I can't believe I forgot to tell everyone.


I got a call from the company I interviewed with. They are in the final selection process and asked that I provide them 3 references. I've sent those off so we'll see what happens.

Actually...Cher spelled it wrong...FIGURES... (spelling isn't one of her talents)

"SHE" is a DEVON and hates when there are multiple Devo/ins in her classes and the teacher tells them they have to go by their first namea and last initial...

In ES she had a Devin from K-2nd...In MD for 3-5th grades she was the only one... Now we find a whole lot more here in Frederick with both spellings and both genders. She volunteers at a horse farm with another girl named DEVON.

The weird thing is you can google our full name and find others with same name....Freaky as our last name isn't common...and adding Devon to it well makes it even less common...

We'll be there till the morning of the 4th. My in-laws are going to try to make it to WDW. They haven't seen DD (19mo) since March... She's a totally different person now... A toddler instead of baby! Guess I should check the Pirate Zone and see what the post cruise plans are! I'll probably still wear my lanyard (unless that proves too difficult with DD) and we'll wear our T-*****s (not every day, of course!) and bracelets. We are going to hit Epcot, MK for sure, and maybe the Studios (have to see the new Toy Story and Playhouse Disney) and maybe the Animal Kingdom and maybe all 4 parks We have no ressies and are planning on just doing counter service or walking into some place. Figure the Morocco place won't have a wait and it's on our short list of "never been, must try".

Are there any meets at WDW? Or is everyone going to just be sick of each other by then?

The only people we have plans with are our dd & her dh. I really don't know about anyone else....... We do have ressies at --
9/1 Mama Melrose (we'll be doing MGM that day..)
9/2 Teppan Edo (Epcot Day)
9/3 Kona Cafe (MK day)
And I don't know when we'll fit in AK.

That just seems crazy to me. I am not planning on doing laundry but bringing all the soap etc to do it if need be.

Same here. I am also bringing *sink Tide* -- it is some special formala that can be used in the sink/bathtub -- and probably rinsing a few shirts out that we want to rewear for dinner.

DH has a wierd rash today too......Told him go to the Dr.....

Ahoy You Scurvy Bilge Rats
All Pirates Sailing on the Jolly Roger/Jolly Pirate in Aruba



I have been in correspondence with my new buddy Carla at the Jolly Pirate in Aruba today and she has offered to send buses to pick us up at the ship for free!! We will have to find our own way back but I thought this was a very gracious offer from her. She has made a request that we do not meet up and come out as a group since there is no way that they can load the buses or boats if we all show up in mass. She has requested that we all meander to the cruise terminal and meet her awaiting personnel who will take our web confirmations and give us boarding cards for the buses. I believe that the cruise terminal probably has some shops to look around. Carla prefers it this way so that everyone is not waiting around. They can not handle all of us at once. As a bus fills it will leave for the boat. I still need to get back with her for what time we need to meet her. I will have further updates before we leave or on the ship. I will re-post this on the Pirate Zone and again after the run which looks to be under way.​

That is why I've been M. since about 7th grade - way too many Michelles in my age group. My maiden name didn't shorten very well either.

I know another person with the same name as me (DH's aunt) - I own about the first three google pages with "our" name.

Both my last names are unusual. However, the main character in a pretty popular book released in the last few years has the same name as my brother. He'll never be able to google himself.



...and no, my brother is not Harry Potter....

Just one more tip... the laundry rooms were a ZOO on board... think 15 days... take soap with you - they started to run out by the end of week 2... put change in either an M&M's tube (quarters of course...) or an old prescription bottle to bring with you.... and you're not going to believe it....but the ONLY sane time to do the wash was at 2 AM... (we had room service delivered and brought drinks and had a mini party...)

Naw, I really think DTD if anything. I was thinking about the van. It is completely open so I guess we will need to take turns staying w/ it. Something tells me my Dad will not care about hitting a couple quick shops at DTD.

Oh Stephanie! That can be bad! I had shingles but it was a minor case. If a bad case it can be very painful. Here's hoping he has a minor case.

We go in see the safari and EE and maybe a few other things Tough to be a bug... and then take a break mid-day...

on the shingles...Will they be able to let him board ...?
