Ok here's one of the 3 of them.

Anybody bored yet? I can keep going.

Dang - got caught by the 40 second rule! :lmao:

I would love to lead a bike ride around the island. It was a lot of fun. The only downside is that it gets extremely hot once you leave the water. Without riding hard you work up quite of sweat by the time you are done.
A bike ride in August, in the Caribbean,... it's gonna be hot and sweaty, but fun:thumbsup2 Plus gives us an excuse/reason to plop on the beach with a fruity drink afterwards:cool1: I'm in:woohoo:
Do you sign up for bikes in advance or when you get to CC:confused3

G'mornin' pirate:s

I spent last night making "dessert sushi" from rice krispie treats, white chocolate, fruit by the foot and chopped up gummy worms. Our Asian-themed Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet is Wednesday. Turned out pretty cute ifIdosaysomyself.

MMM sounds good:goodvibes I'm not a sushi person, what did they look like ?

There are several great rail-trails in our area. By their nature they are flat (less than 3% grade). Heck you could ride from DC to Pittsburgh on a trail if you wanted to...but who wants to go to Pittsburgh?

Just plug your zip code into this site: www.traillink.com

This is a nationwide site, but not all trails are GPS mapped yet, especially on the west coast, so some are just listed with trailhead locations.

Thanks for the link:goodvibes The kids got new bikes this past summer and we kept planning to go on a good trail, but something always came up:rolleyes: My DH is a big fan of George Washington so I'm sure he would love the Mount Vernon trail. Now I just have to get his bike fixed so he'll leave mine alone.

From reading the westbound thread, a number of people who paid in full that day were getting "you need to be paid in full before making reservations" messages.

Might make paying at 95 days a good idea????
Some folks got that message even when they had paid in full in advance:sad2: I read where someone said to log out and log in again and that solved the problem:confused3 Paying up in advance (by at least a few days) is a good idea in case something goes wrong:thumbsup2

Good Morning All
My surgery went well last week and will know for sure on Thursday just how well when I go for a follow up and results of the pathology report will be be available (fingers crossed).

I am off to pack for an overnite stay in the Berkshires. I really don't want to go but am feeling really guilty because I was supposed to go skiing this week for school break with my neighbor. I had to cancel my condo when it became clear my surgery would be too close to the date so she is left up there alone with 3 ST's :scared1: . I must rescue her for at least one night. I am supposed to leave by 9AM, but since I haven't packed a thing yet and *my* ST is still in bed - that ain't happening. No skiing for me this year, but at least I can watch them from our condo :sad1:

Have a great rest of the week everyone.

I am starting to get the feeling back in my fingers (funny the things you just take for granted  ) so I might even be able to make chat, finally, on Friday. It takes me so long to type something that makes any sense I would be groundhog-ing all thru chat.

Glad the surgery is over:yay: Take it easy so you can heal up:hug: I'm a lousy typist:rolleyes: I have to look at the keyboard and miss quite a bit too:lmao:

Brooklyn, Holbrook L.I., Longwood Fl.
:cool1: Lots of ex-New Yorkers:goodvibes
You know you can only go back to NY to visit:rolleyes1 If you ever move back to NY there's a tax law that says they can tax your income while you were gone, no matter how long:headache:

I am not really bored, just being lazy.:rolleyes1

See I'm bored and lazy:rolleyes1

This one is of my oldest dd Megan - left side- she's 20 - will be 21 in July - notice how the girl is taller than her - the girl on the right is a player - a sophomore and she's bending down. :rotfl2:

DD hates when I point that out - she got the "short end of the family stick."

Anyway - she was being anti-social & wouldn't take any pictures for me - until one of the players came along and helped me out. DD- Megan was asst coach. And the shortest one out there.

Ok - here's one of my youngest - April shot on Friday, on Seal Beach in CA.

This was shot about 4 pm and was shot on the Olympus 770SW in Beach/Snow mode. It catches movement pretty good assuming you snap the shot just before the height of the jump. IOW, when I counted to 3 - I snapped the picture while she was still on the ground and when it closed the shutter she was at her highest.

I was laughing because a couple of the girls couldn't figure out how to jump.

I did say they were all freshman right? Might explain the diztyness.

That is a nice action shot! I am horrible at the timing part--I move mine to burst mode and just keep the button pushed and then delete accordingly.

I will forward an e-mail to Tom. (satan bacon)

Thanks!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Full Lunar Eclipse happening tomorrow night between 10 & 11 pm.
Rare occurance. Best viewing will be in the Northeast, if the clouds clear enough.

Just letting you know, in case you want to wake the kiddies. (or in case you have reason to duck & cover during the full lunar eclipse... bat boy & his Mom ??? )

I think there is a full moon tonight.......right???:rolleyes1

God i am such a loser....

So here i sit ketching up on the DIs and do you know what i'm listening to?

Radio? Nope

DIScast? Nope

Ipod? Nope

I'm listening to our county's Board of County Commissioners Meeting.

(what a dork  )

But it is important as they are holding a public hearing on a building moratorium for the county which kinda affects my job.

Important.....you need to find out you still have a job for the TOAL.:thumbsup2

OK this is sad - I am talking/lurking to myself on all 4 threads! I have got to get a real job - NOT!

Somebody slap that woman! (me) Must of been a moment of insanity - today was yucky here in SoCal - had grey and light drops and just that droopy ugly feeling. Didn't feel like doing ANYTHING which really made the girls ( :dog2:) nutso. Guess I'm just gonna have to go to the gym later.

Maybe I should eat? :scratchin

Naw - maybe I should go shopping?

Naw -this means I have to :drive: and I don't like to :drive: at night.

OK - anyone else as :bored: as I am?

You know Laura..... you can always kill a few hours talking to me on the phone.:lmao: :lmao:

WANT TO DINE WITH THE CAPT or the CREW?

Want to join other pirates for dinner? We are spearheading linking together a large group for Capt’s dining (Early) and for Crew dining (Late). I’m pretty sure we have enough people at Capt’s dining to even fill a whole dining room!!!How cool would that be.

Anyway, in order to accomplish all this….We need your help and some info.

First the easy part: (Your Info)

Note that this info stays with ONLY your PIRATE Dining Coordinator/Wench and ONLY gets shared with DCL Dining Reservations staff when we make our request.

I have volunteered to co-ordinate Capt’s Dining. If you are in capt’s dining, please send your info in an e-mail to me at goofyforlife @ yahoo.com

Cheryl has graciously volunteered to co-ordinate Crew Dining. If you are in crew dining, please send your info in an e-mail to her at micmsecheryl @ yahoo.com

If you are on a dining rotation and are on a wait list. Please let us know….. On previous cruises we were able to get people changed since they were with our group.
Send your info to the rotation you are currently on but let us Dining Wenches know where you are waitlisted to.

Please note that we will try our best to arrange pirates accordingly but be aware that the tables do rotate around the room each night. (ie you will always be near others in your dining station (ie same wait staff) but the next station over may differ from restaurant to restaurant) BUT WHO CARES WE’RE ALL A SCURVY BUNCH!!!!!

Please include the following info in your email:
Subject line : TOAL CAPT’S DINING REQUEST or TOAL CREW DINING REQUEST

DIS ID:
PARTY SIZE:
CABIN #: (if you are currently gty give us your ressie # and then let us know room # as soon as it is assigned.)
KIDS AGES:
Special Requests:
Want one large table or will two smaller tables work or maybe you want to dine alone.
Find people with kids the same age or are you looking for adults only conversations?
Waitlisted? For which sitting?

NOTE: If you have are co-ordinating for multiple cabins we need both cabin #’s (again only for DCL Dining). Also note that I do not believe we will be able to make requests for specific waitstaff or rotations.

DCL has not decided as of yet whether they will have one sitting for each time or the 3 sitting like currently on the Magic. We as a group will be asking for either 6pm for Capt’s Dining or 8pm for Crew Dining.

PS: WE CAN EVEN TAKE REQUESTS FOR CRASH'S GROUP OF 30 (you guys can have your own wait station.

PPS TOM31b PLEASE PUT THIS ON FIRST PAGE AND ON PIRATE WEBSITE....

This means we are starting to actually plan again!!!!:woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: :dance3: Time is getting closer to the TOAL.:cheer2: :cheer2:

Mr. Satan Bacon please

Mr. Bacon....Sir Satan..... I am sending you a private e-mail.:rolleyes1

That is a nice action shot! I am horrible at the timing part--I move mine to burst mode and just keep the button pushed and then delete accordingly.

Believe it or not Paula - I didn't even have burst mode on my previous point and shoot. I'm just tickled pink upon finding this option on the smaller ones. And I now have a 2nd option - I can burst shoot and pick up to a couple of shots! I like camera surprises! :rotfl:

DD hates when I point that out - she got the "short end of the family stick."

I know all about the short side of the stick--I'm glad Adam took after Alan's family. Your dds are beautiful Laura.:goodvibes

I really need to spend a couple of days just playing with my camera, I know IT is capable of way more than I am using it for.

Everyone have a nice evening, talk to you all tomorrow.:goodvibes

Let me know if you ride Mount Vernon. George is a neighbor. :) Seriously, I'm about a mile from his driveway.

Love the photos Laura! DD20 looks just like you!

THANK YOU THANK YOU Cheryl and Kristina! I'm so glad that soemone more organized than me is taking this on.

Done, website and first post. Whoever starts #4 is going to have to add all the stuff I have in first post to their post (I will send the code....)

Short end of the family stick. I love it!

Let's see...
Dad 6'1"
Mom 5'9"
DB30 6'1"
DB25 6'2"

ME 5'2"

At least my kids have a fighting chance. DH & the rest of his family are about the same heights as the rest of my family.

But if you were 5'9", you would never have a shot at shrinking enough to be Tink!

Oh my, you have got to be joking! That is ridiculious:scared1:

They got me once, I'm not moving back ...ever:sad2:
Lawyer told me it was cheaper to pay the tax than fight it:confused3
Darren's grandfather cut out a newspaper article to show me that others have been hit a lot worse. Some gone 10 years came back and they taxed they for income out of state:sad2: This was back in 1990's ,so maybe they changed it:confused3

OK OK - you win!

But it does sound like my family -

DH - 6"
Me - 5'4" (hey I need that 1/4 inch)
DS - 6'2"
Megan - 5' 1"
DD - 5'5" and still growing - figure she'll grow another 2 inches before she's done. She's only 14! wearing a size 9 1/2 shoe!

DS has an uncle that is 6'4". Guess he got it from "that" side

I place a vote on the table that we let Sir Satan Bacon start the next thread?
