mac b/c the games he wanted to play aren't available on a Mac. I don't think any computer is that easy to use.

Wow, there WERE Thin Mints left. And a couple of Samoas and even a Tagalong. (Operative word there was "were").

I guess the kids haven't been eating them because SWMBO made enough birthday cake last weekend to feed 10 kindergarten classes and they've been eating that all week instead.

Do they really say Samoas on the box or do you just call them that, because that's what they used to be called? Much like MGM Studios? I ask because they used be called Samoas here, but now they say Caramel Delites. Is it a regional thing?

Have you ever tried a grapple? I went to buy one at the grocery store to see what it tasted like. Figured it was a grape/apple combo. Thank goodness I read the label because it was actually an artificially grape "flavored" juice infused apple. :scared:

I particulary like the big fat hairy one!

Mickey bar? Sure I guess I can swing one, but you might want to look into Omar's spring collection too if you really get all those Mickey bars you are soliciting. ;)

That's good. I did think it was odd as gout mostly affects men. I guess I'll suffer alone now.
