It is a copy and paste from another post. You need to post the actual link in the bar to have other people be able to see it here. It is probably from the thread from the first cruise where the pools were green.

I'm quite sure I had no kool aid that night..... I think i saw you guys as i was running down from Cove Cafe with my Latte headed to see Iron Man.

(unless i was drunk :upsidedow and don't remember correctly)

Easier to ask who didn't

(and this was after dark, after quite a few kool aids!)

I like Kool-Aid.

Lady, I saw your kool-aid in a poweraid or whatever bottle. I know it was at least 1/2 alcohol.

Notthattheresanythingwrongwiththat.

No...you were just in denial. ;) I let DH talk me out of booking onboard for our first cruise saying that we wouldn't go for 2 years and 2 weeks later he asked if I would mind if we went in a year. ACK! I never leave the ship now without at least 2 OB bookings ... one that is usually for the date we will cruise and the second so that we can take advantage of whatever comes up.

We talked it over, walked past the desk, even filled in the form but decided "no" because it would be at least 2 years until the next cruise - DUH forgot that bookings would be only a few weeks later. Oh well...

Hey, are those gold medals in your sig pics?

Today or yesterday "returns" were posted to my account for all the duplicate charges, so the statement shows $xx as a purchase on the 1st and $xx as a return yesterday, net of $0.

Not sure if this was the way Disney Visa handled my dispute or did Aruba Visa bank figure out their mistake and credit back

I logged in to check mine yesterday and did NOT have a duplicate charge on the 1st for my one charge in Aruba. I did not use my Disney Visa (I used Capital One) - did everyone with the problem use the Disney Visa or was it a variety of different Visas?

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I've been missing for a few days. Lots of bummer stuff here. Dan & I went through a nasty head cold - first him, then me - which wiped out about a week for us. Then we just started having tons of stupid breakdown type problems. A fan on our furnace is making really bad noises so we had to shut it down until we can schedule the repair guy (fortunately it isn't too cold yet, so we don't have to do an emergency call). Then my parent's sludge pump broke (got that fixed right away!). Then Dan's office laptop suddenly died - he backed up about a week before, so its not a disaster but it is a pain to get everything loaded on the new one (and he is in all day meetings this week!) This culminated in the worst problem - my car overheated on Monday and is now officially dead! The head is warped (either the emergency light came on too late or this is a problem that has been slowly building up that we didn't know about) and they can't tell without pulling it if the engine block is cracked. It could cost anywhere from $2200 to $8000 to fix and it is a 2001 minivan, so not worth throwing that kind of money into it. :sad2:

We had planned to buy a new car in the spring (Dan's car will be paid off in March). This is just a really carpy time for this since we still have a little debt from the TOAL on the credit card (at least it is at 0% - special offer from Discover with a very low transfer fee!) This puts a kink in having much of a downpayment (plan for spring was to have at least a couple thousand to put down) and if we have 2 car payments from now till March it's going to be that much harder to pay off the debt. We also have to figure out what to do with the van - see if a junk/salvage place will give us anything for it or maybe donate it. Having this hit out of the blue was a real shock. The car had seemingly been running just fine.

Sorry for all the griping. Between all this and all the bad news on the economy, I'm just pretty down in the dumps right now....

Pamela, here is a little pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Things will get better.

I hear you about the car thing. Before the TOAL my Jeep sounded fine. A week after we got back I could hear this faint grinding noise. I week later could still hear it and was worst when I turned right. The dang breaks went! No squeaking or anything. Well that was $500 I didn't expect to spend so hopefully no more car stuff this year.

Hope everyone is doing well. Ucky weather here today.

The OP on the main CB posted Capital One

We went through the same thing with our 1998 van, just took delivery of a Toyota Prius....

Not happy about payments, but 1/2 of that will be saved in gas savings....
