Mark let Laura know we are thingking about her. And sending pixiedust: that she feels better soon.:)

I am not quite among the living yet. I have a three kleenex box cold. This is how I judge my colds on how many boxes of kleenex(Puffs) I use.:lmao: :lmao: This was a reallly bad one.:sad2:

Tom...Just wanted to say top notch newsletter as usuual.:worship: :worship: :goodvibes

Here is the picture of my CJS figure I picked up at disney store yesterday(plus a few other things). The statue sold for $124.50 and I paid $27.10 with the 15% coupon. This will be used to decorate my pirate themed bedroom when I move down to Florida!!:thumbsup2

I thought our posting would increase and not decrease once we got closer.
I, for one, thought my working long days were over- but apparantly not.
The carrot that got dangled was an extra paid day off and a pretty good bonus if my team got a project finished by the end of the month. The day off is because of our TOAL. Even though I get 5 weeks off a year I am in a panic since the TOAL takes 2 weeks in one fail swoop. I have managed to accummulate 2 extra days already so I am sure I will be fine.
The downside is it is a project that every other team has failed to get done in the last 6-9 months.
We are theoretically the top of the food chain but it is quite daunting. I will make sure that we get it done but I am dreading the next 2 weeks.
So yal behave and someone PM me if I miss anything important.:)

Coral

Good luck Coral:goodvibes

I told folks in chat, but figured everyone else would be interested too.

DS went back to school this week. :cool1:
And lasted all day, every day. :cool1: :cool1:

He was in school more this week than he has been in the last 2 months.

He's in an awesome class now. Only 7 (maybe 8) kids. One teacher and 2 aides. They kids are all working at their own level, so no trying to keep up wth the rest of the class. The teacher starts off each day with a Life Skills session. She checks in with each person to see what their emotional state is. And she works on skills for anger management, socialization, etc.

The kids earn points throughout the week and Friday is always an easier day than the rest. They can spend their points for little trinkets or save up for bigger ticket items like no homework or computer time. They also spend points throughout the week if they misbehave or curse in class.

We're hoping to get him caught up so he doesn't have to repeat the grade. Since his curriculum is individualized he won't have to do a ton of repetition work. He'll just have to do enough to show that he understands the concept being taught. So it won't take as much work to get him to the level he needs to be at.

We're still dealing with other issues. But at least school is no longer the biggest issue.
That is so good to hear Monica:woohoo:

OH OH OH! Did I tell you I managed to snag an open box Olympus 790SW from Best Buy for $180? Its usually $300 but someone in the dept was tired of seeing it and put it up on clearance. Had a small problem with the battery and when I when back the following day - the store manager was pissed that it had been marked down so much. Apparently - it was below their cost. So I got a replacement battery for $20 after making a big stink about how BB should have checked if the battery worked or disclosed it. I mentioned bad faith and words like that and seems I got a replacement battery for free and another one for $20 (usually they run about $50). Guess it pays to be persistent. I originally bought it to give to my niece but it found a home in my drawer. Its the waterproof one up to 10 ft so when my hand is tired of carrying such a big camera - I can use my point and shoots - the 770SW and the 790SW. BTW, in March Olympus will come out with a 1030SW - drop proof from 6 ft with a 10.1 megapixels and waterproo up to 33 ft like the 770. So those wanting a fairly decent point and shoot might want to wait until then. In talking to the guy in the camera dept - he says many stores will probably want to get rid of their 770 and 790 inventory for this one. The 1030 will run about $400. So my suggestion - check them out.

Oh and the camera works wonders! So easy to change the picture modes. I like it already! :thumbsup2

OK enough camera talk for now - sorry - didn't mean to go off - I just get so excited. :yay:
I was looking into buying a waterproof camera for the cruise (I think the Olympus 770). I'll wait till March now. Thanks:thumbsup2

So glad the thread was relatively quiet for the past 2 days. I was dreading a long catchup.

Love the newsletter Tom:lovestruc

Give Laura our best too!

I know what you mean about winter - it is a nasty grey day here today, snow showers in the forecast. Stay safe!

Thanks so much for posting the link, Erin. Hard to believe we'll be there again this year. Truely a special place. The countdown is definitely on in this household. :cool1:

When I posted the news story link, I didn't realize that it was a prize thru GMA - wonder if there is still a YOMD Castaway Day to be won?

Its still listed in the catalog and I didn't see it listed on the YOMD page as being won yet.

Mark...I hope Laura gets better soon! We've all been fighting it off here. DS seems to have it the worst, but still it isn't really bad.

I wonder where they took that picture for the Castaway Cay day?
And I wonder if the fellow dressed sort of like a Captain is the skipper of the yacht that takes the family to Castaway Cay.
And I wonder (I am SO full of questions) where they get on the yacht that takes them there? The only thing I can think is that they get on it in Nassau.
:confused3 :confused3

AND....I wonder if I could even DREAM of winning something like that for YOMD........:worship: :worship: :worship:

I'm either full of questions, full of wonder, or full of ****.

These are pictures of our day out in Connecticut with friends yesterday -- Linus got to have a blast chasing balls off leash and the kids got to sled until they were exhausted . . .

Have they opened up 8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #4, and not told us, no one has been around for days?

Or am I on the 8/17/08 Wonder thread again?

Sssshhhhhhh, everyone -- don't you dare tell Andrew about our secret thread!:lmao:

Julie, looks like you all had a ball!

We did -- my poor city dogs only get to be off leash in a dog run in the park, except for a few weeks in the summer when we go to the beach -- as much fun as I had, and as much as I know the kids liked being there, I really felt the happiest for the dogs!

I knew you all had gone somewhere, must be for my surprise party.

Nice pictures.

Mmmmm -- sure! Yes! A surprise party for you -- that must be it!:rotfl2:

Thanks -- I took the first one, plus about 40 more of the dogs and/or the kids, and my oldest daughter took a bunch of me playing with Linus, which included the second two.
