Wow, everybody is in the final pre-TOAL stages (and some are already on vacation already).

Well 3 more work days left here. See everyone Sat/Sun.

I'm checking ebay for a pack mule at this point. We will be definitely in similiar situation. Too much luggage, boxes, mom with walker, wheelchair shared with my mom & parker (hopefully both not needing it at the same time!) and all our carry on's! YIKES :scared1:

Can I create a packing slip and just list every thing as "mandatory cruise stuff" and tape it to the top??

OK...got it! thanks. Just wanted to be sure I had not forgotten SOMETHING else! ;)

dang..."marks animals and liquids off list", but we have to bring our pirate weapons!!

Are you guys having fun? What have you been up to in HB?

Funny thing is, I got mickey mail today too with our ME luggage tags & book inside. I better go back and re-read it all to check the names & stuff.

I hung up with DCL just a bit ago regarding the use of a nebulizer! For anybody interested...no they do not have one to use onboard and recommend bringing your own or can recommend a DME company to get one thru.

Where am I going to make that fit???

If you don't mind paying for the rental get it through the medical company that they recommend. When we travelled with my mother in law she had to have oxygen in the room during the cruise and it was easier for her to use the company. They had it all set up in the room for her so when she got there all she had to do is turn it on when she needed to use it. I don't know if the nebulizer will work that for you but give it a thought

Well, we're just about ready. As soon as my ipod is done resyncing, I'll be shutting down the laptop and packing up the electronics in their carryon bag.

Linda and I want to wish all of our fellow pirates safe travels. We're really looking forward to meeting up with you. It's going to make a great cruise that much more memorable and fantastic!

Be safe! See you in California!!!

Safe travels Mike - looking forward to meeting you

We have 8 suitcases weighing between 47 and 49 pounds each, plus 2 garment bags that we had to body slam to get closed. Door magnets, Pirate Navigators, kids journals, etc are still going in the side pockets of those. Then we have 4 or 5 carryons. We'll be tipping our porter well and it will definitely be worth it!

The most mine weigh are 42 pounds.:cool1:

I think you still have room to balance it on your head :rotfl2:

Just check the info on the slips..since we are are not going straight to the airport..we won't need the vouchers per Disney..I am just frustrated with DCL for leaving me on hold for 15 minutes to tell me that i don't need them (I'm still packing them tho..never know!). This is after I have spent over an hour on the phone for a mix-up on DCL part about our VR...we won't go there..just suffice to say that they got confused on some info they asked for and I provided and then they didn't know what to do with it :confused3

I know I am in trouble when I am starting to question myself if I actually want to go Sunday  seems easier to stay home.

I know everything will be great and will work out..I just feel like I am running a marathon to get to the ship (I know there are lots of people with the same feeling!)

Give DCL real information and............................do they ever learn.;) :lmao: :lmao:

Forgot to add...

HOUSE IS A WRECK ...

Ingrate ST refuses to help clean up too...

DEVIN...help Mom!!! please!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I think that everyone is forgetting that after you give out your FE gifts you will need to pack the FE gifts that you get from everyone else. Last cruise we had a big group with them and I thought the same thing. We didn't end up with much extra room after all. LOL!

Maybe we will get all edible goodies and have nothing to bring home......except pounds to bodies.:rotfl2:

So dancing on the tables with Cheryl is out for you??

Are you taking his place!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

4 days of work for me... :thumbsup2 but it is so much fun to share in the excitment with each family as the leave..

It's called a porter. ;) I told DH when he called that we will just have to get one to take our bags when we land at LAX. Really this isn't that much more than we usually take on a 7 day cruise with the four of us. We have always had a garment bag, 5 suitcases [one small one just with shoes for myself and the kids], and a few carryons. We have always just packed up the minivan and driven down to PC. This is the first time I have ever had to worry about the flying stuff with restrictions.

I think this is what is worrying me more than anything. We also usually drive so we just pull up and drop the bags off at the terminal. I guess we'll figure it all out.

We're flying in to LAX also. Arriving tomorrow at 1:15. How about you?

Kim

Please help... I am debating between 2 large suitcases, one medium and one garment bag or 1 large, 2 medium and 1 garment bag. I can get everything in the 2 mediums and large, but want room to bring things back. So, correct me if I am wrong, but there is no way to ship souveniers from the ship right? even the ones purchased onboard? I wasn't sure if they had something set up when the ship returns they could ship out boxes. I tend to buy a lot...

I would go with the 2 large, 1 medium and one garment bag

Depending on what you are buying some stores will ship it home to you or you can look at the website for Mailbox etc or Fed Ex to see if there are any in the locations we are visiting.

When we were in Venice a few years ago we purchase some glass that I wasn't carrying home. They shipped it FedEx for me and did it all the time so the piece was packaged very well

I maybe shouldn't have crammed all of DH's clothes in the one medium bag if I'm going to do the two large... oops... I guess that means more room for my stuff!

Right there with you on this one.

It took DS 2 hours to bring out the clothes he wanted to take. Then I still had to go through his closet and get the other half he missed.

I've asked him to vacuum and sweep the floors. Still not done yet....heck not even started.

I know there are several of us going on to WDW! We will be there until late on the 4th --we are meeting dd & her dh there, she's celebrating her 25th b-day! :yay:

We'll be there till the morning of the 4th. My in-laws are going to try to make it to WDW. They haven't seen DD (19mo) since March... She's a totally different person now... A toddler instead of baby! Guess I should check the Pirate Zone and see what the post cruise plans are! I'll probably still wear my lanyard (unless that proves too difficult with DD) and we'll wear our T-*****s (not every day, of course!) and bracelets. We are going to hit Epcot, MK for sure, and maybe the Studios (have to see the new Toy Story and Playhouse Disney) and maybe the Animal Kingdom and maybe all 4 parks :) We have no ressies and are planning on just doing counter service or walking into some place. Figure the Morocco place won't have a wait and it's on our short list of "never been, must try".

Are there any meets at WDW? Or is everyone going to just be sick of each other by then?

We'll be doing curbside checkin as my DMIL is dropping us off at the airport.

Wow, our flight is scheduled to arrive at LAX at 12:35 PM. Hopefully we'll have our luggage before you land! If not, we'll see you at the luggage carousel!

Just one more tip... the laundry rooms were a ZOO on board... think 15 days... take soap with you - they started to run out by the end of week 2... put change in either an M&M's tube (quarters of course...) or an old prescription bottle to bring with you.... and you're not going to believe it....but the ONLY sane time to do the wash was at 2 AM... (we had room service delivered and brought drinks and had a mini party...)

Hey all,

This thread moves too fast for me, but I just had to check in briefly because my excitement is starting to reach fever pitch. In less than a week we'll all be in CA setting off on an adventure over a year in the making! It feels a bit strange because I'm so used to the schedules on the "regular" itineraries and this is all totally foreign territory. But hey, it will be an adventure!

We'd love to meet up with anyone and everyone...we're easy to find, as we'll be in the usual Barb and Tony Suite, aka stateroom 5650.

Tony is stressing a bit because our flight stops in St. Louis before continuing to CA (same plane tho'). I'm trying to reassure him that if we made it through our jaunt to Europe last year, which required three flights on two separate airlines, the CA trip will be a piece of cake. Even if it's not, I plan to be so hopped up on Xanax that I won't care. ;)

We're almost neighbors.....#5646! And I'll be joining you in that Xanax Cocktail. :rotfl2:

Yes you are. 6pm Aug 22, Acapulco night.

Save a chocolate souffle for me. Bill and I have dinner at 7:00.

That just seems crazy to me. I am not planning on doing laundry but bringing all the soap etc to do it if need be.
