Glad to see you are back Barbara. I got A DVD from the villages but I still have to watch it.

You'll just have to come down to check it all out for yourself. It's a little hard to believe when you see it. They call this place the Pleasure Island for the 55+ group.

I would consider whatever is easier to get to the port. I have the Marriott at Lax booked and DCL transfers. I am coming in on Saturday morning. Have you figured out how to get to Doubletree from LAX??? I would be willing to switch.

Right now we are considering either using super shuttle (we used them in 06 when we visited DL) or renting a car and driving down along the coast. Not sure yet what we will do.

Why yes. I was on the Metro.
We saw a great Caps-Rangers game. Caps won 23 seconds into overtime.
Scotty Gomez, Alaskan who plays for the Rangers, saw our flag and new there were Alaskans in the house.

I don't think I will be booking any of the DCL excursions, it has been fun researching and planning them on our own or a as a group. Also, the 1st time I ever done excursions this way. But I do want a Palo ressie.

Palo and spa ressies in less than 2 hours...that's all I'm asking for!

Other cruise lines allow you to book as soon as you are paid in full, and Norwegian allows you to book at any time after the intial deposit.
I think DCL should let people book excursions and such as soon as you are paid in full. DCL's method of 90 days for repeaters, etc is awful. They DO know that this board, and others like it exist, and they DO know that they are going to get flooded....and they DO have the money to make a change in their system. There's no excuse for it.

OMG! WB is on Part 4! And you all thought we talked a lot!

I'm sure 4000 or so posts were the lead up and attempt to book excursions, etc. I think we had something like 2000 posts on booking day!

As many of you know, my dream WDW job is Tinkerbell. I want to fly to Tomorrowland during Wishes every night in a light-up costume! (2nd choice is the spinny bird lady in Festival of the Lion King)

I was crushed a few years ago when I found out that the height requirement was 5'1" - I'm 5'2".

Anyway - you folks on the 1pm PV zip line are in for a treat. Just wait until I show up in a glowing ferry outfit!

Seriously, I am definately getting a Tink tank top for the occasion and DH is threatening to buy me the wings they sell for the little girl costume.

Stace - thought I'd give you some kudos. I've been "talking" to some friends about The Escaping Moms and how you all make it a yearly thing to go on vacation together. Well, just found my own group of escaping moms.

In 2 years - two of the group will be turning 40 and they want to celebrate in a memorable way. They want to go to Italy. Since, DH put on my cell phone as intro - Hello - you are trying to reach Laura E...... World Traveller...at the beep, please leave a message..... they said that by default I am in charge of the details and where to stay. 2 weeks sans kids and spouses as one of the spouses did not want to leave their kids behind. So she promptly said - ok - we'll go without you. Just women - so here's to my group of Escaping Moms!
