Oh, it abolutely does, but then add the west to east prevaililing winds/jet stream means we get the benefits of our wonderful congestion/smog and the rest of the countries also.....

I know, just messing with you. I live a 1/4 of a mile away from both the county wastewater facility and a chemical plant. Guess which one I can smell from my house? The chemical plant! We also have a BASF plant on the north end of town, but I don't notice them. The wastewater facility I never smell unless I drive by on my short cut. (In the summer it's really ripe! LOL!) I have even had meetings there and never an oder.

And all the extra time you would have to raid my photo accounts and do more photoshopping.....

NOT! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Sorry, could not resist. I admit I am a pirate: . I really felt bad that you could not see those photos at work and wondering all day what everyone was talking about. I owe you a mug of ale for that.

So after my response from DCL about booking problems that was a form letter (others got same), I asked

Will this also address the fact that DCL will have both ships attempting to book excursions at the same time (I don't believe this has happened before).

Today's response:

Dear Tom:

Thank you for your response.

Please know that we continue to monitor all aspects of our guest booking
patterns and will make future adjustments as necessary.

Thank you again for your enthusiasm and support of our product.

I accept the offer of mugs of ale!

I figured you had been up to no good.....

afternoon! i LOVE sleeping children!! LOL!!
all my little ones are out cold...and our big kids ended up getting out of school early today...i swear it's ridiculous! some days we have so much snow, and they make them go...today there is a little slush and a "THREAT" of icy conditions, so they come home early! ugh! i can't wait for spring....so there are no more school closings, delays or early dismissals.

so question about transferring a ressie to a diff TA...
has anyone done it? i don't think i got any stateroom credit with my existing TA, and i see dreams unlimited is giving $200 per stateroom? is that right? is it worth it for me to transfer it? or do i have to have a new ressie? any thoughts on this?
and i'll ask again about the excursions...(posted yesterday but didn't get any responses)
what type have others done if you just want to see the sights? should we go with a DCL excursion or try to do something on our own? i want my kids to see each port we stop at...and i want them to learn about them too. any ideas? just do city tours? oldest ds will be 10yrs...and my youngest will be 5. i don't want them to be bored, but i want them to experience the ports.

To transfer to Dreams or any other TA, you would have to first transfer your ressier from your current TA, to DCL, then do another transfer to the TA of your choice.

You can get some great tours if you book on your own. On the piratezone I posted some info about a tour guide in Puerto Vallarta. He's great and really knows his city well. I lean towards activity tours so I can't help more than that.

Hey Mike - these are for you. Anything to post pictures and yes - before you ask - the figurines are not attached to the base which kinda sucks when you get a hyper-active dog running around the house -

I love it! But I agree with you that it would be nice if the figures were all attached to the base. Thanks for posting!

:tink: We're paid off too.
Just my cabin, sorry Roger!
Good thing DH never looks at the visa bill! Oh well, 6-months interest free. I was going to have the whole thing paid for before we boarded anyway.

Fly-by Hi,

And I am glad I paid off in full last year.

Possible if lots of people pay in full, maybe they could assign some Stateroom no's?

Yeah, right. Last I heard the WB repo still had a huge GTY cabin.

So after my response from DCL about booking problems that was a form letter (others got same), I asked

Today's response:

blah-blah-fluff-fluff

I have a totally unrelated question.
I am watching Good Morning America and they have a woman on (May Phay?) that was John Lennon's girlfriend in the late 70's.
They kind of said quickly that this was during the time John was having difficulty in his marriage to Yoko Ono. Did I get this right? John Lennon actually moved in and had an 18 month relationship with another woman while he was married to Yoko Ono?
I guess I am so naive. I had no clue someone could actually get away with moving in w/ the "other woman" and then go back.
I really do not like Yoko Ono so bully for John but did anyone else know this happened?

Yep,it's all true!

Thanks for clarifying, I was just worried that DCL bumped him or something. That would be awful!

I just got the email from my Travel Agent about the increase in taxes. But, I can't pay off the cruise right now. I have the money for it in a CD and it doesn't come out until mid May. I just hope it earns enough interest to pay the difference...HA! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Gonna cut it close there kiddo! Pay off is what,May 19th?

Math Alert!!!!

Lets see ...I owe DCl about $6000.00 at 5% interest a year(mine is in a CD)that is $300 a year. The interest for a year is $300 divided by 12 equal $25 a month. I have a little over two months to pay it. I will be earning Over $50 interest for those two months. I owe DCL $5.00 a port x 3 ports = $15.00 times 2 people = $30.00. The interest of $50 minus the $30 in port taxes means I am still $20 ahead by not paying off early!!!! I will not be paying my money early.:grouphug:

We owe the same amount Cheryl. Ours is going to come from stock sales.

has anyone done this...transfer to dcl and then to dreams? we have 2 rooms...so that would be a $400 stateroom credit...pretty good amount of $ in my book! LOL! is it worth the aggravation though? would everything transfer smoothly? we already have a room assignment...would it mess anything up? ugh! i wish my ta would have offered some kind of credit...but we got none...nothing! not even $50!

i did see the tour guide you posted about. i'm thinking about checking into it more. his website looks great!
our problem is that we will want to do activities as a family...and most of the active tours are geared for 10 yrs and up. i need to include my 5 and 8yr olds too! still looking to see what else dcl is offering.

Is anyone else having trouble logging into their reservation on the Dreams Unlimited site? It won't log in (and I really think I have the right password) and it won't email me my password! I've tried emailing the webmaster so hopefully they will be able to fix this - I'm just wondering if anyone else is running into this...

Pamela

if i pay in full today, the extra fees are waived? guess i should read back thru the thread, but the kids are waking up, and i dont have time! wonder if i should get intouch with my ta?

:tink: We're paid off too.
Just my cabin, sorry Roger!

Well, we have one of the cabins paid off. Of course it is the cheaper one! But at least that saves us $30 for the two of us in that cabin.

The thing that really irritates me is that if we decide to add on transfers, then they'll tack that tax on to the paid off cabin, even if we pay for the transfers right then and there. If that's the case, then we'll probably just get a van from one of the towncar services. For 6 people, it's probably cheaper anyway.

g'mornin' pirate:s

I'm not getting sick. I'm not getting sick. I'm not getting sick.
No, really, healthy as a horse. I just went to bed at 8:30 last night. That cured me.

Had to leave work at 1:00 today, bleh.

So now I need to Purell my tongue after catching snowflakes?? Great.

so, did you know you can get intoxicated from purell?

Patience watching fish swim at midnight (3 a.m., whatever) while all the Palo brunch and sea day spa appointments slowly disappear.

Got it. :thumbsup2

.

If you don't work--how are you supposed to pay for the vacations:lmao: :lmao:

Well then, that involves a bit of imagination and ingenuity - OH! And a thing called a Sugar Daddy (and not not the candy) or Sugar Momma whatever the case may be! :lmao: Hey don't knock it til you try it! (Just Kidding Steve - I puckerup: u!

Fixed it!!!

Lovely Family Christina - Now I will be able to remember your name and not look like a fool everytime!

What did you guys DO??? I leave for just three days and you're telling me that I am going to owe DCL more money??

Did you all tick someone off over there???

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yeah well, I've heard your all good at that! As for me.......I COULD NEVER DO THAT - I'm just too nice a person. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Oh Lord - that was my evil, wake-up twin - she was awoken this morning by "our" mom with an early wake-up call. She is not a nice person when she hasn't had her beauty sleep. I'm going to put her back to bed and hope wshe gets up on the right side of the bed - brb.
