I can totally understand the reasons for choosing one over the other! Our kids can't miss 2 wks of classes during April/May because of recitals....

Jon and I were talking the other day about meeting y'all. What are the chances of meeting someone that lives about 20 mins away from us while they are RIGHT NEXT TO US on Castaway Cay?

Until we moved we probably lived about 5 -10mins from y'all! LOL!

Steph! Tell John that what is even funnier is that you are in our Castaway Cay photo we purchased from Shutters!
They took a family shot of us on the beach and there you are in the background walking away with your red shorts and hat!
I thought that was pretty good! We were destined to meet and your Dh was destined to wear that Paloma hat!! If not, I would not know who that woman was in the background of our family photo and it would have haunted me the rest of my life!

I am embarrased about how long its been since I have been on the boards. I did make it thru most of the posts - finally.

I am happy for those who found jobs, pray for those still looking.

Loved the videos and pics.

Hope all those impacted by the hurricances have returned to some type of normalcy.

And for those who are tending to some tough health issues... I hope everything works out.

And Andy, congrats on the naturalization!

As for me. The Wall St meltdown is crazy. Yes, Arlene, Wamu is now part of mother Chase - and yes they have a small (relative to Chase) credit card business. This coupled with our normal Sept 15 deadline and all the family obligations (kids, soccer, school, etc) meant no time for the boards.

We have not sorted thru, nor printed our photos. I am headed to a conference in Arizona this Sunday. Maybe I can do some of the photo work on the flight.

I did finally get the Panama stamps, so I am sending out the FE gifts to those who did not get one or wants another. I still have a few left, so PM me if you want one.

I am certain all this Wall St meltdown will negatively impact my pay significantly (not to mention what my 401k looks like). Plus with all these mergers, my busy season (summers) may make long summer vacations dicey in the coming years (yes, more work, less pay... but I am thankful as many folks on Wall St will be out of a job and no one is hiring).

That being said I have not booked 2010. The Repos are a bargain, but the dates are not good (I cant take the kids out of school for 10 days). I do like the 11day southern in early Aug. I may book it (but the DW is adament against it due to price ~$14k for a cat 6, for 4 people, no air, no ins, no trans). May just go to Italy in 2010 (I promised my parents we would all go to italy together - they were born there).

For 2009 we are still set to go on the 4 day on Aug 30. We will prob do 4 or 5 days in WDW either before or after. But even this cruise may be in trouble as the other couple we are going with is having a tough time making ends meet (they are stuck in this sub prime mess). If they bail. We will prob scratch the cruise and just do WDW for a week in late Aug when free dining is annouced or in Oct if work is too crazy.

Anyhow, I hope everyone else is well.

Sara, I haven't forgotton - will get back to you later today.

We didn't book anything for 2010. DW wants to do a cruise that does the eastern Med and Turkey, so she's researching that.

We may jump on a 2010 date late in the game but.......we're having DCL withdrawl symptoms.

Oh yeah......I nearly forgot.....I became a naturalized American citizen yesterday, so no more funky passport lines for me

DH told me the other day that his brother is going to try to talk their parents into having the family trust buy into DVC..... Or maybe he can talk them into buying us and them (BIL & his family) DVC.
Then Jon can just buy more later.........He knows I want DVC really bad!!!!

That's what I told Jon. I didn't want his brother and his friends to get the benefits if I could help it! LOL! I told Jon that I had looked it up and the person that you use as a referral gets $500.

His brother is the type of person that thinks it's funny to cheat people (and he laughed when he told us how he lied on his taxes... he claimed that he paid for stock that was a gift...we are talking about around 50,000 - 100,000 shares......) so, I knew that he wouldn't tell Jon about any of this.

I don't know if his brother knows a DVC owner or not...but, I wanted Jon to know that I do! LOL! I figured that if the family trust bought some and we bought some that we could use 2 different people as referrals. Since the new owners would be different.
I knew that you and K both owned DVC -- I was sure there were others but, I didn't know off the top of my head.
