8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #15 /Life After the PC

Great news!

:cool1: :cool1: Your brother and your family are in our prayers.

Thank y'all so much!!!

He is still really tired....he can only be awake/up about 30 mins before he has to sleep some more. He seems to think that next week he'll be fine and then he has chemo, again, on the 11th. He will be fine until about a week later.....

They pump him full of steroids during that time -- he calls it being *cracked out*. ;)

I keep reminding myself that he is doing better then last time -- last time his port kept getting infected and he would end up in the hospital ALOT! Now they do that *under the skin* thing so, less chance of infections. :goodvibes

Now I have to make sure that my children & I do not come down with anything this winter. Otherwise we will be up a creek! Jon is so worried about me somehow making Greg sick. :) Luckily I am usually a very healthy person!

Hey all!
Good to log on and see lots of good news.
Just today I booked a 7 day cruise for this summer. I am going to try very hard (probably impossible) to keep it a secret frmo the girls. The girls have been talking about how much they want to go back.
OK, I am finally ready to admit the weirdest side affect of the cruise. I keep "seeing" everyone from the cruise all over the place. I will catch myself smiling at someone who I initially think was from the cruise and then it hits me they do not live in Dallas area. It is just so funny how many twins y'all all got out there. ;)
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Coral

Coral, that sounds like lots of fun! I know I couldn't keep it a secret! LOL!

If you ever want to come South and West let me know! :) Maybe after the Holidays we can meet halfway.

I have a friend who was heading to Aruba on a cruise, so I was sending the Jolly Pirates link. I noticed they had a new webpage layout, so I was checking it out and looking at their photo albums.....

No elected office for most of this group.....

I can't even tell you how funny I found this! LOL! Years ago (25 or so) Jon would always have me rent any movie that was above PG. When I asked why he would say *I might want to run for office someday. Do you think I want people to know I watched Police Academy?* :rotfl2:

Went back to the doc today. Was hoping for an early birthday present and get the stitches removed. Had more x-rays taken and he was really pleased with what he saw, checked the site and said it was okay to scrub the alligator skin off and he removed the tape from the site. To my surprise, there was no stitches! It was glued shut instead. He's having me set up for therapy next. I told him I needed a note for work,no problem. It just states that I'm able to return to work today...as long as I don't use my left arm. :lmao: Don't think I'll be able to lift 50lb cases of veggies or pans of chili into the steamer, with just one hand. And the system doesn't allow "Light Duty" so looks like I'll be off till after the holidays like I thought.

The bills have started coming in. The biggest one being for $20,000. :scared1: of which we have to pay 20%. Next should be the surgeon and the ansthesiologist(sp?).
Guess Kev is gonna have to get busy selling on Ebay! ;)

Debi,
I am glad that everything is healing so quickly!!!! And I hope everything goes well with PT.
Dealing with the bills is never fun!
