Sara, you'll have to friend me since I couldn't find you... there are about 25 pages of your name ...... Which is why I use my maiden & my married name..... My married name is way too common! LOL!
If they had a space to search by age mine would be easy.... I mean, really. How many *Stephanie's* do you know that are over 45???? Not many!!!!!!

I forgot to put my maiden name when I registered which is a bummer since I am trying to locate HS friends! I wish I could change it

Except i can DIS at my current job but Facebook is outlawed (Apparently too many viruses get into our systems that way)

MySpace is full of viruses, also. The biggest problem with Samantha's computer always revolved around her MySpace usage --- our IT guy (our oldest son!) told her he was going to ban her from MySpace if her computer crashed again!

I knew I wanted to keep in touch with family -- everyone with my maiden name is a relative. Although when we *googled* the name of one of my brothers....it turns out one (only one???) of our relatives is a crazy druggie that was convicted of murder. He and my brother have the same name!
I told my brother to just stay out of CO and there wouldn't be a problem.

DH keeps sending me web cam links....he sent me one of Yosemite recently -- Yosemite is one of my all time favorite places in the world.

10ds is a YouTube addict. His favorite thing right now is to look up how to make different types of bombs (smoke, stink, etc....) He figured out, on his own, that hair was probably a really good thing to use in a stink bomb..... great!

readers, Captain Sunny Fox, figuring there would be some interest in
the readers of this list. We have verified with another source that
as of Nov. 15, Cap'n Jack has stopped appearing at Disneyland.

Disney already has enough pixies & princesses-- Bring Back Captain
Jack!!!

A most egregious offense has been committed! At present, all of the
Captain Jack Sparrow face characters at Disneyland have been banished
from the Magic Kingdom, i.e. let go, under the guise that
their "budget" cannot handle the most popular character in the park,
due to the recent addition of PIXIES to Disneyland. A new Tinkerbelle
movie is coming out, meaning more inane female characters, like the
million or so generic princesses already there, that are taking over
the=2 0park that basically do nothing but sit, smile, wave & do photo
ops. BUGGER! Captain Jack is SO much more than this! No other
character there is so animated, engaging with guests, entertaining,
or interesting, and I'm extremely peeved/upset/ SO ready to skewer
somebody over the whole thing.

All of the guys who portray Captain Jack are really fantastic in
their roles, and they obviously love what they do. They're all fine,
enthusiastic individuals, great actors & really friendly, & I think
it's inexcusable that they have been treated so callously. And I
simply cannot stomach the idea of our darling Captain Jack being
replaced by…what…vile, deplorable…PIXIES? ?????? PLEASE.

I want to encourage people to join a letter-writing campaign, so that
as many people as possible would write letters--actual letters, i.e.
snail mail--to Disneyland about this & complain all the way down to
Davy Jones' Locker. I know how many pirate enthusiasts respect &
listen to you & your magazine--me definitely-- and I think they might
help if you asked. I figured you have more influence than anyone I
know in all things piratical.

It's best that people write their own letter, rather than using some
suggested template (since it would carry more weight if the letters
are personalized) , and include the physical address, phone number &
also e-mail address for Disneyland (although it is probably more
effective to send actual hard-copy correspondence via snail mail
versus e-mail--it shows that people love this character enough to
spend the time to actually send off a physical letter). It would help
if people could include maybe their own personal experiences at the
park with Captain Jack, how much they enjoy his performances, and how
disappointing it is not to see him there. Also that it is really a
shame for these great actors to have been let go, when they're doing
such a great job as the character. If they haven't seen Captain Jack
at Disneyland, perhaps they could tell them that they were looking
forward to visiting him in the near future or something. Include the
fact that we'd like to see him return to Disneyland SOON--NOT two
years from now when the next POTC movie comes out. I've heard the
excuse that "this character is not as popular any more--" , which is
absolute twaddlespeak. UNLIKELY. There are at least 20-30 people
hanging around him every time I go there (I go there quite a lot…).

I stop at City Hall every time I'm there to comment on this situation
& encourage everyone else to do the s ame when they visit. Everyone
needs to be polite when writing, (yes, we may be pirates, but this
doesn't mean Disney is thrilled with cussin' & rum swilling
attitudes…)as the more professional the letters, perhaps the more
seriously this will be taken than if a bunch of people wrote rude,
unintelligent comments. Also, PLEASE ask people not to mention the
fact that Captain Jack is really "hot", "sexy", or use any
otherwise "un-Disney" type of descriptions about him--Disney tends to
have an aversion to anything that's not PC, & even hinting that
there's any sexuality to a Disney character obviously is a big NO-NO.
Mentioning his looks will most likely hinder, rather than help this
effort. Maybe Disney will take notice if enough of us write in. I
realize everyone is busy especially at this time of the year, but if
they don't have the time to mail something via snail mail, at least e-
mail Disney & also call the Disney Guest Communications phone number
& complain. They also seemed to suggest putting your name & address,
phone, etc.--contact info--on the letters.

No cooking here. We're going out to dinner, but I will miss all the left overs! I'll have to cook a small turkey next week sometime.

I'm cooking 2 today (both over 18lbs) so, that I will have plenty of leftovers! My big kids like to take some home with them, also.

The house is quiet (Jon let the kids stay up until 1am....) and I am very thankful for that! I have one of the turkeys cooking and the 2nd one will be done by the time everyone gets here at 2 or 3pm.
