SPSPWenches-Only-Posters.jpg

Finally we can stop hearing Cheryl whine about not gettting a pirate: ! Hope John took you out to celebrate. Someplace nice. Like McDonald's or Burger King.

P.S. congratulations Cheryl.

Well made it through my first upper endoscopy and colonoscopy today. :cool1: Talk about you happy pills. Once they shot me with the good stuff (Demerol and Versed) I really don't remember anything. This is a good thing. Everything checked out and I am good for 5 years.

Send a letter to Dave Barry:
"I am so eager for you to do this that I am going to induce you with an Exclusive Limited Time Offer. If you, after reading this, get a colonoscopy, let me know by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to Dave Barry Colonoscopy Inducement, The Miami Herald, 1 Herald Plaza, Miami, FL 33132. I will send you back a certificate, signed by me and suitable for framing if you don't mind framing a cheesy certificate, stating that you are a grown-up who got a colonoscopy. Accompanying this certificate will be a square of limited-edition custom-printed toilet paper with an image of Miss Paris Hilton on it. You may frame this also, or use it in whatever other way you deem fit."

Cheryl my wife is suppose to be one of those nurses that can get an IV in on anyone. If she can hit a vein on a one pound premie then I guess she could get one in on us big people.

A true test of someone's talent- that is for sure. And that is speaking as a mother of a preemie that was stuck 6 times one time for an IV medicine. I just got where I would ask certain people to put in IV for Megan when she needed it.

Nope none of the above! Tonight we used on demand & got "No Reservations" starring Catherine Zeta Jones & my eyes are all swolling and puffy from bawling! :sad1: It was a good one!

I did not realize it was sad. Is it appropriate for an 11 and 8 YO?
:oh. premies...unblical cather...where's our colorado's mother ?
...due to the higher attitude ..reduced birth wts. .however, those
that lacked size..sure were spunky! any baby over 3lbs...never
had any problems. newborns..focus ..used to be on breathing,
& maintaning...body heat. we used to flick the bottom of their feet...
man..they didn't like that..one lil'bit....

here's the plug...pre-natal care= the difference between life and
death..sick & healthy. worth every penny we paid! :thumbsup2

Pre-natal care does not always do it unfortunately. I received extremely good pre-natal care and still no one can tell me why I went into pre-term labor at 20 weeks.
With 2nd DD I was monitored overkill well and same thing happened again w/ no warning, but at 30 weeks instead of 20.

For those having problems with having blood taken I have found a life saver. I have donated blood regurally since I was 18. I used to dread it since it required so many sticks. Well after years someone finally told me a clue. Drink a gallon of water hours before you are going to have blood taken. It plumps up the vein by hydrating it. I cannot believe what a difference it has made!

Well, it is gorgeous here -- I know there are many who don't like the snow, but it is magical out there today. Of course, I'm walking everywhere I need to go today, and I don't have to shovel snow either, so it's really no inconvenience. It's just such a beautiful day . . .

Morning.. well I am hopelessly lost... I try to ketchup but then another day and 10 pages goes by and WHAM I am lost again..

Anyway... happy birthday/ anniversary to all who have celebrated in the past month or 2 and hope everyone who is sick feels better...

Our news - Took Geoff college shopping last weekend, Eric's band was in a battle of the bands thing on Saturday and they have moved to the semi finals, so he will play there again sometime. The locaton leaves a lot to be desired. The club where they played was okay but it is inbetween a tatoo place and a 24 hour, Girls available place. YUCK.. just where i don't want my kid to be!!! Even the Dad of another one of the musicans who has taken the kids into the city .. was very nervous about being there too..

I am very upset at work.. they cut my commission % for 2008 ( just found out last Friday) and my pay will decrease BIG Time in 2008.. just what I wasn't looking for a pay decrease.. and of course my manager didn't say a word.. nothing nada.. no explanation nothing.. no meeting before to give me some spin.. :sad2: so i am in very serious looking for a job mode... went on an interview yesterday...

thats all from this end of the world.. I am gonna try and ketchup a bit and read the last few pages..

Thanks that is great advice

Being one to never pass up a good pirate: t-*****, I found this at one of our local stores, on the waterfront @ Capitola:

The front has the same skull head (small) with Capitola written underneath.

Yes we know about that. He got a script to get it done each month at our lab. We have a tech that never misses with him So that is covered. Thanks for posting the FYI. It does work. They don't have any trouble with my veins as they are right there.:thumbsup2

Oh I loved the first day of snow.I was scanning some pics last night and came across one of a snowman DD made. We had a tradition to make a snowman if we could on the first snow of the season. This was in 81.

pixiedust: on the job hunting.........

Correct me if I am wrong, but did Lil Grumpy say he wants to be linked with you?????

Sorry to bore with old pics, but found this one of Nik on her first encounter with the mouse. Poor thing had just gotten over the flu and everytime she laughed would start coughing again. But she didn't mind as it was a magical time for her. The day before the temps were in the 30's :scared1: and all her pics had her in her down jacket with the hood up The next day it went to the 70's.

Now I need DS to help fix the colors as I am totally lost with photoshop.

Tar-zhay dot com has some really nice dresses in their 75% off clearance on-line...

Many are only $9.99 or $15.99
(ok i did get one that was pricey at $19.99 too :lmao: )

You can return to store if size doesn't work...

I ordered a bunch to try and will return the ones that i don't want.

Lots of pretty strapless ones that could work for formal or semi formal night.

Well, Crash has been busy lately, so here's my version of 7 questions:

1. Toe cleavage, yes or no? Maybe, just between the big toe and the next toe.

2. (From last weeks chat) If you could have a superpower, what would it be? I’d like to be able to teleport myself. Save on airfare!
3. What are three things we would be surprised to hear you never got around to, ever, on your Disney cruise?
-Went to Palo for a wine tasting, but haven’t eaten there yet.
-Didn’t try the Spa
-Didn’t go into the adult pool

4. (Inspired by M and her dream to be Tinkerbell) What Disney character would you want to live the life of? Not walk around the parks dressed as, live the life of. Tinkerbell. OK I know that’s M’s dream, but I’m 5’7”and not petite. I would be great to be able to fly and I love Tink’s feistiness! She’s my hero in my old age!

5. If all expenses were paid, which would you choose: the Grammys, the Oscars or the Nick Kids Choice Awards. Nick Kids Choice Awards, love to see a good slimming! Plus with as much Disney Channel and Nick that dd watches, I know the kid stars better than the adult ones! Yes, I know I need to get out more!

6. If you could go back in time, just once, where would you go and who would you meet up with? My maternal grandmother, besides my dd she is the most fascinating person I’ve known. Great Hungarian cook!

7. When you're thinking about your disney cruise (instead of working) what is your defining vision? Remembering our first cruise, sitting on the family beach on Castaway Cay with dd in the kids club and drinking a banana daiquiri in a souvenir cup at 11:30 AM. Thinking this is the life! Hold on tight…oops, that’s Hannah Montana. But it’s true.

Congrats to Eric! Sorry about the job - good luck on the search, sending lots of well wishes and pixie dust your way.

Here is another pic I had. There was an ice storm in the 70s. We went outside at 3am to take pics but it was a complete sheet of ice on the sidewalk. Had trouble keeping the camera still.Wanted to go back for the tripod but was afraid I'd fall. :lmao: This is the best of them. Poor dogs were slipping and sliding til they dropped the salt on the street.Took forever to get into the city that day.

My Answers:
1. Toe cleavage, yes or no?

no way!

2. (From last weeks chat) If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

teleportation or the ability to clone myself. That way I can work & be a stay at home Mom.

3. What are three things we would be surprised to hear you never got around to, ever, on your disney cruise?

1. never had the cookie dough ice cream on CC
2. never stepped foot in the adult pool
3. never ate lunch in the dining rooms.

4. (Inspired by M and her dream to be Tinkerbell) What disney charater would you want to live the life of ? Not walk around the parks dressed as, live the life of.

Mr. Potato Head, because then I could pack my angry eyes instead of always wearing them.
or Elastagirl, a female role model for our times.

5. If all expenses were paid, which would you choose: the Grammys, the Oscars or the Nick Kids Choice Awards.

Surprisingly for radioclash, it's the Oscars.

6. If you could go back in time, just once, where would you go and who would you meet up with?

I just want to hang out with my Mom one more time. Get some lunch, go shopping.

7. When you're thinking about your disney cruise (instead of working) what is your defining vision?

On our first cruise I took my Dad with us & it was disastrous. (I can laugh at most of it now). I spent most of the 3 day cruise in high stress mode dealing with him. It culminated on the morning of CC. I had a complete meltdown & was barking at my poor kids. At this point, I'm thinking "worst vacation ever". My boys & I had a great day on the beach. By mid afternoon my DS10 and I were laying side by side on rafts in the water holding hands so we wouldn't drift apart. He looked over at me and said "Mommy, this is the best vacation ever. Can we do this next year?" So for me, that defining vision is floating in the Carribean, holding my son's hand, and nothing else in the world matters except for that moment.

Lisa.....your answer to number 7 actually made me tear up....I am such a mush! It was so sweet!

Oh, and I though the cookie dough ice cream on CC was icky. You didn't miss anything. Next time, I'll go with plain ol' vanilla.

My tiara came in the mail today:cool1:
I spent about 5.50 plus shipping, but I like it:goodvibes

6279_1.JPG

Darren sees it and laughs and goes "Where are you going to wear it?".
I tell him on the cruise on formal night and that lots of others are wearing them too.
He says "Are you sure they're not just yanking your chain?"

I tell him No, they posted pictures and everything:guilty:

When you see him on the cruise, just ask him where his tiara is;)

Is your dh from Missouri? ;)
