That must be the woman in all of us - I talk big - but sometimes the sugar wins over the roar.

As for Todds reply - I thought he was just being very Capt Jack! You know - Don't Rock the Boat Baby!

Then again - it could be the Venus in all us women.

Speaking of which - did anyone just have any trouble with DIS the last 10 minutes? Could not open it for anything. Oh well, blame it on the lunar eclipse

I got bumped off too:confused3
Maybe they were fixing something on the DIS:rolleyes:
Or the lunar eclipse works too:confused3

My DS9 has a thing for Rachel Ray. She doesn't come in toothbrush form, but he sure does eat a lot of crackers.

So after more than a year on this thread, I can often predict the reaction to one of my comments...it's just a matter of who!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh great, now she's attracting flies.

At least the Mickey fish doesn't come with a soundtrack.

Rachel Ray - you know they say that kids are often attracted to woman that resemble their mom! Although - she kinda cute! I just can't take her energy. Should be illegal. And I thought I talked fast! :rotfl2:

OH NO! :scared1: Does this mean her rotting carcass is deteriorating? Quick stick her in the freezer to slow down the decay!

GOD let this be the right carcass! :lmao:

WOW:woohoo:
Yup that's what we're seeing:goodvibes

Can you imagine something like a Small World Song for the little fishes to swim to. :scared1:

Oh my, that would be pure torture!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That was almost an issue here too. Every other grade that he had was an A or B. They did a lot of tests, and he was off the charts on a couple things, basically an average kid on most others, but there were glaring deficits in his langauge arts skills. Just because he wasn't failing miserably in multiple subjects, they debated whether or not to give him an IEP. He went through three tiers of interventions, but is still way below where he needs to be with his reading and writing. It seemed like a no brainer to me. But his teacher said that he improved so much that he probably doesn't need one. Luckily, the psychologist, reading specialist, and principal looked a little more closely at his situation.

Mike, Adam was put on an IEP his 1st year of kindergarten, then removed a year later because he was 1 point over the allowed in LA parts. Fought and got him placed back on under medical reason for ADD. He was getting almost 2 hours a day of resource for LA and speech. 2nd grade when it was time to renew his IEP for 3rd grade they wanted to place Adam into a self contained LD classroom--time spent in resource was hurting his math. I let him finish school year there and moved him into another school for 3rd. In one month's time he was down to 40 minutes a day and has continued to flourish in school. (Now maybe flourish is a little strong;) ) But he continues to have his IEP in place--last year he got to sign it himself since he turned 18.

Keep plugging away, our kids deserve to learn and if they need some concessions then so be it.

my whole network signal got dropped..... I had to re-boot to get back on.

I did--didn't think I was ever gonna get that post made.

Everyone have a nice evening. I am tired and I have to drive to Cincinatti tomorrow to pick up some fountain syrup. I have a great sales rep that drives from Dayton and meets me a couple times a year. :)

Tom is just referring to the Disney execs that he e-mailed previously when DCL was going to add $100 to all our fares but then they saw the outcry go up on the boards as this fee was being passed on to us (but not to those who already had paid off their fares.)

DCL removed the fee again about a week later.

DCL was going to institute a special $100 per person tax for going through the PC -- I think they said the PC had imposed it and they were passing on the cost . . . so many people (like Tom!) complained that they changed again and said they would not add the cost to those already booked.

People are going to think I complain a lot!

Can you imagine something like a Small World Song for the little fishes to swim to. :scared1:

Don't give them ideas!

WOW:woohoo:
Yup that's what we're seeing:goodvibes

I can't find my good camera, my cell phone camera is lame:headache:
Thanks Tom and Cheryl for the pics:goodvibes
My family is all asleep and I'm the only one on my street watching the eclipse:confused3
Thanks to your pics I'll be able to show the kids what they missed tomorrow.

It was so funny- I get the whole family out of bed to look at the eclipse and almost all of my neighbors are out too. :)
It was really cool to see but it is kinda cloudy here so it looked like the moon was just behind the clouds.
We have in the low 70's here so at least we were not freezing watching it.

I am saying to myself....I am not the least bit jealous of low 70's!!! :lmao: :lmao:

my whole network signal got dropped..... I had to re-boot to get back on.

Full Moon!!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Okay...........I like your pictures much better than ours!!!

The only thing you can do, is put credit on your stateroom account and then use it onboard to pay the tips.

That's exactly what I want to do but how? Bearing in mind, I don't want to be making any really expensive long distance calls to anyone? Can I do it on the DCL website or through my TA?

Okay everyone, I'm asking for you all to send some pixie dust my way today - I have a job interview at 2 and I am really hoping that it works out. Let's just say that after the talk with my doctor
yesterday, I really need to change my stress level. Thanks!

Hope it works out for you.

Thanks for doing that Tom, but their response was ridiculous. There are outside forces that are beyone their control? Really? They can't stagger the times or come up with some kind of solution? They can build theme parks & ships, but they can't come up with a suitable computer program? :confused3

According to one of the WBers, the IT dept is outsourced :scared1:

:scared:

Oh I feel for them! I really do! :sad2:

Thank you for your :grouphug: It was a difficult day. Ironically, DH called yesterday to see how she was doing and was shocked to have her sister answer the phone. First bad omen. BIL was very vague about it as well. Now we know why. It was something she had been fighting for upward of 6 years now. The last year being the worst. DD has a friend who works for OCC and he made the arrangements for the hotel and is picking her up within minutes at JFK.He told her they took care of the hotel :goodvibes I hope she brought warm clothing.....She is now on her way to the hotel with her friend.

What is wrong with the boards???? I tiried to open another site and get this page

did anyone say they were updating???

You all were very chatty today. :lmao: I have too much ketchup so here is the quick version. That and the server was having issues.

Paula glad to hear that Adam is OK.

Lorri fingers are crossed for your new job before you get to like those happy pills to much.

Arlene, you and Rich will be in our thoughts and prayers. :grouphug:

Liz good luck on the wedding. We all missed you.

Mike congrats to your DS. :cool1:

Well made it through my first upper endoscopy and colonoscopy today. :cool1: Talk about you happy pills. Once they shot me with the good stuff (Demerol and Versed) I really don't remember anything. This is a good thing. Everything checked out and I am good for 5 years.

Res ispa loquitor ...

Isn't that Latin for "Where is the liquor store?"

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thanks Diane & Lisa. It went well. DS will go to the resource room for help with his reading and writing. I'm really proud of him, because his writing grade went from an F in the first marking period to an A in the second! We're working really hard, he's obviously working really hard, and the extra support at school can only help even more.

It's always a good feeling when you can show your kids that with the right tools, they can be successful. Tell your son congratulations.

I laughed out loud when I saw that. I already have the screen saved so I can make a door magnet of the Mickey head fish.

A fish head door sign??? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: How totally appropriate for this cruise.

They have a bunch of that exact stuff at Star Wars exhibit

DS10 played around with that, not technologically advanced enough for him. You know, it's real hover boards he's interested in, not legos !!!

Well, Crash has been busy lately, so here's my version of 7 questions:

1. Toe cleavage, yes or no?

2. (From last weeks chat) If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

3. What are three things we would be surprised to hear you never got around to, ever, on your disney cruise?

4. (Inspired by M and her dream to be Tinkerbell) What disney charater would you want to live the life of ? Not walk around the parks dressed as, live the life of.

5. If all expenses were paid, which would you choose: the Grammys, the Oscars or the Nick Kids Choice Awards.

6. If you could go back in time, just once, where would you go and who would you meet up with?

7. When you're thinking about your disney cruise (instead of working) what is your defining vision?

See ya after work !!
