Howdy gang...

Drive by posting, which is what I'm gonna be limited to until life settles down. Got a job, lost a job, got another one. Mike decided to leave the TSA & go back to construction and starts on the 11th. DD is a little freaked out by all the changes (including going back to school 5 days a week) and has been something of a brat, but life goes on and will settle down in a while.

Sara, hope you are liking your new job. Good luck Mike with your changes too:goodvibes

Good morning!

Hey TOM I think the thread breakdown you suggest looks pretty good..like others said though we need one to learn about each other and banter....it has been fun chatting with everyone!

Chrissie

1) What port are you NOW looking forwad to most for our upcoming TOAL?

Cartegena

2) What shore excursion/ashore diversion are you looking forward to most on our upcoming TOAL?

I haven't really thought about it yet, but I really want to see the cliff divers

3) What has been the nicest/most memorable posting/message/thought that you've found on this new thread?

Just the friendliness and support

4) Do you have a cabin assignment yet?

6507

5) What did you have fer your most recent meal? Details please.

Smoked sausage and fried potatoes (DH cooked last night) and I don't eat breakfast

6) What are you looking forward to seing/doing most (off hand) ON the ship?

Sitting by the pool with a cool drink and a good book

7) Given a choice... and you HAD to make ONE of these two choices... would you take a cabin catagory HALF as expensive and sail twice as long or ... would you trade up o a nicer cabin that costs TWICE as much but sails for HALF as long? You have to choose one... or you have to MAKE up a really ENTERTAINING alternative reply!

Since we are at the low end already, I would take a suite for half the time. .

Hello everyone!

We wanted to introduce ourselves, myself (Michele), husband (Mark) and daughter (Nicole - 12 at cruise time). This will be our third Disney cruise and we have been booked, through DU, since Day One -- although at the premium price. In the end, just glad that we did get a Gty Cat 6 and will wait to see where we will call home for a lovely 15 days.

Our flights are booked, via Buffalo, hotel night before booked, through Hotwire, one night after NOT BOOKED and just waiting for the go ahead to pack.

My thanks in creating a wonderful and informative thread. It has been a joy to read and I look forward to meeting you on the ship.

Michele

Welcome Aboard:goodvibes

I've been in the same vicinity as 43 twice now. Other than that, the closest I've been was in HS. Our HS band got to entertain the crowds waiting for Reagan to show up-I was on the dance team. We performed in the freezing cold for 3 hours in order to have the honor of watching his limo go by.

Whenever the Presidents come to Louisville. They always pass by my Shell station. I always get out there and wave as they speed past(and I mean speed!). Their visits always basically shut my business down to everything except pedestrians for awhile too basically for about 30 minutes before the motorcade .

Since we're all friends here I figured I could share a bit with all of you. My wife just forwarded this 'joke' to me at work. I usually start getting these kinds of jokes sent to me just before a holiday to help me remember to be a good husband. I guess I'll be calling the local florist and placing my order early.

If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it was and always will be yours.

If it never returns, it was never yours to begin with.

If, however, it just sits in your living room, messes up your stuff, eats your food, uses your telephone, takes your money, and never appears to have noticed that you actually set it free in the first place, you either married it or gave birth to it!

I saw that site while I was looking for info. This is where I first began to think that Nikki Beach might be too "hip" for me. ;)

Lisa....I know that "punk rock girl" is still in there somewhere! :goodvibes

See ya, thread part two. It's been nice to know ya. By the time I get home, you too will have left me. Just like thread part one.
I know, I know, it's not you. We just can't help ourselves. You're too much fun.

Lisa....I think you already suspect this, but the thread IS seeing other people.

That's no joke . . . it's just the truth . . .:thumbsup2

That's right, no one can claim to have an exclusive relationship with the thread . . . it really gets around, but that's what we love about it!:goodvibes

In my case- gave birth to it. Leticia "The Wonder Maid" left 2 hours before the girls got out of school and they have already managed to mess all kinds of stuff up. :sad2:

Many thanks for the replies and greetings.

Just as an fyi - I just called Disney Cruiseline and asked about a shore excursion in Puerto Vallarta. The CM told me that they do not have the shore excursions for PV listed yet!! UGH! After I informed her that the website has had them listed for a while, she put me on hold for a few minutes, came back on and just said, "So what is your question?". My question was only to find out if our daughter does the Trainer for a Day, are we able to pay to take the Disney transportation? Answer, "No idea".

I know that the WB folks are booking excursions soon and maybe I will check their boards to get the info I am looking for. It is too bad that there seems to be more info here than even the CM's know. We were lucky enough to find these boards prior to our first cruise in 2004 and have been blessed with the information. I feel sorry for the cruisers who must get 100% of information from Disney itself. Again, my thanks to everyone for passing on your knowledge to me and other "readers".

For some reason this comment gave rise to a mysterious mental image in my minds' eye .... Of course, many would remind me to lease don my eye glasses when having these kind of visions because I'm legally blind without them!

And for whom-ever starts the next thread - please getthe thread title RIGHT! It should be precisely the same as it is NOW except with a #3... so sez Captain Todd! AND ... don't neglect posting a POLL of some merit - but not so much merit that it gets EDITED to nuttin' by our friendly, respected mods!
