I looked on the Pirate website. My DD will be just shy of 9 when we cruise, so she's a little younger than your DD. They won't be in the same group in the lab. But I'll bet if we're at the pool at the same time, Hailey will be talking your DD's ear off! My DD also takes hip-hop dance classes. She just started this fall but really enjoys it.

I think they will like each other! My dd is a real talker too! Hey, we could sit back and see who can out talk who! :rotfl: And she loves the Mickey pool! DD also takes Pom Pon lessons at her dance school, this is the 3rd year. Guess what they are doing their routine to? "Hey Mickey, Your So Fine, Hey Mickey!"

I thought you seemed familiar!!!!

I showed Hailey the posts and she is looking forward to meeting your daughter on the TOAL! She'll love having someone to talk to while waiting in line for the Mickey slide.

We're going to the Fredneck rink next Sunday for a game. Are you guys up for lunch or early dinner?

Which Sunday? 23rd or 1st?

I'm trying to work around a dog show this Sunday. Can you say we have over 160 Bernese Mtn Dogs entered at the fairgrounds for our two day specialty? and yes most of them are almost as big as Abby (100 lb range although most males are bigger (although most not as tall as Abby; She's our "freak".)

But i might be able to work around your time if it is Sunday. Do they have a spectator rate if i wanted to come watch (ie freeze my butt off)?

This Sunday 2/23. The game is 2:30-4ish. We need to be at the rink by 2 to gear up.

"Spectator rate," are you kidding? Anyone willing to watch 9-year-old hockey gets in free. Or more to the point, anyone wiling to watch 9yo hockey has most likely already spent more than $1,000 for a season of such privilege.

If meeting for lunch/dinner doesn't fit with your schedule, no biggie. It's not like it's the only chance we have to meet up.

hee-hee: just realized that my hockey players are smaller than your dogs!

Abby almost weighs as much as a small adult, M.... She's 116 lbs. Funny thing is she is so tall that she does not look overweight.

She is good at skidding. Hmmmm and pretty good at cross checking too. Think they make blades for dogs? She's love to play with a stick. :rotfl:

Actually Lunch or dinner might work out. Might be just dd and me though if dinner. DH is suppossed to be taking one of the judges back to BWI around 5ish.

There's a couple restarurants not too far that are ok. Glory Days Grill is two exits down (off the 7th st exit of Route 15). They're service is hit or miss but food is pretty decent and not too expensive. Bonefish is there too but $$$$.

Right near the rink is a 5 guys Burgers, a Panera, and some kind of Italian Place (Mama Lucia's i think?)

Kristina.....I sent a pm to you about a 3 weeks ago. My private message says you never opened it ..:confused3 Can you open it please.:flower3: :flower3:

I learned my lesson about beagles when I had my first beagle, many years ago (he died when I was pregnant with my third daughter, who is now 10) . . . he got out of the house we were renting on Cape Cod and ran like a crazy thing . . . luckily I thought to go and open the car door and say "Do you want to go for a ride?" which he knew and liked -- once I had him in the car he was trapped!

The quinceanera is a Latina thing in general, but may be getting more widespread in popularity . . . once marketers figure out a way they can make people spend more money, they usually go after it big time.

When Chloe took off after Isis - that is the way I had to bring her back - my door squeaks - she heard it turned her head while running and saw Isis in my car and ONLY then did she turn around.

Marketers definitely dropped the ball around here on this part!

Quincewhatever is sorta like the Hispanic version of Sweet 16. Sort of like sweet 16, and bar/bat mitzvah, the tradition has given way to insanity during the last few years.

Insanity and jsut plain stupidity. I can see spending all this on a wedding but this? :sad2: Your getting the same old cake and 2 parties from us!

Many people go into hock to present their daughters but then tthose with extended families ask one couple to be a sponsor and that is how it gets paid. They have sponsors of the flowers, the gown, the limo, the shoes, the bag, the Church, etc.

Anything to offset the cost. Not all of us hispanics are totally dumb - just crafty!!!! :thumbsup2

(No harm was intended to offend anyone out there - just my attempt at humor! :flower3: ) :rotfl:

Woo Hoo......on 2 counts.

I knew you'd make it in to Captain's Dining though. It was just a matter of time.

Good Morning All

Thank you (as always)for the newsletter, Tom

No way I can ketchup - I hope everyone is doing well. Happy Birthday to all I have missed and welcome to all newcomers to the thread!!!

Roger - Hope the folks are feeling better :flower3: . I ended up with that stomach cooties a few weeks ago and it kicked the carp out of me for a few days. NO FUN at all.

My surgery went well last week and will know for sure on Thursday just how well when I go for a follow up and results of the pathology report will be be available (fingers crossed).

I am off to pack for an overnite stay in the Berkshires. I really don't want to go but am feeling really guilty because I was supposed to go skiing this week for school break with my neighbor. I had to cancel my condo when it became clear my surgery would be too close to the date so she is left up there alone with 3 ST's :scared1: . I must rescue her for at least one night. I am supposed to leave by 9AM, but since I haven't packed a thing yet and *my* ST is still in bed - that ain't happening. No skiing for me this year, but at least I can watch them from our condo :sad1:

Have a great rest of the week everyone.

I am starting to get the feeling back in my fingers (funny the things you just take for granted  ) so I might even be able to make chat, finally, on Friday. It takes me so long to type something that makes any sense I would be groundhog-ing all thru chat.

keeping my fingers crossed for you too.

yes Cheryl i read your email....

I was waiting to hear back from ****. Haven't heard anything but i imagine their currently busy with the WB group.

I will forward an e-mail to Tom. (satan bacon)

Chrissie, that's great news. :woohoo: :woohoo:

God i am such a loser....

So here i sit ketching up on the DIs and do you know what i'm listening to?

Radio? Nope

DIScast? Nope

Ipod? Nope

I'm listening to our county's Board of County Commissioners Meeting.

(what a dork  )

But it is important as they are holding a public hearing on a building moratorium for the county which kinda affects my job.

Full Lunar Eclipse happening tomorrow night between 10 & 11 pm.
Rare occurance. Best viewing will be in the Northeast, if the clouds clear enough.

Just letting you know, in case you want to wake the kiddies. (or in case you have reason to duck & cover during the full lunar eclipse... bat boy & his Mom ??? )
