Boty my girls spent the week-end creaeting countdown to LA calendars - for us 196 days! Celestine

Not long after we snagged an open cabin in December. DH wrote a countdown clock program for my computer. It's not very fancy but has little photos underneath the time remaining from our 1st cruise in Aug. DD loves checking to see how much time is left. :goodvibes 199 days 22 hours 38min.

I know a lot of you all are zipping in PV. Is there any interested in Cabo? I emailed them and they will offer a group rate I just need to give them an idea of how many. Minimum age is 8 I think and the neat thing is that you can ride tandem up to 4 at a time.

http://www.wildcanyon.com.mx/monster_zips.php I was looking at the 10:30 am time and we should be back by 2.:)

First of all thank you for contacting us, yes we have groups discounts, first I need to know how many of you are so I can give you a good deal.

And for the reservation you just need a credit card number, and when you arrive you can pay at the office or at the park, no charge will be done to your credit car until you are here. If your cruise fails to make it into the port don't worry no charge will be done. Just I have to tell you, we have a 24hr cancellation policy in case you decide no to do it, but I know that won't happen ;).

Just send me the day you are arriving the time you want to do it (9:00 am, 10:30am, 12:00pm and 3:00) and how many of you are and that's it !!

Hope this information is what you needed

Se you soon for the ride of your life

OOOO.....might be interested in this one. Must confess, I haven't thought about what to do at Cabo at all. BUT....a zip line with a real cancellation policy, not just a cancel if the ship doesn't make port, makes this real appealing to me. There would be 2 of us.

A reminder....

For thoose discussing purchasing books on the Panama canal...

Last time DCL, gave us this book for free, one in each stateroom ,as few sea days before the crossing.

Its a good book, and maybe you do not need anything else.

Sounds like a great book, but I think many of us want to study the PC now. My DS is on the fence still about this cruise, so I want to do as much research as possible to help convince him this is a TOAL.

Understood, just wanted to remind cruisers that you should get this book and some nice little guides on board a few days in advance, the PC is great, and my son was so happy when they did it in class the following term in Geography.

I've also got one on the PC which annoys DH as it automatically loads everytime you boot up! I took it off the DVC site and it's a pocketwatch which opens to show the ship on one side and the time to go on the other.

The wine tastings were very educational. I might do one on this trip, particularly if they showcased California wines. I really want to try the beer tasting, though, which I've never done. I wonder how we would go about trying to do something like this through Disney? Or is it better just to discuss ahead of time which days we might do it and sign up separately? (It worked out on my July 28 cruise, at least.) Would there be multiple days of wine/beer tastings since it is such a long cruise?

I agree, I fancy myself a semi wine connisour (although I don't know how to spell it) but I still learn a thing or 2 in the tastings.

Ok, I'm hesitant to take on tasks since it is still so up in the air about my sailing, but I'll see what I can find out about group tastings. It was so much easier to just have it all preassigned before we even got on the ship. And it was great FUN since it was just our group there.

Hurray, Monica!!!!! All my huge hints about SOMEONE finding out how to do this mysterious private tasting finally paid off!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Seriously, thanks for looking into it, Monica.:thumbsup2

We could always get Crash to photograph for proof. :rotfl2:

Celestine - do you have a DD Amanda? Just wondering if your the ones we meet on the Med cruise - if you are - just want to let your DD know that April is campaigning SUPER HARD to go on this one. She's relentless.

Dont forget were having tequila tasting at Cabo Wabo ...

Cabo Wabo? Zip Line? Can I do both! :yay: :yay:

Unless of course I have left over bad memories from July. I'm taking my just turned 21 yo there as she's been reading these boards and wants to know what Cabo Wabo is. I told her the jello shots are good. My plan is to get her sooooooo drunk she won't like it. In fact, she didn't even know who Ralph was - or the white porceloin king (OK so I spelled it wrong - I was excited) . She and her pixie BFF will be 21 and aiming for the bar there.

DD did a project on the PC for her science fair and she got 2nd place. I was able to add pictures of the doors shutting and the book as an added feature. Got most attention to detail award too. So that could be an educational aspect if you want to push that part.

Sounds good, Stephen did well on his as well. and Grand Canyon.

Laura, did you do one on jumping out on people half way up the leaning tower of Pisa, and nearly making them fall off?

You can, thanks so much. This booking flights online scares me, but I like to be in control and know all my options for flight times. Instead of some travel agent (apologizing to TA's in advance) telling me this is my only option.

Doesn't matter if you book on line or TA or go to the airport to book, the airline will change the flight 10 times between now and then anyway.
